It was the time in milliseconds guys, so the lower the better. As shown by Chris’ first faster punch being a lower number. Maggie at 224 was very slow taking a long time to elbow lockout/retraction.
That first punch was ridiculously fast.
It times your punch, doesn't measure the speed. His first one was the fastest and hers was soo slow
SAS are not superhumans instead they are incredibly well trained.

MakerInMotion yeah rite, i think it was so fast that the accelerometers in the phone just didn't start until it end movement momentum, besides it's the aceleratio with makes it so impressive...

my m8s day was in the SAS, found a box hidden in his storeroom with picture of them infront of some plane with SAS and uniforms etc, no names obviously... but was like wtf thats you're dad..

It was a fun for a bit of comic relief but there was no comparison between the two punchers. The girl was Sloooow! Just a rubbish app that doesn't work properly. Still fun though.

there are actually 2, the other one was the fijian called "tak" (can't remember his full name), he was shot 5 times through the course of mirbat, and further served in the SAS in the iranian embassy seige

It's because he took a split second to "aim" the punch. As you would in real life. I actually pressed this for a laugh but that was quite a beastly fist! I wouldn't fancy it lol

@bebill2 Yeah man he is right. Once you move that fist back or foward the clock starts ticking. As when you pump or telegraph your punches it becomes so much slower, so that the opponent can react and defend.
I imagine the app has a very specific model of the trajectory of a punch - Chris's was extremely short and snapping; maybe it works better with full extension.

I only came here to make there were gamer nerds arguing about special forces so I can sleep knowing the universe is in order.
Read the book, and seen a movie about it. 300 miles by Chris done in the scorching hot desert, watching for enemy, starving, dehydrated, is a lot to take in aswell. I think it's best say that they are all equally tough.

@FoxyBomb It's also to do with how much weight is behind the punch, for example to put it in simple terms something weighing 1 pound moving at 50 mph would do less damge than something that weighed 10 pounds movong at 45 mph, if you get my drift haha.
at the first punch the app was calculating......"wtf??? no human moves at that speed.....overload...crash.."
@bebill2 For sure the jab helps keep your opponent at a distance. Most jabs that have no telegraph (tel) take about 150 to 200 milliseconds, but most people pump their jabs, meaning they move their fist back first giving a tel then punch forward, which makes their total jab over 300 ms. Anyway, as this video shows, punch speed is so misunderstood.
I think Chris's Punching Technique would lead to a lot of Pain&damage somehow..

I have those apps, but I don't like to use them as I'm scared the phone will slip out of my hand and smash up against the wall or something!
There is a book I read about the Andy Mcnab and Chris Ryan books and there is a lot of evidence to support that some events didnt happen as those two say and they also blamed one of the dead members of the patrol for them being spotted and thus having to leave their OP. Dont get me wrong I respect the armed forces ALOT I hope to be a royal marine commando in a few years.
actually only ryan blamed one of the patrol for getting spotted but mcnab seemed to get all of the blame for this.

It's opposite of what you think. The higher the number, the slower the punch.

Its fake, its the harder you flick your wrist the higher the number, thats why the girls 'KO punch' was that high look at the way she does it.
they dont understand, its measuring your . of a second from when you first threw the punch... the lower the number the better.
