This was the watch my wife got me for Christmas this year. I love it. The strap is a bit stiff at first but soon relaxes and gets more flexible. That big dial and bold clear hands and printing are easy to read at a glance and there's no squinting to figure out which hand is which if they are close together. To be honest I didn't even realize the hands were lumed, but I haven't worn it at night very much. However, that big dial and the indiglo means when you hit the crown it's instantly readable. As you say, perfectly comfortable on my 7.5 inch wrists and (Thank you Timex!) enough strap to go around it-not always the case for me. I like the kinda-sorta wannabe old time styling. I don't need a bezel, a chrono or even a date function to enjoy this watch. It's just dressy enough to go out for casual dinner or drinks with friends, while not being super attention getting. I think in would look good on a bund-style strap.
Subbed! We at Harris watches from Germany have just started. Well, our watches aren't just fun & affordable, one needs a strange kind of humor to fully appreciate the theme that we have created.🙂Greetings.
what a simple yet beautiful dial! I really like the look of this watch. That shade of copper gold goes well against the black dial. Not a stunner in the specs, but who cares!? Looks great!
These days, Timex is doing some interesting stuff. But this brand has always been a go to if you can't or simply refuse to spend bucket loads of money on a watch.
I've had my eye on this for a while now. I don't mind the poor specs, I just enjoy the design. I specifically like the green dial variant with the white ring on the outer. Cheers for the review, I think it's time to pick one up myself.
Your Waterbury is no military watch - you want to see a good, cheap military watch - Lorus Military Automatic Black £129.99 (if you can't afford a Hamilton that is). I have both Timex and Lorus (among other brands), but I wish Timex would up the game a tad with a luxury range, they already have the Giorgio Galli at £425, so I don't see the issue, and Timex could give the big boys some serious competition - I'd buy a luxury Timex piece for my collection.
2 versions of the Galli now, both pretty reasonable offerings and they do the occasional collaboration so we know they are capable. Thanks for the heads up on the Lorus !
eh, I have an armitron from the early-2000s (estimation) that's a complete rip off of an Omega 300. Luxury brands don't usually go after homages. The only exception as of late is Tudor going after a few companies for using snowflake hands after Tudor renewed the patent of the snowflake hands. Maybe Omega would come after Timex... maybe not. From my experience, I don't think they would. @@LastWatch

That’s a pretty good summary from a happy owner

Nice and simple. I like that they didn't bother with the date function.
Me too!
Just like me with monitors, pc equipment, desk setups, gundam model kits, and
More specifically
Custom mechanical keyboards

If they put that Omega dial and handset into a diver case with a dive bezel, I'd consider it lol
Me too, I think Omega might have something to say about it

I jest, unless they put Omega on the dial, Timex will be just fine
Link to order?
Just google the Timex website and hope they have them in stock
Wow, even Timex is making fake Omegas now! And they can't even be bothered to make it automatic, lol! So pathetic...
Harsh, the bandwagon is getting full
