The thing is Miggy really isn't the classic definition of a home run hitter. He's the classic definition of a great hitter. It's just that he makes such solid contact that a lot of them go for home runs. I'm going to guess that a lot higher percentage of his homers are opposite field than is true for a typical home run hitter.

As well, do do that with his hits and career average there is only two other players to do what he has done...Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. He is a no doubt Cooperstown first round vote.

With the lockout over, hit #3000 is right around the corner.
There is also a small chance that Cabrera could get to 400 home runs as a Tiger. If he does, it would be a new franchise record for home runs, as the current record is 399 by Al Kaline.

To think he could hit a bomb anywhere In any ball park.. Let alone play in big parks like the old marlin stadium and comerica. Imagine if he played at a Yankee stadium or some small park his entire career.

If he had been 100% healthy in 2013 he gets it easily. He played most of that season at maybe 75% healthy.
