The people who use that "camel through the eye of a needle" verse as a weapon to attack wealth are misusing it. The "camel through the eye of a needle" passage has absolutely nothing to do with some sort of inverse relation between having money and going to heaven. God gave incredible wealth to some people in the Bible as an act of favor. Would He do that if it would keep them from heaven? Of course not. There was an unscriptural assumption by people in those days who thought anyone who was wealthy had their ticket to heaven (just like the misunderstanding in the present day that "being good" is what gets you to heaven-- there is not one person good enough to EARN heaven). Jesus was dispelling that notion by telling the young man to do something He knew the guy wouldn't do--he went away saddened, as his wealth was more important to him than his salvation. Immediately after the "rich young ruler" went away unwilling to shed his wealth, the crowd who heard Jesus asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” He was saying God's grace alone, not riches or any earthly thing, saves. In Jesus's "Parable of the Talents" He praised the two men who had been entrusted with money and used it to produce more wealth (double in fact), and harshly condemned the man who started out with the least and produced nothing. Regarding the two who had invested wisely, He said about them "Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things." It is interesting that people almost always consider "wealthy" people to make more than they make. But almost all Americans are wealthy on the world scale: If you make more than $8,400/year you are MIDDLE CLASS globally in terms of purchasing power; if you make $17,000 a year (full-time at $8.50/hour) you are UPPER MIDDLE CLASS globally; if you make $43,000/year that is HIGH INCOME, globally. We've just gotten spoiled as a society and assume that houses that aren't made of tacked together rotten boards from the scrap pile, drinkable water and plentiful food, and jobs and cars, and televisions and $200 sneakers are the minimum living conditions we have an absolute right to expect, they don't think of having those things as being "rich". So probably should rethink your theology.
You either store up treasure on earth or in heaven. Period. I can't believe, yes I can. Some preachers I have followed who fed me spiritually don't have any thing for me anymore. KC ministry to me was very short. I was a hungry prodigal 16 years ago. I fell for almost anything. I prayed for discernment of spirits. KC was the first to go. Breaks my heart to know how much money Some preachers have stored up and closed their first and heart to those in need. I am not going to make excuses for them anymore. I thought some of them helped me but it was Jesus that helped me through them. All those rich preachers are going to be in that line of people who say "didn't we do this and do that" in your name and Jesus is going to say "away from me, I never knew you". I still believe that a unhappy Christian and a rich Christian are both oxymorons. Take up your cross and follow me. IF YOU WANT TO BE MY DISCIPLE! maybe some people take it to the extreme the other way like monks? You work or don't eat. God supplies all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. He blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. I am thru watching TV preachers. I have outgrown them. I don't want to discourage new believers. Just know that the Holy Spirit is your teacher and you have to listen to His prompting. You can get a good word from anywhere but you will need to filter out the trash. That was an instruction from Jesus, for one specific person who needed to do that at one specific moment, not an eternal truth. Be very careful about forming doctrine from something that only appears once in the Bible and contradicts what God says elsewhere in the Bible is His practice.

I say christians should be the wealthiest ppls on earth....without monies other ppls in nations wouldn't have free bibles,fed by the churches,etc....but Thanks be to God for the churches monies these churches that are in this video give to the world that are less fortunate than us and if ppls would do their homework on what good works they do, they would be less critical, judgmental against them....these ppls do care if you'd take the time to check it out
