And there we are...a generation of mostly young boys who grew up with the C64 ...were 45 to 55 now.. and crying our eyes out over something so special...you had to be there... 8 year Olds at swap parties swapping floppies with 50 year Olds and it was normal.. this music... it is part of us forever. 8bit meets analog artists ..this is still the best thing ever.. love sent .!!!!
@@chiptuneremastered not exactly sure what you mean, but to me this performance shows that music is first of all an idea, a feeling, a language, and it can be played on various instruments and the SID is an instrument on itself
I broke down and cried when you started playing the last nina 1 loading music in memory of Ben Danglish. And then you followed up with the wilderness, just like on the tape of the game. LN2 Centennial park sealed the deal. You guys are good!!! :)
the music made the game......wouldnt have been anywhere as near as enjoyable without it.....i remember sitting and enjoying the load tunes as much as playing the game......made the c64 load times more than bearable they were actually an enjoyable part of the game.....RIP and thanks for the tunes
I would like to thank you Fastloaders for a dream come true. Listening at this music when I played the games I've always realised their big potential and always wanted to hear it played as it is: wonderful music composed by excellent musicians and composers. I tried myself to make a band to play this stuff but never got into it. I'm glad Fastloaders succeeded where I failed.
@Xpyriant Totally agree, Ben'd have been touched, blessed, RIP old man of C64, Amiga and many others. Thanks to Fastloaders and everyone who made this concert possible, this recording posted...Long live C64 and SID chip music, great times!
Those were the days, where simply listening to the musical score was even more enjoyable than playing the actual game. Great selection! Greetings from Mexico :)
Absolutely mint performance...Great seeing Ouwn an Chris appear...An an extra big hand for that talented flutist on the Ben D tribute...Very nice indeed....
Week done guys! I wish I had'd been there! I'm 46, and I cut my teeth on the amazing C64! You guys made my night, thank you so much! And of course RIP Benn Daglish, he was one of the greatest composers and musicians of all time, and he was a lovely guy.😁👍
I never met him in person, but it's as if I knew him and I suffer his loss as if he were a childhood friend .. Ben Daglish is a myth to me thanks to some melodies for C64, incredible ..
I will always remember when I was a kid and I was always known by my friends as the guy that went through LN2 with only one life. Hey Jonas is coming.. -Jonas who? - The guy that clear LN2 with only one life.. - Ah him... :) I was like 12 or something...
Lost for words..great great performance..i choked like he choked when announcing Ben's death news..felt the sorrow within the band and the spectators..as grown up childrens we are, remembering the past like this cannot be explained with words..beautiful man.. just beautiful.
Even better than the original thing. I can hardly listen to Barbarian without crying. Joseph Richard was an unbeliveable artist. Thank you guys, for existing! (BTW: Who TF can downwote this?!)
Thanks for timeley upload, very much appreciated :) It's a real tribute to Ben who recently passed away and rip. I had to cry :( Please listen to this great performance and to old performances like in "SID'80s - Back in Time Live London - Deflektor"
Epic performance! I would have been there had I known about the event four years ago. Great tribute to the composers who produced the original 8-bit SID tracks. Some of them passed. I am sure they would have loved your performance which is kind of heavy metal, but oh so accurate to the original C=64 tracks. I stumbled on this RUclips publication just this evening and my mind was blown away. Your performace should go down in history...
perfect, love it. awesome song selection! very great tunes. And the guests are legendary...especially the Last Ninja 3 tunes! wow. The Keys arrangement are very tasteful and fat.The drums are great in mix, nice clear tight snare and bass drum. The additional rhythm guitars layers bringing a thick and perfect atmosphere. Sure one of my favorite Concerts ever on YT. Best Regards from Germany. Rock on and remember the good old times.
WOW the Wasteland theme 😳😳😳😳 Imagine this would have been on your C64 in the game back in the day 😎🤙🍀 I mean the game alone already rocked your world, but with this music

Let's all appreciate how fucking precise this drummer is. Thumbs up! :)
He is indeed! And such well balanced dynamics, its just a pure pleasure to dial in the sound on him.
C'mon RUclips what is wrong with you? I watch all kinds of C64 videos, music, demos and so on and you recommend this video 2 years after release?
Never has a concert/video made so many grown men cry. And I'm one of them 😂😂😭 this is phenomenal! Absolutely lost for words, thank you! 👌🏻🤟🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Even the camera has hard time to focus. (Me too.)
You guys are just unbelievable, I play this concert as a background music daily! Oh, the sweet childhood memories....
If you omit the fact that it was originally c64 music, they band made it appear like progressive rock music. Amazing !
I wish I was there !
It's a shame that it "being originally C64 music" seems to put people off. But then, people have always been closed minded about that.
Crossing fingers for 2021!
More like progressive METAL
