Thanks for just the basics Sandy! I had bought a few of this type of stamps a while back but after not getting good results quickly I set them aside as I was busy doing OWH cards at the time. Now I'd like to pull them out again and use your tips to give them another try.
Hi Sandy. Jeanne Jordan here (babysitting and using son's computer) I just bought these AI sets and a few others (water can, mailbox) so THANK YOU for these lessons. They will be so helpful. The more I use water color, the more I want to learn!
I was at Expo here in SF area yesterday & Art Impressions was there. I sang your praises & bought a bunch of their stamps so I can do these techniques. Thanks for sharing your talent
I've been playing with these same stamps, and you mentioned my exact problem: brush control! I have also learned about waiting for dry time before adding more ink. I found your comments really helpful to solidify these lessons. I have been using a round 2 or 4 thinking I would have better control, but what your video has enlightened me to is that I am struggling because those tiny brushes dry out before I finish my strokes, then they bend and are no longer pointy. I will try the bigger brush. I love these images also! I am so grateful, as a crafter and not an artist, that even I, can achieve a pleasing picture - and I am just learning.
I have one of these sets, but have never done anything with it because I was too intimidated! I just didn't really know where to go with it. You've given me courage--thank you! :)
I always enjoy your teachings and all your videos in general! Thanks for sharing these ideas!! I love AI scenery stamps (and pretty much every stamps they make though I don't have many) and I can't wait to be able to get my hands on some of these. I'll see if I can also get some of there ones from last year that were also so pretty.
I'm addicted to art impressions water color stamp sets! I took a class at the last scrapbook expo.. amazing! These are are a blast! Thx for sharing!!!!!
Thankyou Sandy some really cool tips, you make it look so easy....lol but will diffinently be trying these tips.. The tape you have used and I have seen a blue tape used by alot of crafter / stampers. Mimi from PB uses the blue one, I have tried to find them here in Australia but i really don't know what its actually called have bought a few but they alway pull the paper away, if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it thanks....😍😃😄
Thank you for this Sandy. I have a lot of these Art Impressions stamps but I have never been able to find the teeny tiny acrylic blocks that you have. Could you please tell me where you got the smallest ones? It is much harder to use the tiny stamps without them. xx
+Gloria Charter Not sure if you will get this or not since it's been a month since you question. I bought a set of those tiny one inch blocks from Art Impressions....here is the item number - 4663 - pack of 5 for $4.00
Hi Sandy, I just bought my first set of AI stamps. (The basket set). I had two failed attempts using Stampin Up markers. The ink didn't blend well with the SU markers. Is there a difference in the Marvy markers or other markers when using the AI stamps? Thank you for answering my question, as I really want to learn to watercolor with AI stamps.
Each watercolor marker is a little different - I havent tested SU but know some folks like them. Try getting a couple Tombows to compare to your SU and that might help you decide if you want to get more Tombows.
Cross pecans+ The stamps r so simple . You could draw those simple little designs quite easily and paint them quite simply. I certainly could not afford all that stuff. And I have learned from watching her use of watercolor. And this is an income for her as she is advertising for a company. We all need a job. And although I can't buy stamps I enjoy her channel and she is quite a good representative for this company. I wouldn't mind having a job like that. Making money doing something I enjoy.
Can you tell me why my distress inks don't work very well on clear stamps? I'm new to stamping (not gonna get too far into it.) Does it have anything to do with the stamps being £1? O.o ergh, the ink just doesn't disperse well so the stamps end up being alll patchy.
+MisaMisa - Hi, I'm Jeanne Jordan (using my son's computer.) Distress inks are different than other dye inks, hybrid inks, and pigment inks. They don't work well with stamps because of their properties. However, Distress inks work great for other techniques and uses (just google it.) To understand the differences between different inks, search it on Sandy's blog or other utube channels. There's a ton of information.
Thank you for the basics of AI watercolor stamps. While it looks really interesting, I think I'm going to stick with watching and learning for now. The watercolor line is rather new to me. I've seen Kristina Werner with the clear stamps but never really looked into what other products they have. Now to learn as much as possible from you and the AI channe. :D
+Sierra0209 Je bande vers le bas de sorte qu'il reste encore ; il ne sera pas voler loin , mais pourrait se déplacer pendant que je suis le tournage . (Je souhaite que traduit correctement!)
I stamped a square for a quilt with these sets. Used markers for cloth. It came out beautiful.

I love this information. I took my first AI watercolor class last summer at Scrapbook Expo and I love it.
I have one of these sets, but have never done anything with it because I was too intimidated! I just didn't really know where to go with it. You've given me courage--thank you! :)
Thank you so much for all the techniques. I have these sets, but had no idea how to continue beyond the stamped image. I need to experiment more!!!
Sue Townsend yes you do, don't give up! watch some of the other a i tutorials, they are helpful. you can do it!

Great tutorial. I need you to put it together. I lack artistically foresight.

+Gloria Charter I've had them for eons from way back when I bought all those dollar stamps. I'm not sure where you could get them?
+Sandy Allnock Thank you for your reply Sandy x

Thank you very much for this Jeanne. I will try to get some of these. Thank you again
Gloria
Thanks for a great tutorial. I have many little stamps like these and will enjoy playing with them and water colors!
Beautiful Tutorial.
I love these but they are just so pricey!
hello, I love all your vídeos and classes. I have a question can I paint with zig brush this watercolor?
+Maria Soledad de Jorge it's tough to control---the zigs break down so fast with water they get a bir mushy pretty fast.
+Sandy Allnock thanks a lot I think will be that problem. Thanks for your fast answer and thanks for all you always teach us
Sandy, can you use these stamps with dye inks. Love the look of them but really am not a big water color fan. (To intimidating to me)
+cindy lou I suppose you could but I'm not sure what kind of look it would provide.
+Sandy Allnock Thank you so much for your response. You are such a great person and wonderful teacher. Thank you agai.
What was the name of the blending brush? What size did you use?

Thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate it.
I love these sets.Ive never seen them before. The small flower sets could be used for under water plants and coral. I need these. TFS
Sandy have you tried AI with Pearl Ex and or Twinkling h2o? Any suggestions?
Hmmm nope...
oh wow here I go thanks
Thanks for sharing
Great tips. Thanks 🙏🏻
those sets of stamps are just too expensive. i appreciate the many ways you show tho...very talented.

Oooh, okay that makes sense. Thank you :)
As Jeanne said, they have properties that resist the acrylic; they work great with these stamps since they're cling stamps though. 😍
+Sandy Allnock I'm so glad that MisaMisa asked this because I also wondered why the Distress Inks didn't work well on my acrylic stamps.
Sandy Allnock and

Where do you get your container for the stamps?
Mine are in old Stampin Up cases. Like a decade old.
Sandy Allnock LOL okay, thank you. Really enjoy your videos!
4 morceaux dans les coins auraient suffit ; quand on voit le prix du rouleau , on a pas envie de le gaspiller
vous avez peur que le papier s envole ?, juste pour des petits motifs ?
