What Hamas is doing by making the Al-Yassin for the RPG-7 is a rough copy of the (Soviet) PG-7VR tandem charge HEAT rocket designed to penetrate thick armour, reactive armour and walls. Hamas appears to be simply attaching a charged nose to the standard PG-7VL rocket to create a tandem-charged rocket, but maybe someone who knows better could clarify.

They have been resisting for a long time just like the Algerians and South Africans against colonisers. Hamas is a very recent thing that got power in 2005, the Palestinian authority which actually represents Palestinians has made a deal with Israel and has been in a gruelling process and negotiations to create a Palestinian state, but the Israelis have prevented any Palestinian state for forming for 30 years since the Oslo accord where the Palestinians made peace with the Israelis. So don’t talk about strategy and diplomacy, it has failed because Israeli leaders and especially Netanyahu have no intention of giving the Palestinians a state and returning the West Bank and East Jerusalem as Agreed.
The reason Palestine hasn’t gained independence is due to western hypocritical support to the Israeli regime unlike their opposition to the South African Apartheid regime. This is because the apartheid regime was a lot more obvious with their racism and segregation which made them indéfendable even to the western countries. Israel on the other hand despite being on a similar trajectory to South Africa changed their image by tricking the Palestinians into a peace deal in Oslo which legitimised their colonialism. After Oslo, people could fully back israel because the logic goes, “why would we boycott a state that even the Palestinians made a deal with”.
