glad to see TJ Edwards there on "considered" dude is being slept on. He was just about the only player last year that was consistently good all year besides JJ. Hes a dawg.
Tevin Jenkins and Darnell Wright are worthy of honorable mentions. Brisker will compete too. Kmet may be one of the "biggest losers" with all the extra receiving weapons taking targets away. I do think most of the top players will be on the defensive side of the ball which is ok by me as a top 5 D makes every game winnable.
Top Bears: 1. Caleb 2. Cole Kmet: unstoppable with 3 wr’s 3. Deandre Swift: unstoppable with Cole and 3 wr’s 4. Braxton Jones 5. Darnell Wright 6. Tevin Jenkins 7. NFL schedule for 10 games 8. DJ, Keenan and Rome: split catches 1/3. Won’t receive enough credit 9. Defense won’t get credit until game 11-17
That's a fun list and breakdown. I like that you've got the offensive line in there. I also think the Defense will be the big playmakers to start the year and get some credit and buzz
I think JJ has to be number one just bc he’s seen by everyone as a top 5 or better cb, sweat is borderline top 10 and the positional value isn’t that far off
Random thought: Why not try Sewell at Edge a good percentage this upcoming year (He's 6' 2" and 250 + lbs)? He had 4 sacks in 2021 as a Sophomore. He's riding the bench mostly as a backup LB/Special Teams player. We have other LBs that can back up the starting 3 more frequently.
Not random. It's floated out there and I've mentioned it once in just "floating" it. But putting your knuckles in the grass is very much different than playing in coverage, which he's always done... and always done extremely well. If we ran a 3-4 it would have been done repeatedly last year. I'm open to it, but it's not the simplest shift.
@@BeardownsportsOregon changed to a 4-3 in 2021 when Sewell had 4 sacks. He has the juice to put his hand in the dirt. I'm open to options to assist our Dline. D Walker can shift to an increased percentage of rushing from the interior.
@@BeardownsportsNot sure how much he played with his hand in the dirt in college. I agree it's not the same as his traditional LB coverage style. Just my opinion but I think he could do it well and give us more options.
Thats pretty high expectations for Caleb Williams in his 1st season. Id eather take him off move up 4 and 5 and put Cole Kmet or maybe Tevin Jenkins at 5. Caleb needs to earn leadership this season. Hes got the tools coaching and opportunity 🐻⬇️
Any #1 overall pick needs to a be a leader on their team... That being said, it is a reach or a prediction for me to be one of the "best" on the team, but the QB position should easily step up to greatness. Bear Down
@Beardownsports It's not that easy though. He'll definitely have multiple opportunities to do just that because where he was drafted and who drafted him. I hope he's great. I just don't have too high a bar this season because everything is new for him. 🐻⬇️
How did DJ Moore have his best year of his career with poor QB play? Cheap shots and missed analytics make me not want to listen to people. I listen to yo because you are consistent in your analysis and understanding. For example, no one else talks about Collin Johnson and that'poor' qb going to him showed his abilities even in a liited sample size. The kid can play and passes the eye test. Anyone else notice this?
Yeah, Carlton, that wasn't the focus on my video, but I couldn't help but defend Justin a little there. If you follow me on X I am a little on there too. The Justin bashing is just stupid right now and I really stand by my analysis on him and that he's got it in him to be special.
@bjjamison928, I think he "can" make the team, the problem is that he's doing it at a position that's just so absolutely stacked for the Bears, it's going to be hard to do. More likely is a the practice squad to develop and learn; see what we can get out of him
My take for a "best players heading into" the season should come with proof, not evidence. We can hope and compare traits for someone like Williams but any proof he shows will be during the season. I believe rookies should not be included on this list. If I had to replace him on the list, I would insert Keenan.
If you listened to my whole analysis on that, I said "well... technically Caleb hasn't taken a snap in the NFL, which is one of my arguments about trading for the haul and continuing to develop with a QB that's ascending" ... I don't know what you think you're trying to make it look like, but I'm all in on Caleb, and I still think Justin can be a great QB. I don't shy away from either of those and I love... Da Bears!!
I agree on Williams.... I think he's asking the right questions and learning fast.

Yeah, dude is a lumberjack
Always laying the lumber on EVERY SINGLE PLAY
Love the break down sweet

Good job as always Adam!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job as usual bro
Appreciate it
If Caleb ends up 3rd best on our team, I expect 12 wins.

@@johns.9214 I'll have to check out Oregon's 2022 tape. I didn't realize Sewell was up on the line that much? Thanks
