Spoiler question for a certified doctor to answer: When did modern medical science determine that blood flows through the bone marrow? I realize one must suspend disbelief in weird fiction, yet... well, I am having difficulty getting past the proposed premise that bones aren't ever really alive. Up until that point, my disbelief was as suspended as the ancient's animation.
I believe a lot of the inaccuracies have to do with when the story was written, as well. It may have been before a time when, scientifically, we knew better.
I have to agree. And even if the story is from "before we knew better", I believe back then it was still known that bones grow, sicken and heal. Still, good atmosphere, solid premise (until the twist at the end) and masterfully narrated, as always.
Didn't the mummification specialists of that ancient time, remove all organs and even the brain before preservation? But the osteoporosis is also an interesting exit.🤓
Thanks, Ed. My heart stopped and I pooped my pants.
More like this please
Bravo, Mr F! Another chiller!
This was a graphic one, very macabre, but I enjoyed the story, thanks Mr French 🎊
Absolutely exceptional. Despite the title, I did not see that coming.
The campy intros are the best.
Thanks Mr French. 😊
Bravo!
Imagine if the poor mummy had sneezed! BOOM!! 💥😱
I’ve done all this type’a shit too.
Not ashamed of it.
That was a goodun
And this is why I signed up to be cremated. Thanks for a good story
He's dead Jim.
What was the saying... "I see what you did there." ? 😀
.... "... But Not As We Know It... Jim!…" .... Greetings from Saturn 🪐 4:38
I’m not a doctor, damnit Jim! Not a taphophpbic!

I hear you @artandcard. This fantasy is a moldy oldie. I appreciate its mood and atmosphere. Cheers. E.E.F.
