I’ve been finding it hard to use other peoples created instruments in my music timeline. When I find 1 that sounds good, they’ve usually made a little tune with it - like a preview I suppose. The problem is when I try to add their instrument to my timeline to create my own tune, it only plays their little tune/preview sequence of notes. Almost like I’ve added a sample. But I’m definitely just searching for instruments - not samples or loops. Have they not saved their instrument properly or am I missing something? At present I only use the MM instruments because I can play individual notes as & when I want to. I’d like to try others that people have created
They havent saved it correctly as an instrument. There are lots like that. I am planning on making a video on instrument creation, so you may get some tips from that.
Why such controls? It's a PRO sounds and whole process, FX, Arpeggiator, Chords ext but controls are killing me...ufff I will trying but in my opinion it should be just a static screen
You make great tutorials. But I'm really stuck with adding advanced sound effects to my music tracks. Could you make an advanced tutorial video about how to do these things. The problem I have is I want to know how to add an effect to just one instrument. I know you can add an effect that effects the entire track. But that's not what in want to do. My problem is if I have an 8 bar sound block. How can I add an effect to that 8 bar block where I can change the distortion (for example) over the course of the 8 bars. So that I can increase and decrease the distortion effect over the course of those 8 bars. I thought going into freeform mode and pressing record and then moving my widget about in the distortion rectangle would have changed the sound and the game would have recorded it but it didn't. I also want to be able add the effects to music after I've start already recorded it. So that I can add in delays and sweeps and distortions, etc. I've looked everywhere on RUclips and the reddit sub but I've not found any help. You seen to have a great understanding of how things work. So I'd greatly appreciated your help. It's kind of put my music creations on hold until in find out how to do these things.
1. You can change any instrument block independently of any other instrument block, just open up the tweak menu on the block. 2. If you want to change the distortion within the time of the instrument block you could add an action recorder into your timeline and do the changes (I have not tried this).
It certainly has panning. I have no experience at all with other music mixing software so I cannot really answer questions on technical music mixing things.
just stereo or full surround panning? Buses are just ways to group multiple tracks together so they can treated as a single track/instrument. This way you can apply effects, panning, volume, etc to one track instead each one individually.
Some of the instruments have long samples that give you that and loop pretty seamlessly when you hold it down for a long time. While others are more percussive. It will depend entirely on your instrument sample.
@3:13 This tutorial has been amazing, but I have found a whole new appreciation for you here.
I will never sleep with all this great tools & big thanks for all you' re fantastic tutorials ^^! xD
Thanks for these, much appreciated 🙏
very informative as always miss lex
I would love it if you could make a video about making sheet music into dreams music 👍
I have added it to the list. I have attempted this myself during Early Access.

Does Dreams music creation have any mixing capabilities? Stuff like buses and panning?

How to make a continuing melodie? Know what I mean?
Not "bah bah bah" but "baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" with high and deep tones. A continuous sound?

go to tweak menu on your song>slice playback mode>loop and you can change sound loop region at the slice edit view
BAA!!!
