- The Grade 1 Sorcerer is considered the backbone of jujutsu society, and in this video I will be scaling and ranking EVERY character relevant within this rank. Official grade 1 sorcerers, semi grade 1's, and even those recently recommended to hold that will be ordered from weakest to the strongest!

Maki can hardly be considered anything less than Special Grade at this point. She took down nearly double digit grade 1 sorcerers simultaneously, while injured, and after having fought dozens of lower grade sorcerers and curses. She later goes on to heal from nearly fatal internal bleeding in less than 5 minutes. That's even before she fully awakened. She's solidly Special Grade at this point, while still not Gojo level.

the difference between the strongest 1st grade and weakest special grade is prob more than the difference between a grade 4 and grade 1 sorcerer, we're talking about the likes of gojo yuta and kenjaku here and if we're to say maki => toji then she is barely stronger than a teenage gojo which didn't even have his special grade title yet.

Not counting big 3 clan for Gojo and in unknown time period where Hakari and Todo potentially aren't around yet so in terms of accuracy this list and this statement line up pretty nicely overall.
Kusakabe without this statement is outranked here by:
Mechamaru's true form that isn't known by anyone.
Yuji who just joined the organisation.
Megumi and Maki who only got to this level now.
Zenins are part of big 3 clan.
And Todo who as i explained was probably not even there yet.

Exceptions being for yuji and maki. Who weren’t counted in that statement since they aren’t official grade 1 sorcerers. Maki is special grade tier. And yuji may be stronger because if his soul seizing punches.

I just said this video and this latest statement line up pretty nicely because of logical reasons this statement even exists at all.
And Maki isn't special grade or at least i don't see her taking on a country by herself with example Kenjaku gave us about what makes one a special grade sorcerer. Gojo has limitless, Yuki with her black hole, Yuta with Rika cursed spirit and Kenjaku already showcased this potential to take on a country with Geto's ability. Maki has nothing aside from speed.
I'm stoked for chapter 254, no idea what's gonna happen. Him dying fast is a very real possibility tho!
Kusakabe is a weird character to rank because his hacks make him invulnerable to many of the most powerful attacks, but he still loses to physically superior opponents. Like, I'm sure he'd lose to Todo, Naobito/Naoya and maybe even Nanami. But none of them can eat an Uzumaki.
Megumi is such a weird character for this list because his position really fits but if you account for suicide as part of his ranking he could be top of this list easily by summoning Maho.
That would make him special grade, not grade 1

She literally was told yo don't go back into the barrier but does because she wanted to help yuji and fugoshiro. She even manages to damage mahito and mahito literally says he she is a natural counter to him and is a very dangerous sorcerer. Not to mention nobora might come back later in the manga. Nobora is automatically better than Sakura because she's actually able to freaking damage her opponents and not constantly need to be saved. She only go saved once or twice and has some pretty good feats. Sakura doesn't have shit. She's trash. Also the blonde guy kind of jumped her and in her defence she had to protect a non sorcerer and the blonde dude had a broken ability to avoid death with miracles.

Im so glad that Kusakabe stocks are up. His defensive showings and general stat buff is insane.
He worries about dying so much, yet tanked a Maximum Uzamaki without a scratch, and only got minor injuries after the Maximum meteor was dropped. I honestly think he could have dealt with Hanami or Dagon mid-diff, as his durability scaling is just that ridiculous, with an anti-domain technique as a bonus. Add the fact that his speed and reaction time would allow him to draw his katana before they could even react, due to his Batto Sword Drawing and the fact that he has enough speed to get away from a maximum meteor less than a second before it hits the ground. It really just comes down to how much damage he could dish out.

Inumaki’s kinda getting the Jogo treatment, his 3 fights are against one of the four special grade sorcerers of his era, a special grade curse that was only taken out by Gojo, and a semi first grade curse that attacked when he was most vulnerable and still a first year in training

@@marsmarkNaoya is insanely powerful and well recognized as a capable sorcerer. The reason he isn't considered as fast as Naobito is because Naoya isn't quite as calculating as his pops. In terms of pure ability they are the same.

I always felt like Kusakabe is a insanely skilled sorcerer that is just held back by his inner potential and obviously his attitude.
I feel like bro has mastered jujutsu as a power system to its max and knows and can executr everything he can know and do, and now has hit his limit that he simply can't surpass due to lack of potential.

So to underline and add to the Kusakabe's ranking, since I completely agree. Mei Mei is shown to have INCREDIBLE analytical skills. Be it (as canon as it is, I would say it is but others might argue it's not) her figuring out the curses domain early in season 2, her understanding of the Small Pox Deity and more, her comparing Yuji to Kusakabe almost feels like an objective narrator. Like I would say Kusakabe probably is around Yuji's level when he fought Choso which, is pretty damn strong for a Grade 1 if you ask me.

Nobara just needs 3 nails to cook panda and one strawdoll for mechamaru, if that doesn't work a couple harpins would do the trick
I'm not saying panda is bad on one on one or that mechamaru doesn't have the technique but they have very exploitable weaknesses
She did one thing they didn't though: decisively and clearly beat a special curse (Eso & Kechizu). Even though it was in a 2v2 with Yuji.

Nobara's a mid to long range attacker with weak close range, her damage output is incredible only if the conditions for Resonance is met. She basically has conditional hax (like Inumaki, except his are just better) while all her comrades significantly outstat her in every category.
In a fight with anyone physically competent like Panda or Mechamaru, she'd get kicked around long before she's able to tag literally anyone with enough fatality to activate Resonance or Hairpin. Base Panda literally spent her entire training arc throwing her around. She got bodied by goddamn Haruta, a guy so featless that beating her is his best feat.
Not saying Nobara is complete ass, but she's closer to Utahime, where a 1 v 1 is her worst nightmare. She shouldn't be classed above stronger single threats just because she participated in a fight that she couldn't come close to winning alone. She's an amazing support since she gets time to set up.
Clone Mahito is basically just Mahito with basically none of his deadly kit, and I have no idea where to put him cause his performance doesn't scale to anyone but her.
If you gave each sorcerer the power to rival Gojo effectively replacing Gojo in JJK, how do you think each sorcerer would use that power? To put it simply, if you gave each sorcerer the same level of power as Gojo while keeping how they are as a character in JJK the same, do you think they’ll do a better job than Gojo at keeping the peace or would they just bring ruin? We all know what’s Geto doing. What’s Mei Mei, Kusekabe, Nanami, Todo, Naobito, Naoya, Mai, Momo, etc doing?

Something I am glad to see is that you didn't include Hakari at all. A lot of people try to argue that he isn't Special Grade, but that's only because he was expelled. He is quite clearly far above the Grade One rank, due to his CT and the fact that he was directly compared to Yuta of all people.
He is grade 1. There's only 4 special grade. You'll gotta stop making ur own headcanon.
@@nasteay7497 he's not a grade 1 either, he was expelled from jujutsu society and so does not have an official ranking. Remember that the "4 special grades" ranking is a subjective ranking according to the jujutsu higher ups and who they deem as qualified, hence why Kenjaku is not listed as a special grade because they don't know about his existence. So it's very possible that Hakari is on the level of a low special grade, but hasn't been acknowledged by the rankers due to their biases.

Man, I forgot that Nobara hit a black flash early on in the story. That + her OP cursed technique (techniques that work on the soul are generally really strong in the series), makes me realize she was really a genius
Kusakabe simple domain is very useful as he is able to survive attacks that prolly would kill the other grade 1, but I doubt that he has the attacking power of Mei Mei or even Nanami. I agree with you placing him higher tho, he does seem to have more utility in combat, and you can't really use your attacks if you dead.
He's the Dagon of Grade 1s. He's a proper tank
Mei mei compared him to Shibuya yuji. I think that makes him potent enough when it comes to attacking power, and can see him besting both nanami and mei mei in close combat
Honestly that's debatable. We know the way simple domain works would amp his normal attacks as well as include a guaranteed hit. That would put him at least on the same level as Nanami offensively in my opinion

And in base alone he fought higurama with no curse energy holding back which implies his base should be around first grade.Then he got another physical amp in base when sukuna left his body and kept up with maki at that point .Then in the timeskip he kept with yuta in his domain,physically amped by curse at fp and by the domain. Sukuna even bring up his reinforcement being highly improved so he physically above special grade .Then he also use Rct ,blood manipulation,soul hax ...if this isn't special grade then I don't know what it is my guy

After the last chapter, Kusakabe deserves an even higher spot on this list. Like, potentially even above Naoya (although that may admittedly be jumping the gun). To defend against Sukuna's slashes in any capacity is absurd.

Considering Kusakabe's feats I'd actually argue for him to be higher lol. His most recent chapter 246 feat is something Shibuya Yuji or Megumi isn't pulling off.

With the new chapter release, Yuji must be the number one now, considering his RCT, Simple Domain, Blood Manipulation and The Shrine.
It's funny, you thought kusikabe was a controversial pick when you made this list. But as of chapter 253, it's stated by Gojo, MeiMei, and nanami, he is the strongest grade 1 around. AND, depending on how 254 goes, this shit might be hype!
I have a video idea, I think. What if you give the Six Eyes to every sorcerer? How much improvement or how different applications weaker techniqhes like Mai's or Momo's could be? And technique like Ten Shadows or Blood Manipulation could easily make a sorcerer special grade if they have the Six Eyes.

mai's ct is broken, she basically can construct anything she wants if she has the 6 eyes since she instantly becomes the most efficient curse energy user in the world. And I don't think any upgrade on blood manipulation would make a user of that ct become special grade tbh, it's not a broken enough ability to be one
@@farsous10 there is a way for the six eyes to benefit a blood manipulation user. Choso in his fight with Yuji mentioned that using red scale to harden his body for too long can damage it. If a blood manipulation user has the six eyes they can keep it up or turn it on automatically upon impact without fearing internal damage. It’d be similar to passive infinity in practice, but it can also boost every stats the user has permanently at the same time

Nanami is the baseline for every sorcerer that isn’t special grade level. Mei Mei is definitely above Nanami given that she’s above him in physicality (without ratio), Nanami’s best feat is hitting 4 black flashes in one night, but Mei Mei having pretty much infinite crows and Ui; she’s absolutely negging our boy. Kusakabe also has insane scaling because he escaped Maximum Meteor before it even impacted so his speed is definitely god tier for G1.

If nanami hits any of those crows with his technique, it's gone. And for your info, black bird manipulation takes a lot of concentration which limits the number of crows she can control at a time. Gojo himself stated that he views Nanami as someone who would survive just about any situation and Nanami showed us exactly why Gojo has this perception of him by surviving a domains sure hit effect for sometime, tanking jogo's flames and still taking out some grade two and three transfigured humans before mahito finally took him out. All he has to do is obliterate any crows that are in the area, and take advantage of the lack of concentration to close the distance and we all know who would win in close quarters combat
As a Nanami fan, i think it stands to perfect reason that Mei Mei outranks Nanami. Nanami's technique just seems like its a technique that has a low skill floor but also low skill ceiling. Compared to Mei Mei which has a lower skill floor but also a much higher ceiling of expression.
Mei Mei's technique is doing nothing against any character higher than the smallpox curse. Even in the most recent chapters, she threw multiple crows which missed, and said ofc it wouldn't faze the monsters of jujutsu. They're trying to imply that maybe she'll hit it soon but I cannot see her doing any damage to the villain at that point.

Man I wish people would stop downplaying Nobara for her fight with haruta. People forget that in reality its just super unfortunate to be against haruta when he has miracles stored up and his inherent luckyness overall. Of course you can just entirely overpower that as seen immediately after with nanami but nobara is not nanami. Like you seriously cant tell me that clone mahito is an easier fight than haruta when you see their respective fights against nobara. Sure mahiclone cant use transfiguration on others but just himself is versatile and deadly enough as it is in a fight to be way more dangerous than some normal dude with a walking sword and is pretty lucky.
Really solid list, personally I hold Inumaki a little higher due to having the trump card of glass cannoning a suicide pact 'die' command. We know mei mei's bird's death pact can damage gojo so it is reasonable to assume Inumaki could match. Considering your list doesn't account for Mahoraga (same outcome, dead user), it makes sense how he is positioned. It is pretty fascinating seeing how interacting with mahito in particular affects this list. Amazing vid!

Mechamaru should be smart enough to avoid Cursed Speech. If anything it may be easier for him since I don't think Cursed Speech works on non-living things.

a 1v1 with inumaki would mean inumaki would always lose since curse speech is useless if you see it coming and can defend yourself with ce. Only way for inumaki to win in that case is if his opponent is severely weaker than him in hand 2 hand since that's inumaki's only option at that point if he cant use his ct
One thing about megumi though. In a scene Gojo said that someone from the gojo clan once possesed the same powers as he did(infinity etc.) and he said that the same person fought someone from the zenin clan who had the same shikigami technique and both end up fighting however the one from the zenin clan won. Gojo was alluding to the fact that Megumi has the potential to beat Gojo himself. This theory can be proven more with the presence of mahoraga as one of the shikigami he possesses.
what gojo also fails to mention is that the previous user of the six eyes and limitless is severely weaker than current gojo, so full potential megumi is still inferior to gojo

I'd say that Maki would be closer to a special grade ranking than anything else. Yes, you can take Kenjaku's words into account, but then it still doesn't make sense why Yuta would still be considered a special grade since he can only use Rika for five minutes, and that is obviously not enough time to defeat a country. I think Maki, who technically wouldn't be considered a sorcerer, being on par with Toji who beat Gojo and Geto, who were both considered special grades even in high school, is more than enough reason to place Maki in the special grade tier with Hakari as well(Hakari is potentially stronger than Yuta. Although his jackpot doesn't last quite as long as Yuta's connection to Rika, the fact he can get multiple jack pots in a row, and the fact he is more physically powerful than Yuta by himself is actually a good argument for why he would be stronger than Yuta). Yuta without his connection to Rika still has a massive pool of cursed energy, but thats been shown to be easily depleted if he is forced to use RCT too many times.
I think using Gojo's classification that special grades are just "special" speaks better than Kenjaku's country classification, since someone like Yuta doesn't make sense to have that classification currently.
Yutas CT allows him to store a multitude of CT along with rikas blast. Along with his massive amount of CE available for reinforcement, he is easily defeating a nation. Cursed speech, uros technique and much more
Gojo and geto become special grade after gojo defeats toji it is stated that geto was grade 1 when toji defeated him as for gojo I think it wasn't specifically stated which rank he was but as geto was relative to him and he became a special grade after toji was defeated I think they both became special grade after that as for yuta he still has a lot of cursed energy even before using rika it was mentioned that dhruv defeated a big army or something and yuta defeated him pretty easily before fighting everyone in sendai so him with rika and his copy cursed technique is easily a special grade even with partially manifested rika

Its unknown whether Gojo was considered special grade at that time. Its not unlikely he could have been since he was still regarded as the strongest sorcerer by Toji. Its unclear when they received their promotions.
But for Toji, the fact is he wouldn't be ranked as a sorcerer. If he would be ranked it would be a cursed user, of which I think it would still probably be special grade.
Like, I'll put it this way. maki and Toji are characters who with their physical abilities alone could easily annihilate the zenin clan, one of the three major families, with little difficulty. The zenin clan is made up of many grade 1 and semi grade 1 sorcerers. In fact, its the clan in the series which lays claim to having the most semi grade 1 or grade 1 caliber fighters in the series.
I think that more than qualifies someone like Maki for being considered special grade level.
For me, Dhruv isn't a great example. Yes, he did conquer a country 2000 years ago, but I think special grade rank mainly is meant to apply to a modern conventional country. And even in that department, unless you seriously expand the definition of special grade, I don't think that Yuta qualifies for taking out a whole country with Rika who can only be used fully for 5 minutes at a time.

Naobito did solo Dagon before Dagon unleashed his domain expansion. Just looking at the manga, Naobito broke through Dagon's water shield all by himself. That said Naoya SHOULD be higher than Naobito because of his domain expansion alone. His domain literally can, in theory, one shot everyone stuck inside of it because no one can manipulate their atoms at 24 fps.
If i recall. He only got domain expansion in cursed spirit form. So this list wouldn’t be taken that into account

I feel like you're relying too much on things "showed" instead of told in the plot, does that makes sense? Yaga, for example, was positioned too low. We never see him fight at 100%, and the fact that he only made Panda and not a full army of sentient dolls were his own choice. It might be kinda tough and inconsistent to measure, though.

Yaga's only nerf is himself. There is absolutely nothing stopping Yaga from sitting back and spending all of his time making an effectively infinite number of pandas besides himself. He made Panda and had a moral reason for not making more but if we're strictly talking power idk how anybody on this list beats say 10 pandas at the same time
