You are definitely an inspiration to me. I lost my husband two years ago and have had to take on projects around the house that I never had to do before! You make me see what is possible!
Beautiful work. Everything you chose works so well. I love the painting with the black frame and the hallstand and the star tiles and the colours. You put so much mindful thought into all of it.
Thank you 😁 I love collecting skills. I see myself as a skill collector actually 😆 If I could, I would do this all day everyday, learn new skills, do courses and learn how things work. It really energizes me
Thank you, as this will be a guest apartment in my house for airbnb guests I wanted to stay true to the historic character as possible and try to bring back how it was made 100 years ago
Big satisfaction to check such a list! White nails, ouh classy! "Toalett" what? Is it a swedish word? It sounds like phonetic french, it's funny! I love all the details in this hallway: lamps are cool, the light of the paint is beautiful, I love the coat hanger and the work you put in the floor and ceiling trims ! As usual, bravo!
The bigger they are the bigger the satisfaction 😉 toalett means toilet. It was a sign that was already on the door when I moved in 😁 I just kept it. Thank you 🙏
@@old_school_moaboa That's true! You certainly know that but in french we say "toilettes" and it's pronunced "twa"let not "toy"let, that's why toalett is funny 😄
Beautifully done! Just discovered your channel through a Shorts video, and I really like your renovation style! However, I think your videos could benefit from a bit more fast-paced editing style and maybe even voice-over. Laura Kampf's renovation videos might be a good inspiration. Just a few thoughts, maybe it helps, but feel free to disregard my advice :D
Thank you! Yes when it comes to videography and editing, I am still learning. I watch Lauras channel already, and she talks and explains a lot more than I do but also has a cameraman filming her which makes it a lot easier. I am still experimenting and I have recently started pay more attention to different angles when doing the same job. But it's hard when you also try to get things done 😆
Please forgive me if I’m stating the obvious (I’ve never tried to steam wood and I’m in awe of the detail and skill you’re putting into this renovation!), but have you tried cutting or shaving out a bit of the corner part of the wood on the back side of the trim? Maybe if it doesn’t have to compress as much, it might be less prone to breaking?
@@old_school_moaboa Ha! Of course it did. Like I said - zero experience in steaming over here, apologies. I think your solution worked perfectly and the finished room is stunning. I’m loving watching the place transform. :) Between yourself, Anna Lindgren, and Roaming Wild Rosie, you’ve all got me thoroughly convinced on linseed oil paint. I had never heard of it before and am going to use it to spruce up a few things around my place, so thanks! :)
wonderful room and it just needs more green big green plant and the frame of the paint needs to be mat finish (it is too shiny for the natural room (every item iused in this room is natural looking ) and it looks so small and lonely you can add 2 or 3 more paintings or a 1 big painting with a wood frame pale green mat finish frame . You are amazing and so brave
I have volunteers helping out, so you will see different faces in the different videos. In this video I had Greta from Germany, a young student helping out for two weeks :-)
@@old_school_moaboa oh I see....you have great taste in décor, an eye for detail and colour choices. I wish I'd had you around when I had my Edwardian seaside town house restored. You'd have saved my a fortune in labour costs....lol
What I respect most is that you can handle wiring and plumbing.
Oh I don't do the wiring myself, it's not allowed in Sweden. It's done by my electrician, I just prepare for it, to save money 😀
@@old_school_moaboa Oh, ok. I meant that you hung the lamps and attached their wires to those in the ceiling. I don’t know how to do that.
So much attention to detail !!! Love your work!
Thank you 😁
Simply Amazing! You put so much time and effort into it. Love the details. ❤
Thank you 🫶🫶

You often reference your “work,” so of course we are curious about what you do when you go to work.
The lace blouse is outstanding!!!
I work as am urban designer for the city of Helsingborg. I design public spaces, work with placemaking and lots of strategies and city development
I just found you on RUclips today, I’m looking forward to seeing much more. I love what you’re doing.
Thank you and welcome to my channel ❤️

Good for kitty! I had a sweet dog who caught mice.
Looks beautiful great work 😊

I tried that when I did the ceiling, but it seemed to make it more prone to breaking. But I am new at this so maybe I should have tried it

You need to make a mold of your curve. Steam the wood, curve it around the mold, when dry, tack it to your baseboard.
Du får ta och köpa dig ett dorn. Så att du kan spika in spikarna snyggt på listerna
Jag har det, men glömde bort att använda 😆 tyckte det blev fint ändå så behovet dök inte riktigt upp

Ah yes, maybe something more. We are a bit more minimalistic here in Sweden 😆 but definetly more green plants, will try to find a suitable one!
Bit confused is the lady a single mum and not a partner to help her do the DIY?

2:50 you realise that she is killing not rats and mice but lizards and Birds too in huge amounts….
Birds yes but we dont have lizards in a size that interests her here in Sweden
