Yet another excellent choice of theme and/or concept! It's usually a very delicate line between glitchity-glitch and simply sounding broken (not in a good way). So can't wait to see what kinds of sounds you have in store this time!
On the Liveloop, click and hold the black P.Sel button until the 3 lights turn purple. Those are the glitch modes; click it again for a different version. Use the Start and end knobs to find hot points. Click and hold to go back to the normal selection mode.
I'm sorry I didn't figure that out. The 51-page manual made my head explode, and even the 5 page "quick start guide" seemed a bit much. This is definitely a module for folks with the inclination to do some learning.
Great video! For someone who wants to bring some glitch into their modular this is so good! Have you tried the 2hp Freez as well? Can't be clocked but I saw some people really love it! Maybe more for sound design tho... I wonder if you can also do some kind of glitch effect on the Melotus Versio? Also do you have Beads? That would be nice to compare to as well :)
Here's a video I made with Reflex LiveLoop. In Stutter Mode you can glitch the left and right sides independently. Pretty sweet. ruclips.net/video/FQgtI5E8sYI/видео.html
Since Reflex LiveLoop isn't available anymore (I think), then we don't need to worry about the 50 odd page manual. Who knows, maybe they're going to do an updated version?
Per4mer is the easiest to use. Just mash the buttons (rhythmically). Data Bender has the most flexibility, and is also easy to use. Mimeophon is the surprise runner up (though perhaps the Make Noise folks would take issue with the "surprise" part).

Nice and informative!
Gloves are creepy though😮

@@JohnSchussler It's def a bit overcomplicated, which is a shame because I really like it personally.

Nothing can compete with Q-Bit Data Bender. It's worth learning your way around it. Reflex LiveLoop is also great but a more difficult to learn.

Here's a new vid from Make Noise on the Morphagene. He does a better job than me at breaking the breaks... ruclips.net/video/ovgaeMrfwCU/видео.html
Notice you have Nautilus aswell. Would be interesting to see a glitch comparison with Mimeophon.
I haven't had the Nautilus long enough to do a comparison, but once I get more time with it I'll definitely give that some thought....

Could be!😉
Which ones would you say were the easiest to use and sounded the best? Or easier to get good sounds from?

BTW: is the video 360p on purpose? ;) [edit: seems fixed - cheers for educating me on youtube's approach to progressive uploading]
I thought it was my internet bogging down. 😮
RUclips uploads progressively, starting with low res. It’ll be HD within an hour or so. That’s the price of being first….
@@JohnSchussler Ahhhh, I see - you live you learn. So infact this was just a case of user error, in the form of a quick trigger/comment finger. :D
Great demo. Where can I get hold of the multi versio firmware? It's not listed as an alternative firmware on the noise engineering website.
oh just seen the similar comment below

Where is the multi-Versio firmware available? Found a pretty old link but it seems like it’d have been updated by now.

That is a shame Slice isn’t stereo. I don’t have much room in my rack. Thanks for this otherwise!
You could always get two. Either for L/R or mid/side.
@@NickVu I was thinking that! I wonder how well they’d sync.
@@kitespongan If you clock them and mult the trigger signal it should work well.
@@NickVu yeah, maybe I’ll try that. Thanks.
