o and A levels drastically increase the chances of acceptance as it is an internationally recognized degree. Having said that, if you are a fsc(even Alevels student) student don't worry, give SAT and try to get 1500+ in it in order to get admission in a good university, also look up how to fill common application if you are an undergrad student and also try to look at some of the sample applications you may find online.
Also note that you need good results in fsc/matric or Alevels/olevels in order to get selected into prestigious Us colleges with good financial aid (which you would need as no one from a 3rd world country can afford 90k usd per annum).
Also forgot to mention that US focuses on extra curricular activities even more than the grades so you also need those in order to apply, it is a very time taking and hectic process if you need good aid and a good university otherwise you can get into a community college with less effort but in my opinion community college is not worth the hustle as there is a very small chance of visa acceptance+ you can't get a proper 4 year degree from community college so staying in Pakistan is better than going to a community college unless your only option is US (and you can't apply to other foreign countries).
