We are excited to announce a training opportunity with Seki Sensei and Kurosawa San next October. This seminar will encompass approximately 20 hours of training in Asayama Ichiden Ryu, including Kenjutsu, Iai, and various weapons like Kama, Shunjo, Kodachi, and Tanto. We also have a couple of surprises in store!

The Kobudo Asayama Ichiden Ryu, of which Seki Sensei is the 22nd headmaster, was one of the most popular Ryuha styles during the Edo period. In our golden age, we had over 7,000 students nationwide. Today, we only have 100 students. Our dream is to revive the golden age of Asayama Ichiden Ryu while Seki Sensei is still the headmaster. We want future generations to remember Seki Sensei as the legendary Sōké who brought back the glory of our Ryuha. Your donations will be used to cover Shogo's travel expenses to visit the main dojo from Kyoto, RUclips video shooting costs, online lesson operation costs, and training camps in Japan and overseas.

Gambatte! I do know about the efforts to host Japanese instructors; I have been part of Naginata, Jodo, Iaijutsu & Kenjutsu efforts over the years! Even hosting instructors from other parts of the US is a lot of work. My only comment is that the members of the host's organization fully support the effort as this effort is too big, & too important,for a single individual to handle! Unfortunately, I anticipate a significant personal schedule conflict with the proposed dates; otherwise, I would have most likely planned to attend.
Now that Seki Sensei is going global, please get in contact with Matt Easton from Scholagladiatoria for a possible meetup in the future. So many of us would love to see Seki Sensei get hands-on experience with HEMA from a real authority like Matt.
it would be good to have him meet up with Matt, and maybe Tod from Tod's Workshop. Metatron would be a cool guy to have on hand too, since he's fluent in Japanese.
Just let Seki Sensei loose in Matt's collection, like a kid in a toystore.
@@urishima i feel like that would have to be a week-long trip and would end up being twenty or thirty videos.
plus, you could even pull in dratch and have a video about ancient Japanese sea battles.
Don't forget about Björn Rüther in Germany, in case the journey ever goes to mainland Europe.

Great news, please keep us updated about any seminars in the future that might happen in Europe. While I have very beginner level weapon skills I would definitely like to meet you and ask some questions about the style, it's history and some of the scenarios where skills can be applied
