Amazing conversation! Thankyou "Naayi ki Dukaan with Shantanu" for bringing Piyush Pandey and inspiring us.
💀
The purist...you can just listen to him endlessly. Masterclass in storytelling! And his wit....no hair on the head and you run Bombay Shaving Company...hilarious! Thanks for bringing this insightful conversation....
arrey yaar, I wish you guys had put some clips/gifs/screenshots of the ad campaigns when they were mentioned by Piyush.
That is where I learnt about advertising.... followed by that thump on the table. This said it all!
U brought in the Legend shantanu always been fascinated with the mr Pandey. Loved his Book the Pandemonium Kudos
"Nayi ki dukaan with Shantanu" what a tagline 🔥
Lovely. There has to be a part 2 with Mr. Piyush Pandey. This one was slightly below expectations purely because the man doesn't do many interviews and every word spoken by him is Gold. Entrepreneurs definitely need to listen to more of him, this much is not enough, it feels incomplete.
THANK YOU Shantanu! I was craving to listen to the genius!
I like the way he folded his hands before the legend in the end. He deserves all that respect and more.
Thanks Shantanu for this legendary talk. Keep on inviting such legends.
Finally !! The Guru here, yea Artist ek taraf and Data alag taraf
Finally he is on your podcast i'm so happy to hear his story and insights :)
What a wonderful PR move by getting Indian Advertising's Bastion after creating Advertising disasters. Kudos to the image management team!
Do explain you talking about one of the most icon persons
@@navinblr12 Bastion means an institution, place, or person strongly maintaining particular principles, attitudes, or activities. Not Bast*rd. Please check the dictionary before commenting next time :)
There is an advertising disaster? What happened?
@@user-kp4it5qt3q the print ad they made on the teenage girl with facial hair. And their advertising leaps in general haven’t been too great and have always gotten criticism.
@@Mulkitron i been in the same industry for more than 23 years nowand his is contribution to the industry is immense, guess you need to look up the word sour grapes in the dictionary 🙂🙂 too
Insightful conversation...Big respect for Piyush Sir...❤
Just amazing... what a pleasure to see him in conversation with you.... looking forward for more such sessions
I remember watching Rishti hi Rishti as a kid coming into Delhi from Mumbai.
Legendary episode. Shantanu this is internet gold.
Thanks so much for the video... its ammazzing to see THE MAN behind the best of the ad films (those which taught me 'sense of humor'). I wish there had been the inserts of short clips of the actual ad films. Great work Shantanu! you are awessom!
Masterclass!!! Fascinating insights. Loved every moment of this episode. So much to learn.
One of the very few podcasts I have listened end to end without missing a word. Thank you Shantanu for hosting such a legend.
Learned a lot of these kinds of things are always inspiring.
so much wisdom, great to listen!!
Once I traveled from Vrindavan to Taj Mahal in tractor because I was curious and had that kida I took lift for him & had good conversations on the way to Taj Mahal 😅❤
Ohh my God , this podcast ✨💯
Nostalgic memories came up when the Ad Genius shared his success campaigns . Thanks a lot of such an insightful session 👌👍👏😊
Cadbury dance was iconic...still in my mind
Wonderful conversation. First time hearing him speak. Inspired. Couldn't stop thinking of the ' Tu Atti Aaav' Fevicol Ad.
Truly said. Respecting your fellow employees is the key.
What an episode!! So many insights
How many of you went back and watched that Cadbury stadium ad after this
Wonderfully articulated by pandeji,great learning
Thank you for bringing him front of the world again, he is a gem 💎 of a person.
Excellent. I heard it in one go. A small request. Vodafone had those....during the WC.Great ad. Who was the creator and why did the company fail.
In this episode you never touched upon any celebrity endorsements.
Request make a podcast on that. Thanks for bringing Piyush Sir
This is gold.....
the start convo regarding Naai just hit so hard all of a sudden.
In Eastern UP Naai played the role of rishte wale but also they are one of the few people who are with the family in all events from weddings to death ie Tervi/Mayyat.
Naai also evolved into caste groups who are to be taken care of by the wealthy so during any event the 1st recipient of all the daan/dakshina used to be the Naai family.
Even modern day Naai are 1 such profession who is inside your personal space and has to enter into some chatter and force a conversation in. The music/movies playing in the background have also gotten a cult status in pop world. Now with premiumisation of the industry the appearance has become formal like a brand name of salons and a uniform like tshirt etc but the essence of gossip/chatter is still the same as people show up to fix their insecurities every month - the beard should be exactly dense and hairlines sharply defended. Loyalty towards your barber is also sacred lol
Nauu ☺
Thank you so much sir 😊 One of the finest podcasts on the internet today. I wish ye video thoda aur lamba hota...... would love to see more such videos on advertising and marketing ❤
In this comment section every one is just criticising the host but it's more of a discussion he also has so much experience, he worked for the top management firm and doing great in his startup too, if he is interrupting and the guest is happy then who we are to criticize. We should appreciate him for the fact that he is able to get these legends on his platform for us for free.❤ I have lots of respect for shantanu❤
It's not that ...kudos to Shantanu...flow was too good to be stopped

I am feeling happy after watching this.
Best episode till now ❤
Love Piyush sir ❤
After your recent fuckup, its good to see you brought someone who knows more about ads xD
What was the fuck up? Can you expand on this?
Thanks a lot, Shantnu and team! There are some books you'd want to read over and over and wish the story never ends. Well, now I have a podcast too. Absolutely brilliant minds on the channel. Kudos team! :)
Amazing podcasts! 🙏 can you please bring in Rama Bijapurkar to your podcast?
Oh fuck.. this is actually happening.. you got Piyush Pandey.. Thanks Shantunu.. I haven't even seen a second and I am so excited.
Thanks for getting him
thanks man for bringing this legend :)
At that time initially, KK sang jingles of almost everything they were selling in the Indian Market. I think this is fascinating. ❤
Amazing❤
THIS man has lived the life and a damn good one..!! 🙇
Point that I want to correct
you mentioned 7k student appear for hotel management but the actual number is around 30-40k maybe 50k approx
I appeared in 2017 that time it was 40k approx
Mac Miller song at the intro❤
Shantanu...! You are masta re....Kay kartos! Bhet bhava bhet
Rightly said.. nowadays its about reach and instant clicks.. but not engagement for lifetime.. none want that.. it needs branding.. like kuhl fan.. or hema malini aqua guard ad. It has lot to do with money behind it, high targets via that ad, and none looking at 5 or 10 yrs lens.
this is literally a masterclass
What a legend!
Shantanu's podcasts >>>>>>>>>>>> Shantanu's BSC products ❤❤
Shantanu shud shut down his sub standard, over priced products and do podcasting full time... Good for everyone.. including environment❤❤
Pandey Ji ❤
Could you please add English subtitles for the Hindi interludes
You would be surprised to know that we the Bangladeshi people are also attached with these ads! As these indian channels are always streaming here!
We were lucky to watch those fine era of advertising.
The clip of the Cadbury ad is from the original ad which is titled here as...for T-20. The original ad was from the time when there were no T-20s. I guess the editor is a Gen Z.
Brands are build with longterm view. In shorterm only annual plans are missed.
Interview Prahlad Kakar! The OG Ad man of this country!!!!!!!!
Shantanu ji … aapka favourite word … CORRECT
Correct :)
You should hire him for your ads to taste better...
just 14k views on this.. Clearly iss desh meh hum gadho ke beech meh h.
Please use English subtitles when you are speaking in hindi for your international audience
God I was wondering who was the person behind all those adds 😊❤
Don Draper of India
Loved the conversation for most part. But littile murmuring like when you talk not very clear. May be you talk try to take sometime, Thanks 😊

Hi Shantanu, the important question is did piyush get his coffee?
Hahaha eventually yes :)

Shantanu your t shirt has wrong logo
Love and respect to Piyush sir, he's a legend.
I used to love and enjoy these podcasts until I never received my order from Bombay Shaving company. It's been over a month now and it's still in transit. Looks like my shaving blade and deo are on a World tour.
1. Bombay Shaving company has non-existent customer care. Once you order and they get your money, they forget about delivering the product.
2. The blatant callous behaviour. Lying through his smug face with a grin makes me hate this bald headed narcissist more every time I see him.
3. If he himself practiced an ounce of what he heard on his own podcasts, he would have the sense to treat his customers right.
4. The debacle they pulled with the front page ad leveraging the bullying of a kid, that's the new low. I wish Piyush sir would've never sat alongside this shamelessly lying sack of...
What is this ad people are talking about? I have no clue. Can you expand on this?
If possible pls bring creators on the podcast
Will try - any recommendations?
You were talking about advertising that too with the Ad Legend and all you could think of is the boring way of interrupting and asking to subscribe your channel. Unsubscribed on that silly note 🤣
The interviewer has done no homework.. He should have seen the ads and work of Piyush sir before interviewing
57:26 there is a huge survival bias in this. How many people do you get to interact with whose parents left them on their own and things didn't go well? a lot end up disabled physically & mentally. Solution to the problems of modern parenting is not old style parenting.
Hi shantanu ji
Sorry to hear that your closing your business....!!!
It is very unfortunate to see founder like Shantanu Deshpande and Mr Rohit give up so early......
The above news i got from your customers support team they said you don't have fresh beard oil (only have products which are manufactured in 2022) and we will refund your money as we don't have fresh stock of beard oil, and this is not happened first time earlier i had same experience with Hair Wax ( for that i got my refund also) in case of hair wax i can understand but if your team said you don't have fresh stock of beard oil also it is difficult to digest the things.
Final conclusion is that there is two possibilities ......
1) Now you don't want to give products on above discounted rate (and if you willing to give that near expiry prodct Mfg dt.2022)
Or
2) Really you are going to shutdown your company i.e. Bombay shaving co. Thats whay you stopped the production of oil and wax.
Bhai kuch hindi mai bhe nikala karo
Haan sir - try karte rehte hain sab languages mei
Please don't put interfere in between the conversation. It breaks the flow

You've already asked once to like and subscribe, disrupting the flow once. For the love of god, please stop annoying & disrupting the viewing experience of the podcast. I've already liked & subscribed. Beyond a point, if I see this happening again, I will feel more compelled to unsubscribe.
😂 you rightly said bro
Dude, that interruption in between was very irritating. You can understand the likeability of a video by reading the view rates. It was just so irritating, it is hillarious that u did that
you should learn from the person you are interviewing popping subscribe is annoying not genius
Dear Mr . Shantanu .. kindly refrain from responding with the word correct . It’s very unbecoming of a host . When you respond so with that swift infliction it indicates you are approving the point made by the interviewee. He is the authority here . This not the first instance . You have a platform strive to set a good example. Validating an anecdote with , correct , would indicate you were present there with the narrator in that moment as a witness . Kindly allow the guest to speak they wander, digress permit them . I am aware of your accomplishment. Noteworthy indeed. The interview by Michael Parkinson on BBC , observe , learn , apply . It would make a world of difference . Remember we are here mostly for the guests. With some room they blossom . Regards .
Great feedback. Can you just some more resources which I can personally use to improve dialogues?
Just unsubscribed now, remembered that UP School girl topper who became a target of this co. Unethical marketing campaign without her approval..
Can you elaborate? I have no clue about this.
Itna podcast sab karne ka kya faida jab tatti ads chalata hai tera brand
Frankly, this was a waste of time.
Itne legendary aadmi se miley ho... Kuch refined dhangg ke good questions nahi pooch paaye... ridiculous.
sorry for disliking this video, your disruptions were too much for me
Cheers :)
