    The wardrobe looks beautiful in natural wood--good call. I love your inventiveness. It's okay to watch programs sometimes. This work is hard, and it will take a long time to do the whole house, so you need to protect yourself from burning out.

    Beautiful work throughout: you've done SO much restoration. I'm sure you've already considered it, but I would certainly recommend using a soft clear wax on the painted beds if the red pigment is still coming off. Not only would it protect the paint/bedding but would also make the painted wood safe from liquid spills. Sweden manufactures an excellent brand of soft wax sold elsewhere as 'Vinnies' (not sure what it's called in Sweden). You're amazing.

    Your room is lovely. I like the unpainted cupboard very much. What a lot of work to remove all the blue. And your ideas for the pillows are great. It will look very colorful. The seashells from Florida are called the Florida Fighting Conch. They are very common where I live in southwest Florida, on the Gulf coast. What a surprise to see them on a curtain rod in Sweden! Best wishes to you.

      @@old_school_moaboa I live in Fort Myers. I used to have a home very near the causeway to Sanibel Island but it was destroyed in the hurricane two years ago. I used to love going out to the beaches on Sanibel-finding Florida Fighting Conch shells, and many others. Sadly, Sanibel has a lot of cleanup and rebuilding to do. Many beaches are still closed. Your collection of Fighting Conches are adult size. I don’t think they grow bigger, at least around Sanibel. They are thick, sturdy shells and have a beautiful shape. You found a good use for them.

      Haha no I don't film myself taking breaks and laying on my couch but trust me I do that too. There are some things I struggle with to get on to do. It's usually because it's something I haven't done before and at the same time a bit boring/seem hard. So I might procrastinate for some time. But I also know if I don't do it, it won't get done. So at the end. It get on with it 😆 I try to think of my work as slow renovation as I don't want to take any short cuts if it means less quality. I am trying to do it sustainable and so it will last for generations 😃

    Well done 🎉 It's now a lovely space for guests. A suggestion: the empty corner (where pampas grasses are attached to the wall) would be ideal for a suitcase rack (backpack or carry-on size), perhaps a repurposed coffee table, backed by a rod for hanging towels. Is there a mirror in the room, e.g. inside the wardrobe?

    • @old_school_moaboa
      @old_school_moaboa  3 месяца назад +2

      The large mirror is in the hallway. Might put one in here too, but for now that was the best place for it. And yes, I have one piano stool that would be perfect for suitcases. I have thought of it but it needs a makeover, it's now in the channy chic style. For now I am focusing the next room in the guest apartment so the guests can have a small kitchen, table and a sofa 😄

    Snyggt jobbat.
    Skruva på en mutter på skruven först sen skruvar du in den. Då kommer den fästa skåpet.
    Så slipper du kapa eller köpa en kortare skruv.
    Du kan lätt kapa skruven med en bågfil men sätt på en mutter först så att du kan fixa gängan när du skruvar av den.
