- In this video, we are reviewing two items from Walden Farms that were mailed to us from Nina in Ohio. Items include the Whipped Peanut Spread and Strawberry Fruit Spread. They are both calorie free, fat free, carb free, gluten free and cholesterol free.

I was at the grocery store earlier today and this lady was about to buy this stuff like 2 feet away from me. I heard her talking to her kids about how they should try "the zero calorie option." I went over and told her about your guys' review and that I recommend she shouldn't buy it. She put it back and her kids went "ewwww", so I think you guys saved a family about 5 bucks!

Oh my goodness, you guys are too hilarious (though I feel bad for laughing, since you had to experience the nasty fake peanut butter) - and I commend you for trying all of these foods, because I know I definitely wouldn't have the courage to. And that was priceless, tricking Andrew at the end, hahaha :) The fake peanut butter proves that having REAL peanut butter or even peanut powder is way more worthy.
I really do like the Strawberry Spread, but that peanut spread was just horrific!

OMG! Lol! That is the same exact reaction I had to that peanut spread! So so gross! 😂😂😂 The chocolate syrup isnt near not even close to as bad as that peanut spread... The caramel isnt bad... All of the waldons farms stuff are chemical shit storms! Lol

Ahahaha 😀. I had to check this out again, wanted a good laugh. I tried this many years ago and had the same reaction. Definitely this is the worst food I ever placed in my mouth. If it's not discontinued it's a miracle!😀. Tho, good laugh!

Thank you Tami and Kevin for your review, I felt so bad for you both since that spread was so awful, I definitely won't be trying it. My favorite sugar free strawberry preserves is made by Natures Hollow, sold on netrition, it's abit pricey at nearly $5 per jar but it's absolutely my favorite sugar free strawberry preserves and I've tried several. Love your videos. Thanks for making them. P.S. Andrew's a great sport and a really nice man.

At 2016 I tried to convince our manager to bring this brand into Kuwait, he asked for samples, soon after tried the chocolate peanut butter he kicked my ass out of the company!!!!

You might not have liked it...but was it really more horrible than the Marmite or Vegimite? If you could get Ashley over...you should have her try it. We couldn't believe Andrew ate it.

I'm mad at my local sprouts store. They recently took my Better 'N Peanut Butter off their shelves, because they claimed they weren't really selling well. They still have that Walden Farms crap on their shelves. As bad as it is, I don't see anyone buying that. So why did they take something that tasted 100% better off the shelves?
I cannot stand it when stores make these decisions based on no data at all.
I think I'll like the strawberry jam because I don't like the watery syrup texture. I want something thicker.

I just bought this at a place called Paul's and.....it smells and tastes like dirt....SO LIKE....I have a question...when you guys opened the jar...was it the consistency of jello? Or like a loose set jelly?....because the batch I have right now (baught on 3/17/2022) is that texture and didn't look very pleasant when I opened it....this jar was 5 dollars .-. I hope people with tastebuds don't get this
It was like a loose-set jelly. I have totally stopped buying this brand. I tried to go back to the syrups after being away for a few years, but they tasted VERY artificial to me now.

I really like the pancake syrup and caramel syrup. I sometimes use the bbq sauce. I find it tastes good. but I also have not eaten "real" bbq sauce in years so maybe thats why it tastes good to me. the chocolate syrup is very strong and has a strong chemical taste. I would not recommend it. I haven't tried any other products and will definitely not try that peanut spread haha
I have no plans to try the chocolate syrup. Many people have said it has a chemical flavor.
Walden Farms chocolate sauce is good.

It's been years since I've had the Walden Farms Peanut Butter spread and yet I still remember how awful it was!

This was mailed to us from a viewer (the blueberry wasn't).
the person that writes those analogies at the outside Great Taste whatever probably isn't going to eat it and they've been in the lab too long and things are starting to get hazy for them

Okay....being 1000% fair, there have been more misses than hits from Walden Farms. I admit that. But I've been using their products for years (albeit some long breaks from them here and there), but I wholeheartedly disagree with whoever said that Walden Farms chocolate sauce wasn't good.
*People, you have to stop comparing these products to what you were raised on.*
Of course it's not going to beat Hershey's chocolate syrup! It's loaded with sugar!
You have to stop comparing these type of products to the mainline stuff which is packed with calories _(and please note: Those too have unhealthy substances and chemicals in them as well)._ These products are for people on special diets who can't eat what everyone else is eating. If you compare a juicy piece of steak to a piece of baloney, of course the steak will win..... *_every single time!_*

It was pretty bad, but this was worse.
too funny! I don't even know how they can call that peanut spread when they didn't even wave a peanut over the jar, let alone put some in it! some things were not meant to be calorie free. also I was thinking, you could probably heat some of that jelly up and drizzle it over your waffle, or dip it like you did your syrup.

I think Kevin dies a little inside when he asks, "What are we trying today?" in an excited voice and then I show him the bottles. HAAAAAA! HAAAAAA!
Wow. When you guys started in with reading the label and said "calorie free," I just assumed you'd made up a fake product name and were reading fake nutrition label facts. Because how on earth could any spread like this, even a low-calorie option, be completely calorie free?
But nope. Looked it up on Amazon, and was surprised to see this is real product. (With really negative reviews and really bizarre sounding ingredients.)
They do have bizarre sounding ingredients. I love their strawberry syrup the best.
There are some things that can be made low calorie and taste good, Like Maple Syrup, But if your taking Peanuts/PB that are high in calories, and fats, and making it CALORIE FREE, FAT FREE, No, just no.
Walden Farms is a strange interesting company, in that some of their items I just can not live without, while others are some of the worst things I've ever tasted.
My scale would be like this:
5*s - Love it, can't live without it
4*s - really like it for very specific applications
3*s - meh, didn't hate it, wouldn't buy it again though, would probably finish it
2*s - didn't like it and wouldn't buy it again
1* - worst thing I've ever had
5* for me would be:
1) their blue cheese dressing and dip (very light flavor, I hate an intense blue cheese flavor)
2) caramel dip - delicious on apples
4*s:
1) pancake syrup - works with meats for me, like dipping sliced hot dogs in (for actual pancakes, I prefer Smuckers 20 calorie syrup)
2) honey mustard dressing - way too light flavor to satisfy, but I mix a lot of this with a little of the intensely flavored Texas Pete Honey Mustard and it's delicious and low calorie
3) Jersey Sweet Onion dressing - I add it to mashed potatoes (weird I know)
3*) I put their peanut butter here. I didn't despise it as you did, but wouldn't get it again. I've since discovered PB2 and to me that tastes exactly like peanut butter!
(Besides your 1* reaction to it and my 3* reaction to it, someone must love it, because WF have put out new flavors of it including a cinnamon raisin PB)
2*:
1) strawberry syrup - I know you like this so I think each person has to try their products, did not work for me
2) all their fruit spreads (I don't like Smuckers sugar free either. Polaner sugar free (grape!) tastes by far the best to me)
3) their mayos (I've heard adding lemon juice helps but I'd tossed them by then)
4) Ranch Dressing and dip
1*:
1) ketchup
2) tomato sauce
3) apple butter
Each one of those was obscene to me. But they still make them so some people must be loving them.
I once read a review of a person who hated their caramel dip. I thought, is this person insane? But then I hate all diet sodas (except diet Squirt!) and millions love them.
So keep trying WF and sooner or later you will find other products of theirs you love. When you do, it's like a choir of angels singing because it's zero calories.

fake p.b. that smells like jalapeno...fun fact, I once had a jar of Great Value (Walmart) applesauce that had a distinctly green bean smell...I didn't eat but a taste, wrote to Walmart, & whoever answered didn't even seem surprised at what I was reporting...someone didn't clean the machines, I'm guessing?

The things I really like is their Strawberry and Blueberry syrups, although this spread was good too.
