    Holman Abomination: Hold my beer.

      Why?! 😂 At least Thomas is quite accurate when representing locomotives

    It's amazing: this did nothing that a slightly larger set of drivers wouldn't have done a lot simpler and cheaper, but at the same time raised the center of gravity and introduced all sorts of additional axles and bearings.
    -Later on the drawings would have passed in front of a couple of mechanical engineers and probably wound up in a fireplace within minutes!

    • @Lucius_Chiaraviglio
      @Lucius_Chiaraviglio 2 года назад +2

      Even then it would have ended up in a fireplace if it had passed in front of even a single honest mechanical engineer. The problem: That's not where it went.

    Even if it did double the speed, it would cut the towing capacity in half, so... how is this useful? Trains were already the fast way of travel, in comparison to horses, so there was no real reason to make them that much faster again so soon.

    How do you discover these crazy trains? All of these images are amazingly weird. These are some fascinating engines! I thouggt I knew a lot about trains but clearly not as these were new to me.

      There used to be a great website detailing many of these weird trains from around the world in detail, seems to have dropped off the web. Shame I remember spending many hours on it years ago but nice to see a lot of these otherwise forgotten freaks getting fresh attention on RUclips.

    First, why don't you slow down a bit and pronounce your words clearly. In several places, only you know what you are saying. Information like this is more than welcome to rail fans and locomotive - or as you pronounce it Lochmmmem or something like that. buff's. No one is taxing you per second and a minute longer to clearly understand that you are talking about a fiasco would make the story a lot more interesting. I would like to give a thumbs up for concept and thumbs donw for execution - I'll just them them cancel out.

  • @organbuilder272
    @organbuilder272 2 года назад +1

    Why don't you SLOW DOWN. You rush over words and jumble them in being unintelligable. What is the rush - so the posting is a minute longer - who cares oif we can understand what you are saying. Yes, any fool would have seen that adding all those wheels and gear would be a disaster in the making.

    • @Pensyfan19
      @Pensyfan19  2 года назад

      I just talk quick. If I talk quickly in my vids, it's because I probably had a limited amount of time to record, and had to rush everything before starting another project. That was especially the case for the first half of this video since I had less than 30 minutes to record before starting a virtual event.
