Finally!!!! Someone agrees with me about Delina…so so generic. Same with the exclusif one as well. Thank you for acknowledging this. It drives me nuts that everyone goes crazy for Delina
Every time when someone is mentioning Delina I hear it as someone is cursing. I also think, why bothering mentioning it? They are not original anymore, since years
--- right?!?!? I've smelled it once or twice and I didn't even want to trying on my skin. I thought it was my unrefined nose, but to me it smells like an expensive fruity/floral body spray.
Finally like minded folks! Now Cassili and Safanad from the same house I do love and own. I also love the mens versions better. They clearly are still designer ish with their separating the genders vs unisex. Perfume is unisex!
Love the honesty Sam and this is what makes you one of my few trusted reviewers. It’s just sad that you need to explain yourself before you talk about the things you don’t like but i totally get why you do. The smells that we love are all influenced by billions of experiences we’ve had throughout our lives, all of which are different - we all need to remember that. Thanks for another great video ☺️

If I'm being honest, Delina was the perfume that made me stop blind buying altogether.
Love your channel and I just discovered you! What a refreshing take! I fully agree on Delina and I could not make myself like it, even slightly. I thought I hadn't evolved enough in my fragrance journey to appreciate it but that's just not the case. On the other hand, YES to Prada Amber. I have adored it for years and still do. It's so good and consistently is one I want in my collection.
Just received a nice sized decant of fille en aguilles in the mail today. It’s wonderful. I’ve been wanting to smell it for a while. Don’t worry. You won’t smell me over here in rural Canada. I was also in a mall today (which never happens) and picked up Lush’s new Tumeric Latte and I’m not mad at it!! Milky goodness. It’s been a wonderful scent day
I thank you for being so clear and honest when giving your personal point of view, a very sincere reality because there are too many perfumes that do not deserve so much publicity or the hype they are given to those perfumes
I’m new to the fragrance obsession world and hands down your channel is my favourite one! Thank you for your work. I love your straight forward, down to earth (yet elegant) approach! 🙏🏽✨
Sam you look so stunning!! I love this video, not at all surprised by the perfumes you dislike 😅Thank you for tagging me I'll certainly be putting out the video sometime this week and I will also check out Scented Moments ❤
Love your Channel! I always appreciate your honesty on the quality of a fragrance or house. Great Loves list! I LOVED your video with the flying torso guessing expensive & inexpensive fragrances I'd love to see more content like that! Would love to see a video where you create a list of high-end smelling inexpensive fragrance list that ACTUALLY smell expensive and lux with both your experienced noses with high-end fragrances you can decern the truly high-quality lux smelling inexpensive fragrances!
Yes. Oud silk mood is a good one and I’m glad that it’s not as popular as the others from the line. Serge Lutens is my absolute favorite I love just about everything from Serge Lutens. ❤️🖤❤️
I think Delina smells generic, but it smells perfect. I can say the same about Baccarat. I love both. I couldn't justify buying Delina so I have Very Good Girl -- much fresher, I think. I wonder if you've tried that one. Great vid !!!
So glad I found your channel. You know you have the same taste as someone when they hate every fragrance you do. 😂. You’re also one of few people I’ve seen talking about Serge Lutens, one of my favorite houses. Oud Silk Mood is one of the only MFKs I enjoy but I never see it talked about. I don’t at all get Delina either, but I smelled YSL Blouse from their Les Vestaires collection recently and immediately thought i was smelling Delina but with much better execution and more complexity. The addition of Angelica which takes it to the next level. It’s also done by the same perfumer, Quentin Bisch, but I think it’s a major improvement on his original concept. Worth checking out if you haven’t already!
I feel that with fragrances the love/hate relationship many times is a result of associations that a person has with the scent. When I smell something for the first time and if the first associations are very unpleasent then it’s difficult for me to change my opinion about the fragrance. That’s a bit stupid, I know. But I also know that it doesn’t mean that the fragrance is bad in itself, exactly like you said, Sam. Love your honesty. And your style is impeccable!❤️
I love wearing Fille En Aiguilles every winter after all of the holiday festivities are over! 💚🌲 I also enjoy Bois d’Ascese (Naomi Goodsir) & Arborist (Jorum Studio) this time of year.
ooooh i'm really happy to see prada amber!😍 I bought this perfume in 2009 I was 23 years old, in the middle of summer in Sardinia haha! and I wore it night and day, summer and winter. I found that in summer it took on another dimension. I always have a bottle at home. it could easily be worn by a man! I also don't understand the hype around delina and I'm tired of smelling dupes of this stuff everywhere! great great video as always! and that lipstick is gorgeous on you!!
😂 but you say Delina - parfum de marly so well. I Love your honesty. I don’t like most fragrances that are warm with lots of Amber in it…ironic I know. I do not like the smell of my name haha!!!
@@MyWorldofFragrance I’m not even sure…. I think the difference is how much you genuinely love smells. It is the passion for the art that resonates with me. ❤️
Love Prada Amber and Eau Intense Vetiver...I live in the California desert and Intense Vetiver does remind me of brisk weather, super refreshing. I also love Le Male and Alien (don't tell anyone) for probably the same reasons you don't like them. They remind me of good times/good people. Scents are so connected to our memories and moods. I need to get a sample of Rose Barbare...been wanting to try that for a while now. Thanks pal!!
That sounds magical -- I'd totally use it for some escapism if I lived in a different climate too. I totally get it - as I said, I would probably love them if it weren't for my bad associations. 🌹Xo Sam
I’m a Serge Lutens fan and will always be! Unfortunate for me that they are no longer sold in US stores 😳. I do have lots of bottle of most of them! Serge I love your creations!!!!
Thank you for your honesty. I also love Prada Amber. About Alien, I feel the same way about Black Orchid. They are both creative and beautiful scents but they're too available that they became generic, in the most annoying way. I'm also a oud lover and wearer, my worst oud nightmare is Oud Bouquet.
I brought back Le Malle to Macy's a short time after I purchased it. This was back in 2012. Why, it was way too strong for me. Whoa. Everyone around me loved it, but it was just too much. I have a couple of summer ones though. One that I don't like is Montale's Fruit of the Musk, and I also have a difficult time with calone heavy based scents. Hope you have the very best weekend ahead Sam. Sorry to hear about Queen Elizabeth ll.
I completely agree with you on Delina. Delina doesn’t smell bad just very generic and wayyy too expensive. I think the hype is partly due to the cute bottle and that attracts a lot of people who are not so experienced with perfume (including me, that bottle makes me want the perfume for the longest time lol).
So true about Prada. I had to revisit the male Prada Amber 16years later and now I love it, when it was released I was in my early 20s and not ready for it.
I loooove Fille en Anguille💕. I do not have a full bottle, unfortunately. I do have a full bottle of SL Arabie, and I really love that one. It has pretty good performance too. Great video, thank you for posting:)
Hey girl, I absolutely love your videos your honesty is so refreshing. Like many ladies out there my frag obsession kind of went into overdrive during lock down and although I'm still into them I'm not so much into all the over priced over hyped same same same. It makes me think of Hip Hop back in the day like, there was a time when an Mc or a producer or Dj had to really take their time to perfect their flow the technique the style ect. Fast forward to today and there is literally zero talent required (imo) and everyone is biting everyones elses vibe it all sounds the same! Sadly Ive been feeling this way about fragrance lately and Ive spent a pretty penny only to end up smelling like everyone else around me or just to get an instant migraine its ANNOYING lol. Sorry if my analogy is a bit off but I dont want to smell played out especially with the price points of some of these brands. You have helped so much with that tho, I've discovered some real hidden gems by watching you and Im so grateful to be off the "Trendy Train" lol. I love watching your frag hunt travel videos because I also travel quite a bit and I do the exact same thing when I can especially when I'm in the Middle East because they really do their thing out there I come home smelling good good everytime from those trips hehe. Sending you and yours lots of luv from the ATL xox
I couldn’t agree more with you about Delina. On the other hand, I really like Alexandre II, but, on using my decant on a daily basis, it’s not something to write home about.
Hello Sam… great video and wonderful conversation starter. I also enjoy Persolaise but I hate H24. The metallic dry down is hideous. I love Amber Aoud. It’s definitely the fig note that gets me and the dry down is so dense, elegant and screams luxury. Makes me happy whenever I spray it.
Scents do bring back memories. For this reason I can not wear any perfume with a noticeable rose note - during my childhood most of the toilets air-freshers were rosy, so whenever there is a hint of rose, I associate the perfume with air fresheners :( The rose has to be well blended for me to accept it. I do have perfumes that include roses but they are masterfully blended. Btw, I did buy a swiss arabian rose-oud tester, with a prominent rose, to use as an upgraded air freshener ... :)
Im so glad you make videos where you talk about perfumes that are actually interesting and worth talking about and that are more personal to you and your taste as well! I wish there was more of that sort of content. I’m completely with you with all the hates btw! And still don’t understand why anyone would want to smell like everyone else around..
I love Oud Satin Mood! Own a bottle of the extrait but only wear it like 4 times a year. Tried Oud Silk Mood which I loved when I sniffed the top and on a blotter but on my skin it was just not good, too much rose maybe? My friend agreed and said that the fragrance felt old, like it aged me.
I recently tried a few of the Histoires de Parfums fragrances due to your recommendation (Thank you!). Someone compared 1725 to Reflection Man and I also cannot get that out of my mind. It is not as bad because I do like Reflection Man and wear it to the office often. Still it reminded me how influential random internet comments can be on your perception. I have no idea whether I would've smelled the similarity without it. On the other hand, another persons take on a scent can really change your perception in a good way. I tried Byredo Blanche and at first it smelled like moth repellant. When my mum pointed out more complex notes I started to love the scent.
Amor Amor from Cacharelle. I ANSOLUTLY HATE that smell. To the point that I cannot be next to anyone wearing it. Just discovered your channel and I think is amazing!!❤
Alexandria II and III are the most luxurious perfumes I ever smelled.. but of course not every one has the same taste… and is not a fragrance to go shopping or work. Is a very special fragrance for special occasions…. Nice video any way.
Great examples of when fragrances EXPLODE! It’s one thing it becoming popular but when the other companies rip it and you smell (almost the same smell but worse) everywhere, it’s over. Excellent video as always ❤️
I don't like Le Male much either. When I finish my bottle of Delina may not repurchase another, a lady came up to me and said are you wearing Delina?lol too common. I don't smell BR 450 on any one around me. Don't like Oud Satin Mood. Will check out the Guerlain Rose and Prada Amber. Fun video!
I don't like it either when I smell a certain fragrance everywhere. It takes away from my personal pleasure of owning it when it's everywhere. I do like it when a fragrance makes me feel special in some way, and I can't feel special when it's a mass fragrance that you smell everyday on so many different people. I know that may be snobbish, but it's how l feel.
Great video as always! I've been wanting to try the Serge fragrance(I won't tell anyone else about it:). Will have to try Oud Silk Mood, as Oud Satin was too much.
I tried Alien for the first time in a while the other day. I agree it instantly felt dated because it's been overworn. I felt the same when I got a J'adore sample recently.
Hi Sam.Yes Sebastian talk about Fille en Anguille as One of Favorite(10 for life) and I didn’t put my Nose On.I also see that You have thé older formulation. Those day’s they put this and some others in to “More Exclusive” range they change thé Bottle(hope not thé juice) and a higher price(274€).Next week I will go to Antwerp sniff it and I will come back to sheer my impression.Nothing But The Best Sam
The Delinas, yes I agree with you they are generic and we (particularly) Arabs in Bahrain, Emirates and the Arabian Gulf are very familiar with this scent profile, most of us grew smelling this for decades generation after generation...I have always thought this traditional blend needs to be revived and presented in a modern way ....comes Mr. Bisch and does that... by adding unexpected note/s....I see (The Delinas) as masterly crafted beyond perfection..this is exactly how I imagined and wished for.
Oh, I was afraid Fille en aiguilles was on "hate" (I scrolled down a bit to far) because I LOVE this perfume, but puh! 😂😍 Unfortunately I can't get a hold of it now (at a prize that I will pay), and I only have a ml left from my bottle, so now I only smell the bottle so I don't use the rest 🙃. I really follow you on "le mal" 🙈😅 too many (not so pleasant) memories from my teens. Thank you for all that you make and share ♥️
I agree with you 1000% regarding Delina . I tried it several times & just couldn't get on board with it . Generic is a perfect adjective for it . The Prada amber you mentioned -----I'm thinking it's the original that came out years ago . If it is then it is one of my favorite scents . I received many compliments when I wore it . Really enjoy your videos .
Sam, bonjour. I gave many years ago a Le Male to my father and so for me perhaps Alexandria II would be very special. I want to own Alexandria II one day as my father is now resting in the Universe.
I think I'm allergic to Jen and Eric too. Together, they're just average. 🤭😂 But if you like Eau Intense Vetiver, give Sidonie Lancesseur's Wild Vetiver a try (for Bentley). It has this verbena that comes out in the mid that gives it a bit more zing, but they're very similar in terms of scent profile. Big fan of Fille en Aiguilles! 💚
The Prada amber one is such a savory fragrance. There’s vanilla/amber in it for sure but it leans so savory for me lol I like and layer it with grand soir sometimes
My top 10 fragrances I guess I'll use forever ♾️ 1 Code by Armani (my best since my teen girlhood age but it lacks performance though it's fine) 2* Rumba passion by Ted Lapidus (formerly made by Balenciaga) 3* Rumba by Ted Lapidus (likewise) * Both are available only in EDT but so strong to easily confuse it with an EDP the performance is just crazy 👀 3 L interdit by Givenchy (acceptable performance & great scent) 4 Midnight Rose by Lancôme (likewise) 5 n*5 by Chanel (the new version is not at all an old lady scent the performance is kinda good) 6 Si by Amrmani (lovely scent especially by night the performance is okay) 7 Musc Diamond by Lancôme (likewise) 8 Musc Halima by El Nabil (the cheapest of my fragrances 20 euros/50ml but definitely a hit each time I wear it I receive a lot of compliments and the performance is good also it's a fragrance that suits women as well men) 9 CK Shock by Calvin Klein (great great scent but the performance is poor) 10 Poison Girl by Dior (what a beast but to be worn very carefully 👀
I always enjoy your opinions Sam! Today I was wearing one of my most non-generic fragrances, School from Rook Perfumes. The Serge one you cited has me intrigued! Have you heard of the Italian niche brand Meo Fusciuni? I recently encountered it and am especially taken with Spirito -- an evocative nature scent.
Hello Sam, I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts in this video. I have Spell 125 which is supposed to resemble the SL but I want to get my nose on the SL. It's so, so pricy now that it has been put into the black bottles. I want to try out the Guerlain and will hopefully get a sample sometime in the future. I have been enjoying rose as a note and have a soft spot for Guerlain fragrances. Thanks for your honest opinion! - Jenn
Thank you for the Prada Amber love. Hardly anyone in fragcom talks about this one. I remember when it first came out in 2004. Magazines were full of the gorgeous ads. There was no Chanel Coromandel yet. I didn’t know what to think when I inhaled it for the first time at a department store. It was so different from the CKOne types still hanging on from the 90s, or the sugary celeb scents that were everywhere in the early 00s. Prada Amber & Infusion d’Iris are responsible for tossing me headlong down the rabbit hole of fragrance. Haven’t looked back since. ❤️
Great video! I once loved Alien. Had the big bottle. Then smelled it on someone else and gave it away 😂. I can’t stand it now. Not surprised that the Valentino fragrance is there. I like it, but I think it being generic is also why I ended up never buying it.
I just watched the rest of this video. I agree! Wholeheartedly agree! Delina, Alien and BR540 is a definite NO for me. I enjoy niche/indie/artisan frags for the sole purpose of smelling like no other. There are other reasons I don't like these but that being one of the top......
The love/like of a fragrance is super subjective and relative! One woman’s “trash” can be another’s treasure! If a fragrance makes you feel a certain way, transports you to a place and time, makes you fell beautifully, happy, powerful, strong, confident…(pick a word), WEAR IT, REGARDLESS! 😊
I fell in love with Alexandria 2 and you were the reason behind it, now I'm kinda confused about this. But anyways I get it now, hence why we have exes.
Look at this lip color!!! Oooh la la. So much glamour as usual. Hi Sam! Listening now + enjoying every minute. I strongly dislike le Male as well but somehow adore Fleur du Male. Whatever, Delina! I wish others got 1/10th of the attention. And why are there so many BR540 dupes (I loved the original too but gosh, people)? So fun to hear what an experienced perfume lover + collector reveres most + the associated feelings. And yet I also agree that variety is the spice of life. Have never tried Oud Silk Mood-now want to! Rose Barbare is gorgeous but I hate that the pricing w/in this line is so exclusive. Prada Amber is sooooooo addictive. Have you tried Desert Fleur by Bohemian Reves? Have a feeling you’d love it. Loved your lists + unique takes. 💛
I always enjoy these types of videos, I find them to be so refreshing🤩😍👌. I always find it intriguing and yet understandable when people say everybody wears a particular fragrance😉😉. In my country not everybody wears Delina or BR540 so I’m still safe😍😍. However with the designers it’s another story, people seem to like the same things🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. You have your own unique style which I love👌👌. Stay gorgeous🥰🥰.
It's interesting because I've recently had a LeMale revival through a clone called Cuba Gold. However this is after a good 25+ year's. In which I didn't appreciate the scent as much as today. As for Terre D'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver I'm a little disappointed because of it's similarities with Encre Noire, it left me feeling I could've had two more bottles for what I paid for TDH. Anyway I'll have to wear it to see i how I feel now it's getting cooler.
i don't know whether to laugh or cry. about a year ago, a day after shoulder surgery and whilst being heavily medicated, i allowed myself to be convinced that i needed "Oud Yssee." although i don't despise it as much as you, i've only worn it twice; and i'd all but forgotten about this entire oud perfume debacle until having now just watched your video. i accept your apology. good thing i think you're the bees-knees (as my grandmothers would say).
This reminds me to try TdH Vetiver, and especially Fille en Aiguilles; I adore out-in-nature, forest scents. Encre Noir, or the fresh, upbeat 4711 Woods of Scandinavia. And 6:20 _This!_ 😅👌 I've only smelled allegedly very good dupes of Delina, no associations with people.. but oh, no. I sounded too mean saying what feeling it gave me so either way, inexplicable, and bad. ^^ 🤷♀I too love many scents others 'hate', so ☮
Love this Sam thank you! I really trust your nose! I sniffed Delina and was so underwhelmed for the price, just too girly and generic. I feel the same about Alien - I like it alone but have too many other people wearing and scent memories. Love Serge Lutens.
I used to like delina, but as of 2019 I couldn’t stand the powdery sxent of my skin anymore, had to sell it along with delina exclusif also powdery and smell burnt tire on my skin, I totally agree with you!!
Hello Sam, I have the same issue with BR540. I used to be sooo addicted to it a few years ago. Now everytime I have to go to Lille or Brussels, I smell it or a clone of it in the streets. So annoying that I barely wear it anymore 😆 I have to put my nose on Oud silk mood again. So far Oud satin mood is the one that I love from the range, but indeed I need to be in the mood for it 😁 (I also got lots of rose, violet and vanilla from it, mixed with the oud it's delicious but can be a bit too much sometimes). I also have the elixir version which sits closer to the skin and is more wearable to me. I love Terre D'Hermès intense vetiver, which is my favourite version from the range. I find the citrus/grapefruit part is perfectly balanced with the vetiver 🥰 Not a fan of Delina either. I know people love it but it smells like a fruity shampoo / hairspray to me. Don't get the hype with PDM in general. But well, I guess I just have different taste 😅 I have several Serge Lutens but if I had to keep only 2 it would Fille en aiguilles and Fleurs d'oranger ❤ Thanks for your video, I feel less alone on these points 😂
It's such a shame, isn't it! Oh, love that you mentioned that grapefruity aspect in E.I.V. it's lovely. I totally get shampoo vibes from Delina. Love your two Lutens choices 🌹Xo Sam
Wonderful video! I adore a couple of your dislikes (Alien and BR540) but I can understand not wanting to smell the same thing on everyone all the time. Perhaps I'm lucky I live in a rural area and am subjected to fewer people and their fragrances 😀 Fille en Aiguilles is in my top for life and I think I've finally broken its association with Christmas in my mind! It's too lovely to be tucked away 11 months out of the year.
Hi! more than 5 in the perfumes you least like! 😁 But I understand the reasons you give, it's the same with me. Thanks for the references! Keep up the good work! kisses Maria
Finally!!!! Someone agrees with me about Delina…so so generic. Same with the exclusif one as well. Thank you for acknowledging this. It drives me nuts that everyone goes crazy for Delina

I wasn’t impressed either.

@@MyWorldofFragrance hi, Sam. Can I buy Alexandria 11 off you please? I live in St Albans, Hertfordshire. I would like to own a Xerjoff.
@@luyolomify sorry, I gave them to my partner. Will let you know if I sell any in the future 🌹

I clutched my pearls when Delina popped up lol! LOVED this video and it was so much fun. You are so beautiful. 😍🤩 Wonderful content as always 🥰
in awe and totally crushing on Persolaise but im also in awe of Madam persolaise lol so I wont go there! but i love him! i love your choices i just currently cant afford them! ha

I sold my bottle of Delina after blind buying too!
I will sell my bottle today. I instantly hated it too and the bottle is so pretty I wanted to keep it but F that!

FILLE EN AGUILLES has probably one of the most emotional scent profiles: smells like a sad but beautiful forrest in a Brothers Grimm fairytale 🖤
I love this description. Thank you 🌹Xo Sam

😂 but you say Delina - parfum de marly so well. I Love your honesty. I don’t like most fragrances that are warm with lots of Amber in it…ironic I know. I do not like the smell of my name haha!!!
Share away! Love hearing your honest thoughts. You are absolutely one of my favourite people to watch talk about scented water. ❤️
Thank you so much! I'm just honest I guess --- is that so rare? 😆🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance I’m not even sure…. I think the difference is how much you genuinely love smells. It is the passion for the art that resonates with me. ❤️
@@breannacarels6479 That's very sweet, thank you 🌹🌹🌹
Love Prada Amber and Eau Intense Vetiver...I live in the California desert and Intense Vetiver does remind me of brisk weather, super refreshing.
🌹Xo Sam
Have that Prada Amber! I don’t know what to do- my atomizer stopped working and I miss it. It’s such a sensual perfume
Oh nooo... see I was told a long time ago to avoid atomizers for that reason. But they look so chic! 🌹Xo Sam
Would you ever showcase your entire collection?
Alien is everywhere. It’s inescapable. As for Delina, I personally love it. It was the first niche fragrance I purchased.
Sam, I looooove you channel 🤩🥰
I’m a Serge Lutens fan and will always be! Unfortunate for me that they are no longer sold in US stores 😳. I do have lots of bottle of most of them! Serge I love your creations!!!!
I am right there with you on Delina! I thought I was the only one......lol
Love Prada Amber too! No one talks about it, but it takes me back to high school when everyone older than me was wearing it! Now I love it!
The way you described terre d'Hermès vetiver was SPOT ON!!! Its indeed like taking a walk in nature and connecting with it! Love you review!
Thank you! I really have that connection with it 🌹Xo Sam
Fun tag, I always love your videos 🙃 I’m mid-move right now so my perfumes are all boxed up 😪 been sampling Andrea Maack.
Oh the music/art/film analogies are very relevant - thanks for bringing up that point. I totally agree. Much love back 🌹Xo Sam
For this reason I can not wear any perfume with a noticeable rose note - during my childhood most of the toilets air-freshers were rosy, so whenever there is a hint of rose, I associate the perfume with air fresheners :(
The rose has to be well blended for me to accept it. I do have perfumes that include roses but they are masterfully blended.
Btw, I did buy a swiss arabian rose-oud tester, with a prominent rose, to use as an upgraded air freshener ... :)
!!! i was so excited to see a new video from you!
Yaaaay, welcome welcome 🌹Xo Sam
Omg I don’t like Delina as well! I thought I was crazy 😂
I’ll Buy Both Of Them From You.. Always Good To See And Hear You.
Im so glad you make videos where you talk about perfumes that are actually interesting and worth talking about and that are more personal to you and your taste as well! I wish there was more of that sort of content. I’m completely with you with all the hates btw! And still don’t understand why anyone would want to smell like everyone else around..
Thank you! Ah yes, we are a minority. Mass-appealing makes more cash 🌹Xo Sam
Great video Sam! 🙌👏❤️
Thanks Sam, super fun! I am also a devoted of Guerlain... it is a transformation at the instant even merely by looking at the bottle:)
I love love love Rose Barbare too
Alexandria II and III are the most luxurious perfumes I ever smelled.. but of course not every one has the same taste… and is not a fragrance to go shopping or work. Is a very special fragrance for special occasions…. Nice video any way.
Great examples of when fragrances EXPLODE! It’s one thing it becoming popular but when the other companies rip it and you smell (almost the same smell but worse) everywhere, it’s over. Excellent video as always ❤️
Thanks for sharing your humble thoughts on fragrances you love and fragrances you hate! I like the way you explain your own thoughts
Thank you, Adam, I appreciate that 🌹Xo Sam
Just love perfume when it’s tied to a moment and a song. Like terre d’hermes pure perfume, for me it’s tied to a summer and Ego from 🍀 Lucky Daye.
I found that Serge Lutens fragrance for $170 on fragrancenet once. I messaged Sebastian and he picked up a back up bottle.
Thank you, I hope you like it! 🌹Xo Sam
🌹 ooo haven't heard of that one, thanks for the tip! 🌹Xo Sam
Have you tried Oud Cashmere Mood from MFK? My favorites oud from MFK along with Oud Silk Mood EDP and Oud EDP.
Yup! My favorite is Cashmere Mood, but I don't think they make it anymore :(
The Prada amber one is such a savory fragrance. There’s vanilla/amber in it for sure but it leans so savory for me lol I like and layer it with grand soir sometimes
My top 10 fragrances I guess I'll use forever ♾️
1 Code by Armani (my best since my teen girlhood age but it lacks performance though it's fine)
2* Rumba passion by Ted Lapidus (formerly made by Balenciaga)
3* Rumba by Ted Lapidus (likewise)
* Both are available only in EDT but so strong to easily confuse it with an EDP the performance is just crazy 👀
3 L interdit by Givenchy (acceptable performance & great scent)
4 Midnight Rose by Lancôme (likewise)
5 n*5 by Chanel (the new version is not at all an old lady scent the performance is kinda good)
6 Si by Amrmani (lovely scent especially by night the performance is okay)
7 Musc Diamond by Lancôme (likewise)
8 Musc Halima by El Nabil (the cheapest of my fragrances 20 euros/50ml but definitely a hit each time I wear it I receive a lot of compliments and the performance is good also it's a fragrance that suits women as well men)
9 CK Shock by Calvin Klein (great great scent but the performance is poor)
10 Poison Girl by Dior (what a beast but to be worn very carefully 👀
I always enjoy your opinions Sam! Today I was wearing one of my most non-generic fragrances, School from Rook Perfumes. The Serge one you cited has me intrigued! Have you heard of the Italian niche brand Meo Fusciuni? I recently encountered it and am especially taken with Spirito -- an evocative nature scent.
Hello Sam,
I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts in this video.
I love MFK oud silk mood as well (v.s. Oud satin mood) and Guerlain Rose Barbare. Glad that 2 out of your love scents are on my love list as well.
Aaah the tastes have aligned 🌹Xo Sam
Oh hi Amy! Fleur du Mâle I've heard is the better version, but d/c'ed sadly, so I never tried it. I must try that Desert Fleur, sounds lush 🌹Xo Sam
I have the same opinion as you for most of these. Great video, thanks.
Agree with you in Delina!
i don't know whether to laugh or cry. about a year ago, a day after shoulder surgery and whilst being heavily medicated, i allowed myself to be convinced that i needed "Oud Yssee." although i don't despise it as much as you, i've only worn it twice; and i'd all but forgotten about this entire oud perfume debacle until having now just watched your video. i accept your apology. good thing i think you're the bees-knees (as my grandmothers would say).
This reminds me to try TdH Vetiver, and especially Fille en Aiguilles; I adore out-in-nature, forest scents. Encre Noir, or the fresh, upbeat 4711 Woods of Scandinavia.
And 6:20 _This!_ 😅👌
I've only smelled allegedly very good dupes of Delina, no associations with people..
Hi Sam, we need to accept each other and our tastes 🥰 loved this video 😘
love all Serge Lutens Fragrances!🥰🥰
I used to like delina, but as of 2019 I couldn’t stand the powdery sxent of my skin anymore, had to sell it along with delina exclusif also powdery and smell burnt tire on my skin, I totally agree with you!!
Such a shame that you went from liking it to disliking it. Hate it when that happens 🌹Xo Sam
Hello Sam, I have the same issue with BR540. I used to be sooo addicted to it a few years ago. Now everytime I have to go to Lille or Brussels, I smell it or a clone of it in the streets. So annoying that I barely wear it anymore 😆
I have to put my nose on Oud silk mood again.
I find the citrus/grapefruit part is perfectly balanced with the vetiver 🥰
Not a fan of Delina either. I know people love it but it smells like a fruity shampoo / hairspray to me. Don't get the hype with PDM in general. But well, I guess I just have different taste 😅
I have several Serge Lutens but if I had to keep only 2 it would Fille en aiguilles and Fleurs d'oranger ❤
Thanks for your video, I feel less alone on these points 😂
But I understand the reasons you give, it's the same with me.
Thanks for the references!
Keep up the good work!
kisses
Maria
You're right! Maybe I got carried away 😂 🌹Xo Sam
My abusive ex husband wore le male from Gaultier. Now my wonderful father in law wears it. My brain and nose get so confused!
Oh no! How terrible... get him a new fragrance :) 🌹Xo Sam
