2003- I absolutely hated this guy when the Marlins played the Cubs in the NLCS. We all thought, “we got the Marlins”. Then there was this guy. Little did I know I was watching the start of one of the greatest hitters to play this game. Respect Miggy.
One of only 7 players ALL-TIME with 3000H and 500HR. One of only 3 when you add in the 600 2B. Add in his sparkling career .310 avg. Miguel is truly one of the finest RH of all-time. The first RH with 3 straight batting titles since Rogers Hornsby in the 1920s. An all time great ! Congrats, Miggy !
Not only to me the greatest hitter ever.... hes probably one of the best faces for baseball no scandals always interacts with every fan base plays because he loves the game and not for money.... dude is one of the nicest and greatest to ever play 100% should be on every mount rushmore of hitting
Victor Martinez was very consistent throughout his 16 year career and even he ended up with around 2,200 hits. 3k hits won't be done again for some time. Props to Miguel Cabrera for his longevity and consistency aside from his unparalleled passion for the game. First Ballot HOFer for sure when it's time to retire.
Miguel Cabrera, apreciado e idolatrado compatriota, gracias eternas por este orgullo, por ser un héroe deportivo y un hombre ejemplar para el pueblo venezolano cuando nuestro ultrajado país más lo necesita.
Enough can't be said. So as a kid who grew up in Garden City Mi, who threw guys out at home plate from deep left field, had a .416 BA. one yr. watched the 1968 and 1984 world series...all I can say is I learned by watching the best. Much love to Miggy and all the fans from a Detroit boy!
3000 hits like Aaron. 500 home runs like Frank Robinson. Triple Crown like Tax. 5 batting titles like Clemente. World Series ring like Mays. World Series in both league's like Sparky. .310 batting average like Brett. Multiple MVPs like Musial. The man walks among legends.
He’d be at 600+ homers if he didn’t play in two giant parks his whole career. Imagine him in the AL east or NL central for 18 seasons. Playing in cincy, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Houston or Fenway, the Bronx, Tampa, Baltimore. Better than target field, KC, comerica, Cleveland
In Detroit we celebrate legends. Isiah, Gordie, Stevie Y, Barry, Billy Sims, Tweety, 6, Sweet Lou, Tram, Willie Horton, Tommie, Joe D and Miggy. That's how the 313 rolls!
As a Tiger Fan, and growing up Michigan, Miggy is cherished. I love Miggy.
He single handedly made every trip to Comerica worth it
You guys living in the past????
I remember that night, his first hit. That walk off was amazing! 19 years later and I'm still following him. Only reason I got Detroit on my mind

Only player with a triple crown, 500+ HR, and 3000 hits!!!
Congratulations Miguel Cabrera from a Dodgers fan 👍🤘
@@enriquet2562 and .313 life average...
@@zuleimaanare210 at the time I looked at his reference page, career clip was at .310. I like .313 even more !
He needs one more double to get to 600
I cried the whole video. Thank you!

He got arrested for drunk driving sometime around 2010 or so, that’s all I can think of

Watching him stare at the best pitcher of the last 100 years like...yeah man, I got you and then taking him opposite field is just, wow.
Legend
Miguel Cabrera Is A True Legend Without A Doubt
I shed a tear. Been watching miggy as a tigers fan since I was 8 in 08
3000 hits AND a triple crown in his career
If it weren't for Chris Davis, Miggy would have two TCs
3000 hits like Aaron.
500 home runs like Frank Robinson.
Triple Crown like Tax.
5 batting titles like Clemente.
World Series ring like Mays.
World Series in both league's like Sparky.
.310 batting average like Brett.
Multiple MVPs like Musial.
The man walks among legends.
Best hitter in our generation. Sad the media never showed respect.
I would actually say the 2nd best behind Albert P.
Nicest mlb player I’ve ever met
Super approachable and humble guy
Needs to be a unanimous first ballot hall of famer. I really hope the voters don’t screw it up when he’s eligible.
I really hope his decline since 2016 doesn't affect his chances
Que bárbaro
Miguelito Cabrera-el mero mero chingon de todos!

How many would he had hit over the roof at Tiger Stadium?
V-Mart Ciudad Bolivar... Tremenda Persona...... Ex Jugador Élite del Béisbol....
3:49 Mariano new it was gone as soon as he threw it lol
We need a documentary

3000 hits. 500 homers. AND THE TRIPLE CROWN
When it's all said and done, many will say trout was the better player. But, I'll take miggy any day.
por favor MLB Network colocar subtitulos en español 😁
First ballot hall of famer
Which team does miggy own the most 🤔
damn .. avila be on on that see-food diet huh
I know it’s about Cabrera, but… is nobody going to mention that Victor Martinez has a fidget spinner???
Spanish? 🤔
5 years later from being a rookie he got fat... why didn't he stay in shape?
Yankees suck by walking him
Ironic that they talk to Alex Avila, the worst baseball player I’ve ever seen about one of the best.
There have been far worse players than Alex Avila. He was no super star, but he did have major league level skills.
@@cdjhyoung Today, that's not saying much at all.
He was a very good catcher. But was one of the slowest base runners I’ve ever seen.
