Just bought myself a NVG-10 which has a small 25° FOV so am in the process of swapping out the lens for a wide angle FPV lens which should give me 70° FOV. Not sure if you can do the same with this one ?

I just got a China PVS-31 digital NVG with upgraded circle view monitor (not the small square one....) inside, it almost give the same image view angle as the real deal, but still need the IR in very dark environment, cost me about USD700 for it.
Directly purchase from producer in Mainland China, he use FMA model body and modify into working digital NVG, I have to wait for almost one month production period for it.
I bought a separate one I don’t see the guy selling it anymore but he altered a “opmod” nvg by adding a lens to widen the view, and tweaked a couple other things and then sold it for $100 more to me and for what it is it works pretty good. Was about as much as the 18 or 10 but wayyyy wider field of view. Butttt I see now there’s is not only a lens kit but a special mount for the 10 But looks like the lens should work for this as well. What really were you expecting. It’s 1/10 of the price of the most base line real deal peice of gear. It’s for airsoft orrrrrrrrr for someone whose technically inclined to upgrade it but someone’s selling what I have on a cheap ass ( I’d say even cheaper than these) lens kit and it’s works fine for 1x with light navigation and close quarters stuff. Any amount of research will tell you are lucky there’s anything 1x that can see at night that’s even available in this price range and has and option to upgrade as your next best bet is early gen 1 or maybe 2 if your are lucky and that’s still usually like 2-3 times more than these things. Take it for what it is or save up a couple Gs and there is a million small companies with guys that refirbish the 14s and make ‘em pretty sweet and get them as updated and running as best they can with whats on the market . If I’ve learned anything since starting this gear journey it’s either buy the expensive shit or get ready to either alter or be disappointed or both actually.

Turns out the bosses of the two companies are friends. I still want one just to hand off to a friend to borrow at an airsoft night game so I can laugh at their struggles while watching them through my dual tubes.
The way to possibly fix this issue is the correct magnifying glass being placed in front of the viewing lens which will give a wider field of view. They could have made something awesome by doing so.

I can’t remember if you bought your device from Amazon or not ,but I have found out the hard way that Amazon does not check out their sellers as they claim and that is a shame. The same device ,under a different name, is on Amazon looking all professional on the exterior ,but now we know the truth of the matter.
I bought a PVS-14 from AliExpress, arrived today and being returned tomorrow. Exact same reason as yourself. Ridicoulous field of view and tiny window. Currently looking at the NVG-30 which is decent for around £350GBP. Hopefully people will see this video and the comments and save their money.
Digital* pvs 14s are just toys, the NVG10s are good, NVG 30s look promising, these ones are just trying to look real but they dont care about much else

Trust me i know exactly what youre going through with gambling on these Alibaba fkrs.. i bought my nvg from there and i was going to buy this particular device until i seen your video so thank you for your review and sorry for the shitty experience.. i almost got ripped off from a seller that had a sionyx kit.. the fact they wanted payment through a secondary means and didn't want to communicate through the Alibaba app itself didn't set well with me.. so thanks again for your video review.. have you tried or heard anything about the mini pvs 14?
That red mode will make you a sitting duck to anyone with a real nvd digital or tube. .. it's a cheap china copy product. Fancy casing but junk components. They sell the same tech for under $100 with a cheap casing instead and it bolts onto scopes with a collar. They're decent for pest control out to about 100 yards digital rifle Scope adapter
Uh a night vision user can see the light on your face regardless of color first of all. Besides I'm not a zogbot. No, the point of this video is that this is not even as good as the 100 dollar unit.
Nvg 10/30 are actually good at the same price range, you don't understand this thing is literally a toy. There are actually plenty of decent and useful digital night vision units for around 300 dollars.
You got ripped off lile everyone else who bought this product. I tried telling my buddy not to buy one and thay I would sell him my old green phosphor PVS 14 but it was totally convinced it wasn't a scam. Well he got it and it sucks.
I can't say, haven't tried it. The sensor is very good, but the FOV is small. It's a joke for a helmet mount, but as a handheld recon/observation device it's very good for the price, and it shows some promise on a weapon if you can magage a mount
The ten has some other stuff people have made to to correct the red ir flare and feint of view snd made and ok mount. I should do a video on this modified unit a guy did for me who I think is the same guy making the mods for the nvg ten as they are the same mods on my crappy little unit that make it quite bearable actually for about the same price point as the tensZ I was skeptical about these as well. You can almost call things by the price point tbh
@@mustahdin-ibn-adam I just got one. It works great 👍. IR illumination is not needed in total darkness. The field of view is narrow, but the resolution is better than analog.
You get scammed either way because American products can charge $100s to $1000s above an already very large profit margin, although you tend to at least get moderate quality in the worst case scenario. Chinese sell far closer to actual value with a smaller profit margin but only a few products are actually competitive to certain extents.
How cheap they are they're not that expensive they're a £190 so it does not ex that's not a lot of money I'm just gonna get a pay if didn't work send a dumb things back and then you buy some different night vision goggles
It’s soooo hard to usually to send them back or they are just non refundable or if they are you gotta pay restock fees and yeah they’ll it’s a hustle they make these for a fraction of what they sell them for

I was lucky enough to get an Armasight Spark Core about 10 years ago. Mounting is a challenge, but worth it.

You can put 2 pvs18 together and make goggles.....
I bought a night owl NODS3 and made my own mount. Digital is garbage. Think I've still got a video on it.

There are lenses available that fit. I did notice the small field of view on the specs and figured that I would just get more lenses..
