I lived in Qingdao for a couple of years in a Wanda Plaza apartment on 25th floor. When I rented it I didn't realize there was a power plant just a few blocks down the road (inside the city) with the chimney in the same height as my apartment. Some days the air was toxic in my apartment. Also, overall air quality is not impressive in some areas around Qingdao. In my office I could see coal ash dust building every day on my desk and I even found the coal ash to be slightly radioactive (2-3 times normal background). So "amazingly clean" is far from my impression of this city. Still Qingdao is on the better side of many bigger Chinese city because it's coastal and have some beautiful areas also.
In my you tube in Australia l can see hundreds of positive videos of China, their Cities, landscape, mountains, history, and there are bad ones too, which defame China, but l can distinguish between chaff and wheat, and l love watching these Chinese videos, as they do show the real China, as l have been there, and saw it with my own eyes. Thank you.
I visited 青岛 in June 2008 just before the Olympics. They were putting the finishing touches to the Olympic Sailing Center back then, so thank you for showing the city in its magnificent splendor today. Great to see this video and reminds me what a great time I had in Qingdao!!

2000年的时候没这么干净，雾霾也很严重，现在真的很干净。当时刚出国，在国外的时候想着家，觉得青岛也很干净，但是回来的飞机上看到灰蒙蒙的，有点失望，所以记忆很深。
