The simple solution till the software automatically removes the transparent layer is to use the cut tool to trim it off so you can scale larger. Just make sure when scaling you only scale in the x and y axis. If you scale in z it will trough off the layers for filament swap.
having problem using cut tool on bambu slicer,to remove transparent layer frame. hummingbird totally disappears trying to delete transparent frame. How did you do this for the tiger? want to use only image and not one with transparent frame. do i need to thicken before cutting?
Most all printers can do a manual filament change at a specified layer during printing. You can have the slicer insert the filament change or pause command, or you can insert it by hand in the print ready gcode. No need for a new printer. Check the marlin M600 command, and do a google search for your slicer of choice and "change filament at layer".

A couple of tips, mousewheel is much better for fine tuning as it's always a single layer step. Second, in static Depth mode, the top slider always acts like it's at the top of the range. Third, you do need to pay attention to what your TD is based on Filament. Fortunately it looks like your filaments are similar to the ones in the library. Fourth, your resolution is lower and it's covering the describe button which is on the left of the sliders under the model Geometry dock.
How is the geometry calculated? I understand that for backlit lithophanes the depth would be inversely proportional to the required brightness. But what about frontlit?
@@MrTegidTathalSo if two regions have the same luminance but different hues, they will have the same height, and so must be printed with the same color?
@@MrTegidTathal Okay, thanks. Would be cool to have the height depend on color instead of luminance. As in give similar colors the same height, with a given max number of unique heights (color changes). Also, is it possible to import your own geometry, if I write a program to generate it based on color?
In paint 3d when you go to save there is an adjust angle and frame above your image, in there you can create a custom canvis that fits your image better
Got it. I have the X1 Carbon without the AMS. As long as I know where the color transitions happen, I can pause the print and manually change the filament. I wasn’t sure if more than one color transition could take place in a single layer. That’s why I asked.
I don't get it...what's the point? This is 2D and looks worse than from a cheap inkjet printer, so to me it seems like a niche feature for the few rare projects where you need an image printed on plastic. This isn't going to be "transforming the industry" unless they can do it in actual 3D prints.
Hi. Thanks for video! Please increase sound on future videos.
Audio is too low. Difficult to hear you, even at 100% volume.
Cool software, thanks for letting me know about this.

For Pluto I'd love to see you add red and green and get his tongue and collar to match. I can't get anything to look right in this software yet.
Looking for a printer replacement to do that, amazing.

@@polycrystallinecandy it's actually just the positive of the luminance. But often much thinner overall than a standard lithophane.

@@polycrystallinecandy Currently, yes.

Do you need an AMS to print this?
As long as your printer can do a filament change. This is layered changing example white to Grey on layer 4. Grey to black on layer 10 and so on.

So can this be done in cura ? Say on a ender ? With assigning changes?
How would I know what layer need a color change ?
idk why you disabled all the comment secitions on your old tronxy videos, but that is very annoying. The comment section was full of information
