    I'm a guitarist who's really attracted to the creative harmonies and chords that Robert Glasper utilizes. I greatly appreciate your explanations. Ashè

    I loved the color coded keyboard you used in the intro. I wish you had it on for the rest of the lesson.

    The chord you play at 1:07 looks more like a Dsus11/A than a Dmin11? There's no third and the A is in the bass?

    I'm not really getting what he does with the solo part. What does it mean to "approach" gm11

      Think of it as a passing chord but using melodic lines instead of a chord. You can reach out to us at elijah@musicgreatness.com if you have more questions!

    Great vid, thanks! What scale would you use to improvise over the chords? Would it be the F mixolydian?

    • @musicgreatness9987
      @musicgreatness9987  3 года назад +2

      Hey! The pentatonic would fit nicely in this chord progression but I’d use F Lydian as well over the Am to make it stand out even more

    Why is it Fsus2 and not Fadd6?

    • @musicgreatness9987
      @musicgreatness9987  3 года назад +1

      Hi Tim! because the notes are (from bottom to top): A (the third of the chord), G (the sus2, can be also seen as a 9), C (the 5th) and F (the tonic). In order for it to be add6, there should be a D (6th from F) instead of a G.
      Thanks for watching!
