We'd love to hear about iconic cars in drifting through time, how they influenced style and setup etc. Even down to the drivers and certain parts of them. things like the myth of haraguchi and cut knuckles, the b knuckle and why it's so loved, the cars and people that pioneered drop knuckles, certain suspension systems. the intricacies of drifting are what I personally love to learn. I understand that it's not tailored to everyone but that is what really excites me. Thanks for turning us on to Pinku Style!
I am so glad I stumbled across your channel. The information and perspectives you bring are incredible and you explain things really well without it getting confusing or making little sence for those with little proir knowledge. Plus the backdrop is killer. I cant wait to see more content, keep it up!
take your time man! just keep up the good work, the frequency of the videos doesnt matter as long as the content is worth the wait, which im sure will do!
Keep it up Mitto. I think a video on drift car aesthetic styling over the years would be cool to see. From the early years of drifting to present. I know that would be a lot of content to dig up but would be cool to see. Just an idea. Cheers!
How about doing an episode on all the stuff behind you, looks like some pretty interesting stuff. Also definitely do a full breakdown off all the drift cars you have owned in the uk and Japan. Keep it up mitto, loving these episodes.
Oh man... that would be a long episode!! 🤣 Japan cars is easy, a JZX90. I blew it up trying to keep up with Mind Control and Team Burst at the docs. Turns out going from 1.2 to 1.6 bar unmapped is a bad idea 🤣🤣 Glad you are enjoying man!!
Great vids man keep it up! Any chance is there going to be an Outsiders II with you and the driftworks gents? Was a great video! That would be sweet! The Outsiders video is what got me into drifting and wanting to eventually go to Japan and witness the drifting scene.
Would love to see a walk around video of your s15 or the sr gt86 build, and maybe about more about your car history. Id be happy with a video every 6 months if they are as good as your Drifting Techniques video. lol
I remember chatting to you for a while after the driftworks big entry day at Donnington Park years ago which was a blast! Was cool to meet you I know you've been around long enough to have a broad understanding about car setups and styles in different regions around the world, maybe you could talk about the simplicity of the more grassroots Japanese cars and how/why they work so well or if its just the fact the guys drive more, so have better skills. Vs the Western way of car setup that can sometimes be seen as 'overbuilding'. Only because I know here in the UK people tend to get caught up for years building cars, meanwhile there are less and less places to go drifting. Itd be better if people just wanted to get out there and drive so there is a 'need' for more places to allow drifting. Dunno if you agree?
I absolutely agree! The lack of venues is an absolute shame, especially with motorsport generally being left behind for its virtual counterpart. Maybe my next couple of videos will be of some help... 🙏
If content takes time to collect then take the time to collect the content no one likes filler we are here because we love drifting and else better to talk about it then mr mito. keep up the good work
Any advice for someone younger to start drifting? Currently own hondas but would be interested to see a video on a good way to get in to it. And helpful things to know. Cheers and keep up the good vids🙂
Well firstly, something front engined, rear wheel drive and cheap! Secondly, don’t over think, or over complicate things and get yourself to a decent drift school to get the basics. After that, study study study!! ✌️✌️
So first off, I love your content - very educational yet still entertaining so keep it up mate I've got a question tho, will you ever do a Q&A? If so my question would be whats the best way to beginners to actually get into the drifting sport? Im one of these miata dudes that just randomly clutch kicks his car on the street and tries not to spin out lmao
I would love to watch a video about all the drift teams garages that exist in Japan (well, as many as you know/can find information). I don't even care if it takes 6 months to be out, i just want it to be narrated by you, in your unique way of teaching/showing stuff. I remember that in Outsiders documentary, you visited Mind Control Racing garage owned by Masashi Yokoi, Bee-R garage, talked to the owner Kiyonori Imai, and those parts of the documentary were so entertaining that i wished you'd visited more garages. You can show pictures of their cars while talking about their history, wins in drifting, specialties, etc... You can separate the information in 2 episodes, for example, D1GP drift teams garages and D1SL drift teams garages. It's just an idea. That would be a couple of very, VERY, entertaining and quality videos to have here on Drift Crash. Please keep up the AMAZING content you're putting up so far. Cheers :)
Thank you brother 🙏 I’ll do my best to do the subject justice! I’ve got some “basics” I’d like to get through first and then I’m down for the super nerdy stuff 😁😁
Unfortunately RUclips prefers quantity to quality... but if you play the long game, and focus on making things timeless, your videos will get views looong into the future. Even every two weeks is probably too frequent... Just look at Noriyaro’s upload frequency
You definitely know enough people in the scene that if you want to put something out weekly. A half an hour (or longer of course) chat/interview with little editing would work perfect.
Some great stories on the podcast today. Interesting to hear about the physio problems. Trainer Phil Daru has a lot of excellent content and he did a video on exactly what you were talking about but with boxers. Would definitely like to learn more about the old-school Japanese drifters that you met in your time period that are not well-known. Suspension techniques/Set-up-
It’s amazing how bad you can bust yourself up over time 🙈 Appreciate the info, I’ll take a look! Working on new episodes, but the focus of the message I’m putting out is critical.
ruclips.net/video/9nnOS2LVxnY/видео.html Here you go Mitto! Also check out his shoulder mobility & fixing bad posture for mma fighters & boxers- Cheers
more educational stuff! car setup and different styles of setup? the wisefab generation and the origin of the fastest stock chassis cars in any motorsport :)
Having been drifting for about as long as you Id like to see a video of drifting then( late 90's) Vs Now. I know my take on it but Id love to see yours. Id also like to get some information on well known drift teams from all over. In America it seems team stuff is rare and Japan seems to have more? Maybe Im wrong? Also a where are they now segment. There are so many drifters that are MIA. Some I know or have heard false or not (Fumiaki Komatsu passed?) but what about Nomuken? Chunky Bai? Hell even some of the grass roots guys from long ago
I have a good few years of gossip! I forgot what happened to Komatsu, but Nomuken retired, I was at his last ever competition in Odaiba in 2018 and got one of the last ever yellow flags 😥 Kazuya Bai is still doing D1, driving like a beast and being a Kansai legend. I did see Yasayuki Kazama at D1, he came out to see Nomuken retire. I was sooooo stoked to see him after so long. He’s driving again.
Id love to understand the whole style aspect of the cars,,the flashy,,stickers,,Paint etc..is there a meaning behind it than some cars that are just plain..im building a car and love the flashy look but dont wanto build it looking that way if i dont reach a level or whatever it means to look that way..of it has a meaning..trying to keep it pure.
It’s basically a long winded extension of painted armour! Although I have a whole different outlook on this... I’ll make a video on it at some point ✌️
what do you do when the negativity youre trying to block is the event organiser of your favorite track. you spoke about it in the podcast but this situation is special. the greatest events in my area are handled by a clique of the worst douchebags ive ever seen. putting shame on people on tighter budgets, newer guys, people from other areas, etc. its killing the spirit of my favorite thing on earth and pushing away some of my friend from these sick venues Id like to drift with them. anyway Id like your idea on the issue cuz Im kinda lost at this point
Stop giving their opinion any weight and do what makes you happy. If they are ripping on new people, they clearly have some issues they need to work out themselves. It’s instinct to call them out and seek “justice” but really... is dealing with it work your time and energy? It’s doubtful. Just be a positive force and welcome new people yourself 🙏
Drift Crash well ive been doing that for a while and tbh their behavior doesnt affect me personnaly. what I see is everyone paying the same entry fee and that clique getting double the seat time because the line guy doesnt make them wait like everyone. I just drive with them now to get that seat time but not everyone has the capacity to run 10 car trains. some people barely get 30 laps a day because of it and I get 60. took me 3 years to build my skill to their level and it sucked. especially now I feel bad getting infinite runs while others wait. I dont even like these dude. I only run with them to drive more
I feel like their shouldnt be privileged people. Its bad for the sport. in big events with online registration, they get reserved tickets in advance with pit space next to the tire machines and shit. others just cross their fingers the tickets arent sold out in 3 seconds and pit in the mud. If the track they liked sucked I wouldnt care but its the best one in canada IMO and theres really nowhere else I want to go...

Midnight Potato sounds like fun... iconic cars and the ego of haraguchi! 😁
Don’t put yourself down mitto,l think you’re doing a great job
Thank you for the support and good talk.

I learned a thing or two of drifting from previous video, enjoyed the technique vid keep it up bro!!

I love your videos man and I have the keep going, I have a 1991 Nissan Silvia and I’ve been getting into drifting and your videos keep me going!
Great news! Glad I’m helping!! Having something to do is deffo helping right now 🙏
Hey! I’d be interested in some story time. Car ownership videos always do well 😀
Appreciate you not just uploading some boring filler content just to try get some view time! Loving the series so far 😁.
Great vids man keep it up!
Any chance is there going to be an Outsiders II with you and the driftworks gents? Was a great video! That would be sweet! The Outsiders video is what got me into drifting and wanting to eventually go to Japan and witness the drifting scene.
Thank you man! Outsiders II has been discussed for sure, so I think once the world goes back to normal-ish, things can move forwards 🙏
Quality better than quantity 👍
Awesome! Great way to share I am struggling to find good content for the lock down. :) Thankyou

Hey Mitto. Love the vids so far, would love if you could show us a rundown of your S15. Your preference of coilovers, tires etc.
Plan to... as soon as I can escape my house and get to the car! 🤣
It's Monday, I've had my dinner so now I'm watching Drift Crash 😎👍
Sort of 🤣

Would really love to hear more in depth talk about suspension setup. Seems like everyone wants to keep it a secret.
It’s on the way... 😁
You definitely know enough people in the scene that if you want to put something out weekly. A half an hour (or longer of course) chat/interview with little editing would work perfect.
I can do a LOT of interviews. But I’d like to be able to offer more than just that. Few years of nonsense to unload! 🤣💖✌️

Topic idea: Why is love/hate based and what is left-foot brake technique, how it become such a thing (especially) in competetive drifting ?
Ah that’s going to come on the western technique video! ✌️✌️
more educational stuff! car setup and different styles of setup? the wisefab generation and the origin of the fastest stock chassis cars in any motorsport :)
Sounds like a plan must be very hard to get content together in these difficult times. Will be checking out pinku style for sure.

story time sounds good to me haha
obviously with an "in Japan" counter on screen too 😂
Fortnightly is fine because it means better content 👍🏾
do an episode dedicated to rc drift :)
Look up Soul rc
How about RC drift video too, still look forward to your videos.
would you consider doing a Q & A style video
Deffo thinking about it, but would like to get a bit further on with tech videos first. More to ask about then!
Would love to hear about you when you were into Hondas and what it was about Drifting that made you go click. Ps really enjoying the vids man.
