This tutorial is amazing! I followed another one for the plant pot, but their heart leaves completely lost me, thank you for making it so simple to follow :)
OMG this is the best heart pattern I've seen! I love it! 😍😍😍😍😍 Thx for sharing. I'm definitely making this one (while still hoping that my real String of Hearts survives 😞)...
Great tutorial! Very easy to follow. I tried to like this video and a few of your other ones but RUclips wont allow it for some reason. I click on the thumbs up and nothing happens EDIT... I finally was able to like this video 😁
This is great! I'm still sort of a beginner and I'm glad I could follow along. Question for anyone trying this: how do you keep that center hole from expanding? I did a string of 3 of these and all 3 leaves have a large hole in the middle, and also in the spaces of those treble crochet stitches (but not as bad as the middle.) Thanks!!
@@alliver43 So I moved along and tried another plant leaf tutorial I found with smaller leaves. This one used a smaller needle and I didn't really have the same issue anymore. I think a smaller needle with higher tension could help us in this situation but then IDK if the steps should be adjusted to make leaves of the same size (they'd be smaller I think using a smaller needle)
I recommend using a smaller hook to make the chains then switching back to your normal sized hook. I also try to adjust the knot so that I’m always crocheting before the knot, not past it. Towards the end 3 tr it’s pretty challenging, but it’s possible! On the second or third leaf, you can also tug on the ch gently to make the hole more snug. I really hope this helps! 💛
Hey! So I came back after working on a few other pieces to work on my skill and omg it worked this time! I used a different hook this time around. The middle hole is a bit big but I made my first chains a little loose so it was my bad lol, but other than that it is ADORABLE. Thank you for your help!@@vibrantknots
@@jujub3 I’m so glad it worked better this time!! 🩷💛 don’t worry about the gap, with more practice it’ll get smaller! I try to make all the stitches before the knot/tail/first ch so that way it’s as tight as possible too!
Roughly 2 or 3 balls depending on how long you’d like the vines to be. Personally, I buy skeins and use about 1/3rd of ‘em. Of course, some scrap yarn could work too

unfortunately I don't have advice, but I am having the same issue. commenting to hopefully also get some help :)

You’re totally right! Using a smaller hook may help, but also try to make your stitches before the slst knot on the ch. I hope this helps! 🩵
@@vibrantknots I've never even thought to change hooks while crocheting, that's an interesting idea I'll have to try! Thanks!
This is adorable! Going to try it right now ❤
im a beginner like haven’t made anything at all so ima come back to this when im done w this project n let y’all kno how it went lol
I really love this. Do you have a written pattern for it?
I do! It’s posted on my Etsy and it includes the pot, soil, and vines :)
Would this be an example of pohots leaves ?
I don't get it, I end up with a big hole in the middle from the chain and I can't pull it tight?
How do you make your heart not look like a blob by the end? i cant tell where the point is and i tried to make my stitches as tight as i could.
Do you mean the tip of the heart? It’s a sc with a slsp on top of the tr from the previous round. I hope this helps!

How do I prevent my leaves from curling inwards?
After you’re done with all the leaves, you can block the yarn and that should help :)
how much green yarn did you use? loved the video!
Roughly 2 or 3 balls depending on how long you’d like the vines to be. Personally, I buy skeins and use about 1/3rd of ‘em. Of course, some scrap yarn could work too
i wish it was a little bit slower it took me a bit to figure it out
Heard! Yeah I’m thinking about doing another tutorial, or maybe a livestream showing the whole process start to finish
What am I doing wrong? My leaves won’t stay flat. They keep curling. Am I crocheting too tight?
I usually go up half a size on the hook and that helps!
@@vibrantknots Thank you so much! I’ll give that a try.
