I can unequivocally say that this and Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer are the most hilarious Christmas movies ever made…..so bizarre, they’re very entertaining.

In some slight defense, the kids bonding so quickly with Judy isn't that hard to believe. When a child is treated poorly, they can often become very quickly attached to the first people who show them genuinely comfort and kindness.
I don’t think I’ve heard of this before, but I believe it so much.
Can be true with adults too.

I remember what he said how this movie lacks effort. But compared to the Christmas Brigade the Christmas tree has 5 times the effort than that abomination.

@@gracekim25 yep the movie that’s over an hour to long. The story is worse than the first by the second half is just the characters talking about the entire first movie’s plot and saying this what’s happened. Then Jennifer and her twin sister sing for over ten minutes. That movie is an attack on your patience.
Silent night deadly night part 2 did that kind of sequel so much better and was more memorable.

I distinctly remember an animated short about African wildlife (spliced with real stock footage of animals and people) having a similar animation style to this.

I’ve come around on this movie. Yes it’s still bad but at least it’s entertainingly bad it not painfully bad like the Christmas brigade the Christmas lights horrible sequel.

@@jackgarrison8497, what's cool about Gremlins is that Transformers LEGENDS Peter Cullen (Optimus) & Frank Welker (Megatron) are in the movie.
The Christmas Tree just oozes with incompetence, the animation is shoddy, the voice acting is poor, and the story is incorrigible, it's like this movie was put together by a random generator, then duct tapped with tropes and cliches from every children and Christmas film.

The animation and voiceovers are atrocious
I would put this film as number 3 of the worst animated movies from the 90s. The only ones that beats it is A Troll in Central Park and Pippi Longstocking(which I usually call Pippi '97). At least The Christmas Tree is laughably bad like The Room. A Troll in Central Park basically treats children and adults as complete morons with little to no entertainment. Pippi '97 is an insult to animation and the original book that it was based on. Both of these films had horrendous stories, awful characters, cringy songs, poor editing and rage inducing endings.
