Tips to help Genesis to eat
1. Eat with her, turn the tv off and sit and eat with her (I know that’s easier said than done)
2. Let her help you with prep and allow her to be part of the cooking process.

Girl, I love the mention of stewarding the gift of having children. I'm a new mom and the first 5 months have been a learning curve, but I do love being a mother and pouring into my child. So, I definitely am touching and agreeing.
Thanks Maya for your encouraging words. I’m a new mommy with a two month old and your words spoke to my soul! My goal this year is to find a balance with all the hats I wear. My husband and I are pastors and this requires a lot of time, but now that I’ve stepped into this new mommy role, which I prayed for for over 10 years, I need to embrace God’s gift. So as I’m shepherding others I need to be loving and taking care of my little family ❤ It’s about that balanced life! I also need to have more self care to take care of myself!
Girl, that message about motherhood made me shed a tear, I hate being that person to tell other people not to have kids, but that statement was based off of the bad days, the rough day, the crying days && as of lately I have been praying to the Lord to break this generational way of parenting some days are better than others but I can’t wait to get where you are, and love every single moment of motherhood. I have two boys one is three and the other one is one. The three year old test, my patience to the fullest && I’m trying to get to a point where I can understand and communicate with him and he can understand where I’m coming from.. it’s a process. As a senior in high school soon to turn 18 and go off to college, one of my 2024 goals is to outwardly express appreciation more often and do more to help out my parents in any way possible, even if it’s something small like saying “thank you”. My parents are married and recently our double income household unexpectedly became a single income household. We are taking it day by day to adjust and are trusting in God to help us overcome this obstacle. If I were to win this giveaway, I would give the money to my mom to help her in this difficult time and because throughout my high school year, I have realized how expensive life is. The goal that I am really trying to achieve this upcoming year is to be fully dependent on God. I am a Christian and I can definitely tell you that it is a struggle especially when you grew up trying to be independent. Me being more dependent will help me with all my other goals such as getting my license and building my businesses.

I recently asked God to change my ways and approach because I am pregnant 12 years later. I have a tween and will have a newborn. I want to be changed Lord! ❤

One of my goals for this year (and this vlog literally hit it on the spot) is as a mother becoming more gentle. I’ve been in survival mode since I became a mom at 17 and although my son has been raised with love, knows loves, is the kindest young man and so much more, I know as a mother and the space I’m in now my focus right next to continuing building my relationship with Christ and God is becoming more of a gentle mother, flourishing in my femininity, being more patient, and nurturing along the way. I enjoy every second of motherhood, and my son just turned 11 the day after Christmas but I’ve learned so much along the way so this is definitely one of my goals this year ❤ happy new year to you and your family 🙏🏽🫶🏽✨🎉

I’m 20 years old and became a mother 2 months ago and the struggle has been so real. I’ve neglected myself in so many ways because I’m so dedicated to taking care of my son and mentally I can feel it. So self care and making myself a priority again in 2024 is a MUST. My relationship with God has fallen by the wayside but without him I am nothing and without him I can’t make it, especially through these trials and tribulations. So my Bible and my heart has to be open in 2024 so I can hear God’s voice and receive what he has for me. ♥️
hi maya! Its usually common for kids to eat less at her age. They go from super rapid growth rate and when it begins to slow down they dont need as much food as they used to. She also is learning that she has the option to not eat it. They are learning that they have the decision now. The most important thing to remember is “if they are hungry they will eat”. So don’t worry too much about her not eating. It also helps to do some casual meals, by that I mean not in the high chair. Maybe just eating simple foods on the couch with dad or mom. Youre doing great momma and she will continue to thrive, Im sure of it! :) Sending love for 2024
Goals this year is to continue to grow in motherhood. Had my first baby October of 23. I'm also getting closer with God. Started my journey with a new illustration bible and take time every evening with my husband so we can continue our relationship with Christ. I'm also working on my physical and mental health especially after having babygirl. I am also working on having the official ceremony for my 1 year anniversary for my marriage this year. My wedding had to be moved due to me being pregnant and unable to fit my dress but my marriage is truly a blessing from as our family continues to grow. You are truly an inspiration as a God fearing Women and so proud of watching you blossom and a mother and wife.

As a mommy of 2 under 2 everything has been a little rough especially financially to say the least but my GOD... He gets me through it all! This year I'm pursuing being intentionally present with my family. With the hustle and bustle of life and the millions of distractions in the world, I'm learning how to be better than the type of mom I never had. Doing the work to heal from the past and pour into my children in the present by the grace and peace of God. May you and your family always be blessed ❤

My goal (while it sound simple , it is not), is to balance life and other obligations, bettering myself to let go of things I cannot control and allow God to take control while standing on his word and peomise and believe all.things are working for my good. I am sowing life into me a precious gift I desire by God's grace and mercy. Another is to allow myself the same grace I extend to others! And truly appreciate life. I know that in order to accomplish this goal I got to be intentional about my worship with God. You actually gave me a really good idea when in one of your videos you talked about you do breakfast with God how you go out and read your Bible. Walking into this new year I’m setting my mind up so that I can tackle every obstacle that tries to interfere with my relationship with God. Last year I really struggled with consistency and with trusting Gods plan. I got distracted a lot and I was fighting not to fall back into depression I’m a 21 year old wife and mom of a 2 year old baby girl and motherhood has been hard on me. I’ve been trying to be the best mom I can be to my daughter and the best wife I can be but it’s not easy. Something you have taught me is I have to trust Gods plan because I might be feeling down or feeling frustrated with everything going on but that feeling isn’t going to last forever there are greater blessings waiting for me on the other side of that hill. So this year I’m going to work on setting my mind up for success, becoming discipline and trusting in my lord and savior. 💗

My 2024 goal honestly Is to tackle motherhood and get back work now that my son is a bit older but want to give him the life I always craved as a child and to continue to get closer with God
As kids get older, they become picky. My kids went/still kinda still is going through it and my son is about to turn 8 and daughter is about to turn 5. My daughter survived on cereal and the doctor said as long as she’s getting SOMETHING in her is fine. You have to just pay attention to what she likes and possibly keep feeding it to her but trust me she’s fine. She’ll really eat if she’s starving. Also you may have to wait til she’s extra hungry 🥴
In the wake of losing my father, I want to find solace and purpose in dedicating my life to Jesus Christ again after a long time in darkness. I aim to guide my family towards God and financial freedom, and rescue my brother from the dark path threatening his life. This is my main goal this new year.

The goal I am trying to pursue is the calling God has on my life which is being a worship leader! I had a vision at church camp 7 years ago of me on stage froze while a huge crowd was in motion praising. After the vision my youth pastor came up to me saying God told him I had a vision. The most vital thing he did was put it in his notes on his phone before he came up to me to prove it was God so that the enemy could never take that vision away from me as a lie. I am getting a piano from a church that they don’t need so I can start practicing again. I have sung in the worship service just recently and got a connection who referred me to a ministry school. I have always loved singing and to know without a doubt that it’s my calling fills me with so much joy!
First off happyyy new years Maya ✨I’ve been watching you for 3 years now , I’ve seen the growth, how you grew into the lord and how much he blessed you and given you the gift of a family that you grew with love and everything you’ve always wanted for yourself, as a young woman myself I found myself adding your advice in my daily routine that has helped me a lot, one goal that I am trying to reach this year would be to lose weight I have struggled with pcos for 8 years now and now I’m finally ready to make a change within myself for myself, I tend tend to loose focus , and finding comfort within the lord is major for me this year.
Maya girl my son is the same way as Genesis when it comes to eating now. The doctor told us that it is normal for them to be picky during this stage of their development. She suggested that we continue to offer different options but make sure we are giving him foods he likes to ensure he's getting some type of nutrients. I know it's stressful but you are doing great, eventually they will go back to eating good (hopefully!)

Expressing your challenges in transition of becoming a mother and feeling like you had to fake it until you made it is a place Im in now! Not as a mother but as a proper steward in the blessings the Lord has given me. “ To whom much is given , much will be required “ . This season has so many new opportunities that I’m having to find new routines and work life balances in being a full time student and employee. God is truly challenging me to be still in Him in all I have learned in the previous season in my knowing of who He is.
There was so much hard work and effort put in to get to the place I’m at now, and part of my goal this year is being still in trusting God, in the areas where I once lacked. Though the enemy tries to remind me of my past , to look back, or even go back, in the midst of my transition, I now have to walk in confidence and full authority God has given me for the things he has equipped and prepared me for. Knowing that I can most certainly do all things through Christ who strengthens me. To truly trust can be more challenging than we know until we’re faced to do so. Im super grateful to be in this place because God truly is challenging me in the best way I needed , that I didn’t know.

My goal this year is to become the person God has called me to always be. I just turned 33 and for some reason, weeks leading up to my birthday( back in October,) I just had this overwhelming feeling that God was calling me to step out of the comfortable, and to take his hand to start my journey of fully embracing the person he has called me to be. Walking away from old habits that were not benefiting me or other’s, letting go of fear and doubt, and trusting him to begin a new work in me. So long story short, my goal is to utilize all of my gifts for his kingdom. I have already started to make some changes I have had access to, such as utilizing my gift of singing. There are other projects I have started to work on where the main goal is to uplift Jesus and his name. I want to be used by God, and in doing so, I want to bring glory to his name.

Milk is filling. If you are giving her milk before the meal, she might actually be full. You might try giving it to her after the meal. Or give her water with the meal and then schedule the milk at certain times during the day/evening to make sure she is getting her intake.You might also consider feeding her on a set schedule like they do in school. You might even want to ask them for their schedule and what she eats in school for breakfast, lunch and snack. Once they start school they get used to being on a schedule, like for naps etc.

A goal I am trying to pursue is to let go and let God. Usually I take things into my hands when things don’t go the way I want it to go. But I’m learning that God is always in control and I need to learn to put him first and do everything according to his glory
Happy Holidays Maya! When my nephew was a Genesis’ age my mom used to to tell my sister that his little taste palette is still developing. So you really have to just cater to what you know babygirl will for sure eat. My nephews go-to foods were the squeezable yogurts, Cheeto puffs, some fruits and lunchables. It seemed so unhealthy at the time but that was what my nephew as willing to eat at his age. As he got older his taste palette expanded. Now he’s a happy and healthy 7 year old who eats everything lol.

This year my biggest goal is to prioritize my physical and mental health. My body had gotten so messed up from being in flight or fight for YEARS. Heavy stress and just tryna get through to the other side! I got married last May, my husband is suuuuch a blessing and helping with this process but also getting so much closer to God!! Hi Maya 🤗 My goal this year is to speak life over myself & to watch my mouth. I often speak over my situations by expressing my frustration or sadness or anxiety out loud, as if I am defeated. I’ve learned that all it does is wear me down, spiritually. Instead, I need to speak LIFE over my circumstances, especially Gods promises. What we do for our almost 15 month old who is very much doing the same thing miss Genesis is doing (😂) is to just give her what she will eat in between meals. So she will always eat cheerios with milk, oatmeal, bananas, apple sauce, yogurt, puffs, baby food pouches and chicken sausage 😂😂😂😂 soooo she gets those things throughout the day and then when we sit for meals we just ensure she has all the same things on her plate that we have. Grazing/snacking between meals has been our saving grace, Maya! Hang in there xoxo ❤ happy new year to you and the fam!!

I can relate to you in soooo many ways, literally being married at 19, I currently have a 1 year old and another one on the way and wheeeew when you spoke about how uncomfortable and foreign it felt to not allow your feelings to dictate your future, I FELT HEAVILY!
So with that being said going into 2024 I will be starting school on top of raising my babies and my goal is to train my mind to have a positive perspective no matter how I might feel in the moment not only to break generational curses but to Glorify God through the storm! This video was honestly God sent bc my Pastor preached today about how going into new territory = new ways of living! And where God is taking you is not like what he brought you out of so your mindset has to be set for your new journey and trust he will take care of you through it 🙌🏾 so much confirmation for me today! Totally normal for toddlers to go through phases with eating, I have 2 toddlers and it’s comes and goes! if you get worried about it you can buy kids shakes that will feel in the gaps for her not eating. They are pretty much in every store right beside the baby formula!
What youre speaking on around minute 55 is you coming into your identity as a mother & that can be so challenging because it doesn't always look how we might have envisioned or how it looks for other mothers in our lives. I can SO relate! Currently 10 wks postpartum with baby #2.
The goal I’m pursuing is the continuation of my weight loss journey (already down 70lbs 😁) & my spiritual journey, getting closer with Jesus and making him the center of my life. My goal is to open my BIBLE first thing in the morning before I unlock my phone! Because everything I’ve accomplished I owe to Him! Also- starting the Daniels Fast next week & I’m super excited to push myself and use that as a time to cleanse my spirit. Hey Maya, I won't lie to you I have a couple of goals in mind this year. But, my three main goals are becoming fully dependent on God, working on my health (losing weight), and loving myself/putting myself first. I am 24 year old first grade teacher and I love my job to the fullest. But, this year I really want to work on putting myself first and going to God when I am happy, sad, lonely, and cheerful before going to others!

I have been married for 10 yrs with my hubby 20. we are both recovering addicts. both clean over 10 yrs. Next year is a new turn over for not just me, hibby and my boys. We both work really hard over 80 hrs every two weeks. But 2024 will be diffrent more time for the LORD... I want us to find a church we love and start going not only being a believer but a part taker in sunday worship. Im in college and really struggling and I had have s little girl and trying to go through motherhood and being a student is hard especially since I have no help but i want to give my to daughter and be more present. Thank you Maya for this message about being a mother. I have two children and the wave a being their mom hits different every time. My soon to be 14 year old pushes every button and my 16 month old feels like she runs the house! It is an everlasting journey, but I am blessed to be on it. My goal for 2024 is to stop letting fear hinder my “start”. I can have my mind set to start/pursue something and will never do it out of fear of failure. I heard a message earlier this week on a reel about God naming all of the people who would not make it in to heaven and a coward was one of them. I will no longer be a coward to anything! Nothing beats a fail but a try.

After becoming a new mom my goal is to get closer to God first and foremost. He has been so good to me, even on my bad days. If I can get up and clock in for an 8 hour shift I can get up Sunday morning and give God 2 hours. Furthermore another goal is to re-enroll in hygiene school & more self care. Love you guys!! My 18th mo daughter started to get super picky with foods. Until I cut out all added sugars and only focused on foods with minimal ingredients. It took a little bit of time but made a huge difference!
