So haunting and heartbreaking to see Elvis like this. He was hurting deeply on the inside and had no true friends. He missed his mother, ate comfort food, substance abuse. The only time he was happy was when he was sharing his music with his fans. After his shows in Vegas he would sit at the bar and talk to his fans for hours. He was always known to be very friendly and even generous and charitable. He loved us and it was the only time he felt love after his mom died. Elvis was a strong, resilient individual. Even here he looks back at his bandmates with a grin as he's pleased with the music. He was truly in his element here and loving to preform. His best performance! I wish someone could have saved Elvis.

Elvis was engaged to a nice lady and had a lot of love in him.He said he got everything he ever wanted so I don't see him as that sad.a lot of us gained weight after 40..it's e erodes negative attitude about it that is bad. As for drugs..like a ,ot of people back then he thought if a doctor gave it to you or a druggist..it was fine.he was under a doctor's care so he probably thought it was fine. God bless him..truly miss this great wonderful person

I agree it's tough to watch but in an emotional way, I cry everything I see his performance here, there are tears rolling down my face 😢
Also because, my god what a performance 👏 👏👏👏👏
We know clearly he isn't well bless him and to be on stage and to give all he had to give and this performance shows he gave his all !!
Also for me he did it brilliant, outstanding and more so because his breathing wasn't the best but he knew how to get the best out of his voice and he did it with unchained melody, one of the best Elvis live songs.
Elvis, I love you, your music soothes my soul and also it rocks my soul, your gospel songs give me faith even though I don't listen to anyones gospel apart from Elvis ones, what you put into them is very spiritual and I'm a spiritual person x
The legacy continues to grow every year and I think you will be astounded if ya looking down.
This new biopic film about you and the colonel, well let's say the trailer has got millions of fans and maybe not fans talking.

His best performance ever probably. He had better days, was more healthy, etc., but here his emotion, his life, his condition, his experience - all combined for something special. It's like he had something to prove here, this wasn't just him trying to deliver a good show, this was him showing he still has the goods and he's till the effin' King even when he was completely deteriorating otherwise and it's this deterioration that made his emotion here that much stronger.
And major kudos to Baz Luhrmann who rightfully saw the power in this performance and closed his movie with it.
