Hey... I play in Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets and emulate David and Syd’s tones. I just wanted to say I LOVE your playing and your tone is fantastic. Cheers! Lee
Just discovered your channel and almost binged watched everything! Absolutely great! And gilmour is my fav guitarist, and you certainly did him justice with your playing! Thank you
I loved especially the G2. Perfect rock tone. But all his pedals seem to sound great. And you are one of the few guys who get a great Strat tone and play the right notes!
With a clean platform, I think when you want a good lead tone, you need a midrange sounding pedal and a Fuzz or distortion together or it doesn't cut. As I play in a function band, I am clean most of the time. I found the JHS AT plus with its boost which give midrange cut, works the best and doesn't take up space on my board. The Cornish stuff is awesome and seems to cut well even without a boost!
Die 1955 er sind die besten, alles Liebe ,wenn ich nicht akustisch unterwegs wäre,wünschte ich die Strat so schön gewürgt zu haben wie du! Ich hoffe wir sehen uns wieder🥃
Wow.!! I love your stuff We have very similar taste in gear.. love your playing and the information on gear .. do you do lessons , teach .,?? Oh that tube driver .. have you ever tried a different tube in it ..I have that same reissue tube driver but it’s just got way too much gain. So I’m gonna try an AU7 in it .. and maybe a few others .. the Pete Cornish pedals are fantastic I’ve never seen one living here in the states they’re not very common at all.. thanks
hai nelle dita un suono eccezionale! ho visto tutti i tuoi video. Potresti suonare anche il manico di una scopa ed il tuo suono sarebbe sempre quello di Helmut, gran gusto, gran personalità.
Aloha Braddah! I have to say that if you cut your hair (or pony tail it back), you would definitely look like David Gilmour (or his brother)….there is a resemblance! Outstanding playing! Mahalo nui loa for sharing!
The tube driver is not easy to work with. It’s so beefy and thick it’s kinda best suited for a big rig, and once you set it for a certain tone it’s not super flexible, it will do many things but mostly only one thing well at a time. I suspect it’s best for a midsy amp, it can get at bit scooped or dark sounding, and the low end can get a bit flabby if not otherwise tempered and the high end can get a bit fizzy at higher gain settings. You really need to work with it but applied right it can be really great.
@@Biblrocks At least I don’t see it as that one pedal you could do a whole standard gig on with different musical styles. Its a little more specific in its application. It’s worth noting that Gilmour generally also uses more than one to get a variety of related tones as I recall.
Hi, Helmut love your channel mate, Question what is the amp and pickups in this video? I'm searching for a mid gain pedal like what you are playing here to compliment my Germino Club 40 (1968 bass spec plexi). My main guitar is a Fender CS 59 relic with Klein epic 59 pickups.
Awesome. Could you define the pedal chain order and whether you are using buffers? I am not clear on what all the pedals are (brand name). Especially the one with the dead mouse on it. Thx
Este canal de videos es de una calidad excelente!!!muchas gracias por tu trabajo. Impresionante tono como siempre.....what pickup do you use in this strat?
Hello! How do You mic your amps? Are You using some kind of attenuator and CAB sim because that clean tone from Hiwatt is one of the best tones I have ever heard. Many thanks.
Hey Helmut i really enjoyed watching this video , your tone and playing is brilliant.Just one question.....i hear you a have a slight delay effect ? just wondering which delay unit you are using? Thanks !
Somehow a mouse got in there an on pedal. Just flick it off with finger. No business 4 that mouse to be in there ,when there is rocking an rolling going on.stupid mouse. Next time set up a mouse trap next to u overdrive pedal

the cornish pedals have all the germanium touch, cool, but main reason for buying them is value.

well, there are lots of fine pedals out there.

Great tone as usual. I have a Butler from 40yrs ago, it sounds great but a little noisy. I really like the RYRA KlonKlone also.
yeah, pedals with tubes are sometimes a little noisy.

pls. give infos about what type of delay and miliseconds setting and feedback settings (repeats)
i always use uad capitol chambers and echo boy plex on the track.
while talking i use uad echoplex.

improvising over a jam track🥃

the hiwatt is always connected to the marshall cab and miked with a royer 121 & shure sm57.

1969 pre rola celestion greenbacks.

what about pro co rat 2 comparing to p-1? not the same league?
not really in my opinion. it‘s very different.
Hello Helmut--Are these pedals better for single coils type guitars? I ask because I have les pauls with humbuckers at the moment. Thank you.
you mean the fuzzes, yeah, normaly it‘s easier with single coils, could get muddy with humbuckers.
WOW
🙏🏼
yes, yes, yes!!!

sure 😎
Great sound!! What year is that Strat? Original pickups etc?
thank‘s. it‘s from 63, use pickups my tech andrew wounded for me.

That's a lot of tone in that room there! I don't like Friedman amps, it's like a Marshall that hates itself.
that‘s a funny description. the small box is killer.
