    Hey brother Gus..!
    Another fantastic review..🔥🔥🔥👌🏻😎👊🏻
Great looking knife.. I agree about the satin or stonewashed finish on the blade.. no biggie though…
Great comparison with those other knives… really give an idea of the size…👍🏻
I like the OD G10 but a micarta option would be great or even other materials...!
I agree… a deep carry pocket clip would have been nice and not difficult to have done… again not really a biggie..
I think Boker should jump on the upgrade options for this one…
I could see it becoming very popular ..!
    Thanks brother, enjoyed this one…
Hope you’re well and not working too hard……😀
Catch you soon and I’ll be keeping my eye out for the GAW..!
    Congratulations!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉😎👊🏻💪🏻

Hey Gus , great look at a very capable looking worker .
I agree , I would have preferred a satin blade . I'mnot a huge fan of the old black wash !
You made me remember a knife I haven't bothered with for a few years , the Boker XS drop point .
Man , that thing would slice through cenent and aggregate bags !
For jobs like that at the moment it's the QSP Penguin slipjoint .
Hope you're doing alright mate . Don't know have you ever thought about the discord group . I hadn't until Sean got me involved . It's a bit of a laugh .
    Anyway take care Gus , A T B Tony . 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Thanks, I appreciate you saying so. It's always great getting positive feedback 💪🏼
The XS is awesome, but I haven't used it for some time, so I've decided to give it away in my 2K GAW draw, with another one or two pieces...
The Penguin is also in my regular rotation, too 😉
      I'm doing okay, cheers.
Yes, Sean can be quite persuasive 😁
I will join in occasionally when I get the time. I need to finally get a laptop, as I can not use my work one, then set up a podcast, which I ideally wanted to do two years ago, but life got in the way.
Be well, and have a great weekend 🍻

Hi Gus, solid with a good fuller/nail slot. As you mentioned - the Luna has probably a superior design and is so light - no metal liners. This has more heft it seems though. HH edition xs in stock 😊. Too bad Mr Sawyer beat you to it 😉 Thanks. Atb Rob

As for Sawyer's online sales shop... 😁
Well, he gets sponsorship from manufacturers and suppliers - I don't.
      ⬇️
Since I started YT, I have never been sponsored, etc. Though I have had offers from companies, on reflection, I wish to remain impartial, which enables me to always give authentic, independent reviews.
      ⬇️
Though it's not easy sometimes, I know many of my subscribers have appreciated and valued that.
This week, I had to withdraw my monthly subscriptions, to help save money, so I can continue to buy EDC items, to show on the channel, for the show to go on...

Thanks for showing this Gus. I think I’d prefer it in D2 with brighter scales. Otherwise I would be likely to spend half my time looking for it outdoors. Maybe a great opportunity for a HH version in red. I like that it’s a bit chunkier than my Real Steel Luna. I think I have a gap in my collection for something like this. Maybe not this one.

    • @gadgetgus
      @gadgetgus  4 месяца назад +1

      Hey Mark 👊🏼
No problem at all, I'm glad you found the video helpful.
I take your point, but personally I would just use the pocketclip for safe storage when not in use, rather than leave it on the ground, but each to their own 😉
      ⬇️
However, for EDC, I would also prefer a stonewashed or satin blade and different coloured scales including an option for Micarta as mentioned later in the video.
Let's hope HH bring out a version, too 👌🏼
      ⬇️
Hopefully, Boker will do some variations, otherwise I shall source some after market alternatives.
I'm going to try and use some 800 grit, wet & dry emery paper to create a 'stonewashed' effect...
      Thanks for watching, buddy,

Hi. Good video. Just wondered... Is a safe to use blackwashed blades for food prep? Thx

    • @gadgetgus
      @gadgetgus  4 месяца назад +2

      Hey buddy 👊🏼
Thanks, I appreciate you saying so 🍻
      That is a good question.
Generally speaking, I prefer stainless or carbon steel for food prep.
However, after removing the factory protective coating and/ or oil with an alcohol wipe, then washing it and coating it in my own food safe oil, it works for me.
      ⬇️
The finish is there to protect the blade primarily from rust, and so I have found it highly durable, with no residue on any of the food that I've sliced through, so far...
There are many blackwashed kitchen blades that are food safe.
On pocketknifes, such as those with a DLC coating, they are also considered food safe.
      ⬇️
However, not all are the same, as you can appreciate.
As for the Boker WorldWide 2.0, you would have to contact them for a definitive answer.
      Hope that helps,
      ATB Gus 👍🏼

Would you recommend me to buy the crkt pilar or the qsp penguin slipjoint?

    • @gadgetgus
      @gadgetgus  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey buddy 👊🏼
The Boker 2.0 makes a strong & practical carry, yet lightweight and compact + pocketclip, which I often rotate it in my weekly EDC.
However, in answer to your question...
If you prefer compact & robust EDC's, as above, then the CRKT Pilar is a great alternative, for a one-hand option.
If you need an even stronger & longer 'workhorse' for an EDC, then the QSP Penguin slip/ series is fantastic value also.
It all depends on what tasks you shall be doing and where...
      Hope that helps,
      ATB Gus 👍🏼
