  • My buddy Travis and I went to a lake that we hadn’t fished in over 20 years. We thought we’d catch a bunch of northerns but it turns out there are nice bluegills in the lake. #bluegills #wilderness #fishing #lakelife #voyageurs #boating #minnesota #walleyefishing

That's what I like about fishing, even in S Fl. in the morning on a glass water day, its so quiet, but we didn't have to take a chainsaw to get to the water. Good show.

I agree, so pretty, quiet, and peaceful! Worth the effort. Thank you for the compliment, and thanks for watching!

Hope those weren’t snowmobile trails. You could be in trouble. Just saying

Nope, allowed to take atvs down these trails. Kabetogama state forest with managed jurisdiction. Also have a permit to cross the usfs land as well. But you are right without the proper permit you would certainly be in trouble also crossing private land through grant and aid trails

I know you can't use any gas powered equipment in most of Voyager, but what about a couple of batteries and a trolling motor? Would probably improve your fishing. Combine that with a 12' V hull and you would have a hot set up.

Yeah, interior lakes you can only use designated boats. This lake you can use a motor. We didn’t bring one along and we were surprised to find bluegills in the lake as we had fished it twice before when we were really young and only caught northerns. I’ll be going back to see what else is lurking in these waters. Maybe try an ice fishing trip this winter.
