Made this last night with some pork stir fry. I didn’t have sake but I added more rice vine vinegar and touch of soy sauce as substitutes for dash powder. Omgawd it was soooo good. My son and partner enjoyed it so much. Thank you!
I grew it 1st time in my garden this year and my fam is being picky so I need to not mess this up lol😅
Made this, loved it, thank you!
Nice track 👌
The garnish is worth it! Nice share!
I made this today. It turned out really delicious! My friend who doesn’t normally eat eggplant also likes it! Thank you for the recipe
Thank you. I'm glad you loved it. Enjoy it as many times as you want please 🙏
Recette parfaite, et vraiment délicieuse !! Les proportions étaient parfaites, et toute ma famille a adoré ! Et la vidéo est très agréable à regarder en plus, c'est super bien filmé :) Merci !!

My pleasure 😊
Tried it out just now. Tasty
Great recipe ❤
This video was so beautifully put together! Can't wait to see more
Thank you for the kind words
Never had eggplant before. Tried this today and I believe I am a fan now. Thank you for the recipe!
Thank you. I am glad you loved it. Enjoy this recipe from now on ☺️
Thank you for this recipe!
I just made this and it is highly addictive. Even my boyfriend, who usually doesn't like aubergines, loved it! However, I highly recommend using butter instead of canola oil!
Thank you. I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. As I always say as a French guy " Everything is better with butter" so I'm sure you are right. I'll give it a chance next time 😉
Wow, this created the tastiest eggplant that I've ever had. You don't point which miso you used, I did it with red miso (yours looks red too, but I'm no miso pro). Excellent! Thank you.
Thank you so much for the kind message. Actually it was yellow Miso paste. Thank you pointing that I didn't realized I didn't mentioned it. I'm glad you enjoy the meal 🙏
i am so happy i found it!
Thank you 🙏
I had this similar dish at Yellowtail restaurant at Bellagio in Las Vegas. This recipe….is pretty much the same ingredients used. Can’t wait to make this soon!!
Excellent recipe !!! I couldn’t find dashi powder so I used a bit of veg stock cube.
I can't wait to make this 😍 Love the music too
Thank you I hope you'll enjoy it 👍
ah... Looks so good!!!
Thank you so much. I appreciate 🙏
SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! Super simple, UTTERLY DELISH!
Love the way you cook and present it 👏👏 pls share more 🙌🙌
Recipe and the video quality was on point. One thing to note though: Dashi powder contains fish. Swap that out for kombu dashi powder for a real vegan recipe.
That being said i'm surprised you don't have more subscribers. Great content.
Thank you I appreciate the kind comment and the idea 👍
Bonjour, cette recette a l'air excellente! J'imagine que ça peut aussi marcher avec des courgettes, non ?
J'ai jamais essayé mais j'imagine que oui. Bonne idée 👍
Lovely video! Makes me want to eat my laptop screen :D
Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate 🙏
How long for baking time? And how much for temperature? 😅 It looks so good.
감사해요
Attention: Not all dashi powders are vegan, the stronger ones are generally made with bonito flakes, dried sardines and such.
Hi there where did u buy that miso brand from ?
Thankyou
Tried it today. Absolutely heavenly. ❤️😊 Thanks for the recipe. Cheers.
おいしそうな茄子田楽です😊
Love the way you explain every step!! I'll try it very soon. What protein would go well with it though? Fish, beef, or no protein needed at all?
You could anything you want with it. But usually when we make it at home this would be instead of a meat dish. But it would go well with some meat as well. If I can suggest you I would say, fish with rice and the eggplant would be perfect together. Enjoy 🙏
Omg can’t wait to wait to make it! How well will this transport? Can I do the pan frying ahead of time and bring it to holiday dinner and finish with glaze & bake? Or better to do it all and reheat? TIA!
I tried this, it tastes salty
How do you get the ingredients and proportions?
What can I use instead of sake? Loved the recipe🥰
Thanks. You could use some white wine instead if you don't have sake
Can i ask why you submerge the aurbergine in water?
To remove the bitterness
Why do you cut the vegetable and then soak in water?
Does it change anything?
It helps prevent the cut eggplant whites from darkening (oxidizing)
Maybe you could write the name of the ingredients on the screen while you’re using it ?
Thank you. If you turn on the subtitles. Actually you can see the list of ingredients and the explanations. Let me know if you can see it. Thanks
What is miso?I don't think we have that here
mais ça sert a quoi de plonger les aubergines ds l eau au départ?
C'est pour enlever l'amertume
ummm What is the alternative
mirin ?
I want a plant alternative
Can't we omit the frying step and just bake them in the oven and then put the glaze after it gets brown? I'd hate to use all that oil.
You can for sure. It won't be exactly the same as it might be a lite dryer. But I'm sure it would still be delicious. Just make sure to drizzle them with some oil before baking at least 👍
