Jr The Best what a great interview. Off The Record, a fantastic show the host is the reason for the shows success. His style personality are a perfect combination....
Good O' J.R.....didn't know it stood for Jim Ross....that is old school. Wonderful insight because not only is he so knowledgeable but further more this man calls it down the middle and that is most refreshing combination, to not be biased and or have some personal agenda. Very diplomatic, objective, insightful and honest.
Wow!! Airing out the dirty laundry of Sable.....how ironic as sexual, sensual and seductive Sable was that she would try to sue the WWE for sexual harassment??!! Then J.R said "she didn't win a dime".....WOW!! J.R was a bit of a dog at least in this interview he said that when you have a demographic of 17-34 and with Sables obvious attributes, you would have to look at it (consider bringing her back) and look at it (Sables obvious attributes)quite a bit...LOL!!
JR is one of the greatest color commentators ever,if not the best.He reminds me of Mike Tenay in the sense that they're both lifelong wrestling fans and historians. Not to mention Mike Tenay has the exact same passion which he demonstrates on a weekly basis.
Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerro, Ric Flair, Booker T (World Title, Tag Champ, Hardcore Champ, KOTR, Triple Crown Champion), Billy Kidman (Tag Champ,Crusierweight Champ), Raven (27 time Hardcore Champ), Lance Storm (IC Champ, Tag Champ), Goldberg won the world title, all these guys did good in WWE, so you can't really say that Vince didn't try to push these guys, most of them the fans didn't care about them and you can't force somebody to like Kidman, it's inhumane damn it !
Does anyone knwo why JR got fired from the WWE those times? I've been watching since late 96 but i never understood the details whenever JR was gone (i remember when he had that cerebral palsy heel turn)
I like JR's honesty but you could tell he was still answering questions in coporate speak but it was funny when he told the host he have no chance with Trish lol.
@Tryztan I started watching wrestling in the late 80s early 90s and my teen years were with JR and The King and they were always my favorite but I do have to agree with you, Bobby Heenan and Gorilla are probably the best. I also did really enjoy Vince doing commentary as well.
1. Hulk Hogan 2. Stone Cold Steve Austin 3. Bret 'Hitman' Hart 4. Shawn Michaels 5. Kurt Angle 6. The Rock 7. The Undertaker 8. Triple H 9. Chris Jericho 10. Randy Savage
yes they are 2 of my top 10 fave wrestlers.and yes Orton and Triple H may be the root of the problems, but I legitimately enjoy watching them wrestle,as for punk/morrison/hardy/cena,I just don't,but hey,to each his own.
Well wont disagree that much but you are forgetting one guy: John Morisson. He will be big time one day and that day isnt that far away. Many people see him as the next Shawn Michaels and he could be it. What he does in the ring no one else does at the time now in WWE as far as i can see. Hes just amazing and will be THE next superstar. Maybe he will start a new era. Lets just hope for it.
While that may be true in more ways than i can count, I never really viewed hhh as a cash cow. He was just that guy that was there. They used him for guys that would lead the company. Like Cornette said, "Hes the guy who works with the guy that draws the money." Now that is an important role, but hhh really put himself into spotlight where sometimes it seemed irrelevant
@ColorsBright Yeah i would have to agree.. For our era, and our time, JR and King were amazing. But Monsoon And Heenan will always be LEGEND! P.S. Comeback J.R. ]:
He definitely sell a match, hence why everyone was chanting "You've still got it" to him after he stepped into the ring for the first time in 7 or however many years it was.
Sting didnt join because of a comment Rock made towards Booker T. On a RAW he asked 'who are you?' Sting thought that ruined all credibility that Booker had.
@Dungarth they did have a real fight goldburg tried to attack Jericho but Jericho took him down & got him in a hold (forgot which one). Jericho got pulled off & held back by his friends. Theresa interview by Jericho on utube.
@ColorsBright - well unfortunately there is no competition (WCW) like before. so actually WWE is reverting back to their really cheesy roots of the late 80's-early 90's.
He probably meant when Brock Lesnar left in 2004. WWE pushed Brock Lesnar to moon and I think they were really set on him being "The Guy", this was before John Cena had hit his stride you have to remember.
Jr
The Best what a great interview.
Off The Record, a fantastic show the host is the reason for the shows success.
His style personality are a perfect combination....
"listen very closely.....lets get it on" best line opening a show ever
I hate to steal Brett Hart's line but ... Jim Ross is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.
Cringe. As. Fuck. 😂😂😂
Mohammad Ali Like you
Bret
I love when J.R. goes "AWW GOOD GAWD! GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY!"
Simply the best for 20 plus years. Only an unfortunate battle with bells palsy keeps him off television.
THANKS FOR POSTING
Jr you are a legend
No Sir! When J.R. would scream "STONE COLD, STONE COLD" Classic!
me too man,all the time, just takes me back to my childhood.its refreshing
Thanks man, this is great!
I was a Goldberg fan.
"Help me out here, JR" "What a wimp!" Lol
"Oh mah gawd... I don't believe he just said that!"
oh look, it's the Big Bad Barbecue Boy!
great post these otr episodes r great
J.R. was an awesome announcer for the WWF/WWE. He was great with the microphone.
Always good to see Good O'l J.R.
this just shows that the stone cold and the rock era was just one of a kind
yeah exactly. forgot to add that litle detail up there but you're right.
Me too, very underrated
Hank Hill talks wrestling, "I tell you WHAT!"
Greatest commentator... EVER
Good O' J.R.....didn't know it stood for Jim Ross....that is old school. jim ross got me amped at the beginning

i know the "attitude"era of the mid to late 90s was the best wrestling, never get it as good again.
TOP 5!!!!
1. Evan Bourne!!!
2. Shawn Michaels
3. Stone Cold
4. The Rock
5. Randy Orton
what?! he's the best commentator in the history of sports dude!

Turn the audio off and try to lipread JR , it's impossible.
JR LET GET IT ON LOL !!!!!!!!
Wait where is ROH on TV?
I wanna watch!!!!!!!
Good gawd he broke his voice in half?!
TO MUCH COFFEE LOL !!!!!!!!
Does anyone knwo why JR got fired from the WWE those times? I've been watching since late 96 but i never understood the details whenever JR was gone (i remember when he had that cerebral palsy heel turn)
I love J.R. PERIOD!!!
JR is the 2nd in charge at the wwe corp...dont get it twisted folks
thanks
7:20 JRs under the radar quips like that is why I love him.
how long ago was this
do u have Off The Record with vince mcmahon
@xndrh hell ya!! he needs to be back behind the announcer's table for sure
I like JR's honesty but you could tell he was still answering questions in coporate speak but it was funny when he told the host he have no chance with Trish lol.
yep,mid 80's-early 90's wwe kicked ass
completely agree
Jericho jumped over during the Monday Night Wars, so he was not going to bury him then. Booker and Goldberg entered the WWE after the fall of WCW.
Thumbs up if you want 'good old' JR back!
Landsberg lost his voice. Thats God telling him not to fucking interrupt the guests hahaha!!
@125possom JR has one of the best minds for the wrestling biz..
LOL!!! Admit it Jim. Sting said fuck going to WWE
No he didn't.
Love JR him and Jerry The King are the best announces for the WWF-WWE
theyre very short on time i think and landsturd wants to drop the missiles asap
@Tryztan I started watching wrestling in the late 80s early 90s and my teen years were with JR and The King and they were always my favorite but I do have to agree with you, Bobby Heenan and Gorilla are probably the best. I also did really enjoy Vince doing commentary as well.
1. Hulk Hogan
2. Stone Cold Steve Austin
3. Bret 'Hitman' Hart
4. Shawn Michaels
5. Kurt Angle
6. The Rock
7. The Undertaker
8. Triple H
9. Chris Jericho
10. Randy Savage
fired twice means your on your 3rd "chance" J.R.
when was this interview ?
1. Stone Cold
2. Bret Hart
3. HBK
4. The Rock
5. Chris Benoit
@Tryztan
I like their chemistry they are very funny but there are others that are good as well :)
is it me or does it seem like jr's condition with bell's palsy has greatly improved.
Its just a shame he dosen't have a passion for the company, hes such a genetic freak and i love watching him fight.
True, yet he is so much more than a commentator.
yes they are 2 of my top 10 fave wrestlers.and yes Orton and Triple H may be the root of the problems, but I legitimately enjoy watching them wrestle,as for punk/morrison/hardy/cena,I just don't,but hey,to each his own.
When WWE/F bought WCW,Sting was still under contract but never appeared on TV.
wow.. if i had chance to talk with jr, i wouldnt waste time with subjects like booker t ,goldberg and sable lol..
there was a streak in wcw? what was it
cengiz temi Goldberg
Well wont disagree that much but you are forgetting one guy: John Morisson. He will be big time one day and that day isnt that far away. @destructodisk I miss old michael cole, the one who used to be with tazz
JR should host this show.
Funny because he really seems to love Chris Jericho, who was a big name in his own right before the WWE.
I love how JR mentions that Sable sued for sexual harassment, then the very next sentence he's cracking wise about "thoroughly" examining her "assets"
Judge Mills Lane called... he wants his line back
While that may be true in more ways than i can count, I never really viewed hhh as a cash cow. He was just that guy that was there. They used him for guys that would lead the company. Like Cornette said, "Hes the guy who works with the guy that draws the money." Now that is an important role, but hhh really put himself into spotlight where sometimes it seemed irrelevant
There is a "holy rollers" Christian biker club where I live. Lol
@MexicanSeadude Thats right.Jr rooted for faces and the king heels
They fucked up Kane's character too, he shouldn't have ever talked but remained the big red monster.
4:12 - Fart
JR FOR LIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Argh I was waiting for JR to talk about sting but he was rudely interrupted :(
Sting didnt join because of a comment Rock made towards Booker T. On a RAW he asked 'who are you?' Sting thought that ruined all credibility that Booker had.
The guy you are talking about had gotten in trouble with the FBI.
Yeah you're right. Do you think that Jim Ross is the best play-by-play announcer ever?
Goldberg & Kevin Nash were others that had AOL contracts and not WCW contracts.
@Dungarth
But Goldburg didnt pass out and in was not a guillitine
Prime JR right here
Fight that bells palsy like a true Oklahoman tough son of a gun!
always amazed how people can find sable attractive.
the cookbook guy ......
@Dungarth
they did have a real fight goldburg tried to attack Jericho but Jericho took him down & got him in a hold (forgot which one). Jericho got pulled off & held back by his friends. Theresa interview by Jericho on utube.
what happend with sable
@InstantClazzik I always say that WWE seems more like WCW than WWF. Have been saying that for many years now.
its a shame that guys like booker and jericho can only get the title after they lose the gimmicks that made them popular in the first place
JR's the best. That's really all there is to it
Wish he would have dug a bit more with the Randy Savage issue.
Actually, Jim Ross has a condition called Bell's Palsy not cerebral play.
Booker t should have been bigger. None of the wcw guys ever were really big in wwe except the kliq.
Goldberg?
glad they brought Jim Ross back
