Always love Einar's takes. I agree wholeheartedly his points. As a doctor I have come to the conclusion that a state or nation is akin to a complex organism. Political system or process is its nervous system. If it is not functioning correctly, ie: relaying messages of pain, vibration, position etc to the brain. Then over period of time damages and injuries starts to occur in the body. In medical terms it is called neuropathy. It is clear as an American that the process in USA today is full blown neuropathy whereas in China they are actually listening and responding quickly to each and every concern of the populace. From concerns of cost of after school tutoring, to gaming, to continued lock downs. The central government tackled each and every issue. Sometimes to the bewilderment of the west, as they ask how can they crack down on their own big tech. Keep up the job China, the truth will win out and you are leading the way for the rest of the world.

There are several things the west has missed in a big way. Firstly, is that China has different languages and cultures than the west and many western people talk about diversity but dont back it up with actions ie real tolerance and understanding for differences.
Second, western people think the west has the best governments, the rest are authoritarian. This is a blindness when you see the shortcomings of mostly polarised political systems that instead of serving the people just compete against each other and get nothing done!
The western system has merit but it has fallen into a dysfunctional state with its extreme manifestation, the US Govts corruption and irresponsible hegemony. This will not serve the future. It does not even serve the present.

Great video thanks if only all people in the west could watch this video that might stop a bit of China bashing. Most democracies in the west are not that old anyway as the majority of govts in Europe for example were monarchies . Many still have a monarchies Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Norway Netherlands Belgium UK so they are only semi Democratic with born to rule unelected Kings and Queens. Many are still constitutional monarchies, UK NZ Canada Australia etc.not fully democracies. US copied the UK system to a large degree and it is a country only 249 years old still has a long way to go to catch up to the civilization state of China LOL🤣😂

Thanks Einar for the excellent presentation. Basically, what China does very well indeed is
in addressing the first two levels of Maslow's hierachy of needs, i.e. the safety, security and
physiological needs of the common people like food, housing, transportation, medical care
and education at affordable prices as well as employment opportunities.
Western democracies can say what they like but many fail miserably in address these
basic needs of the people. And without these needs, why talk about higher lofty and idealistic need?
Ideological aspirations cannot fulfil the hunger and thirst of the masses.

What he says is a nugget, and it is now becoming mainstream understanding of the truth. Great job! Now, before the harvest, you can see the weeds springing up. But you do not pull it out with what you sow. Instead, you wait till the harvest arrives. Then you can clearly see the weeds from the wheat. Then when you harvest the wheat, you also pull out the weeds. You gather the wheat and put into your barn. As for the weeds, you tie them up in bundles and then throw them into the fire to burn. This must be the sign of the harvest.

It is not an authoritarian government as claimed by the west. China eliminated poverty and promoted the growth of the middle class. The past 40 years' success is proof of the excellent system.

China has a very effective government and the government enjoys an exceptionally high degree of legitimacy. . I live in a country that is the exact opposite. My country is a democracy. Clearly democracy does not necessarily result in effective government and often have the opposite result . I have come to suspect that other factors are equally important . These would be factors such as a country’s culture and history. I would happily trade my country’s system of government for the system in China if I was confident that the result would be equally impressive. Alas , I am not sure that it would . It may even be worse . Countries will have to find their own way and the competing systems are not by definition one better than the other . China has proved that .

I prefer a one party system. Just keep the focus on policies, not on a fight between two groups. Anyway, you can think of the party as the foundation - like the constitution is the foundation in other countries. In other countries you can't (easily) get rid of the constitution - it's the very foundation. And in China you you can't (easily) get rid of the party - it's the foundation. And if it is responsive to the people, and able to adapt and makes things better for the people, it's completely democratic and legitimate

There are offices set up to take complaints from citizens. When people complain unlike the west things get done. The government monitors Weibo and listens to the complaints of the people. Don't be fooled by western mainstream media and the government; people are not arrested for speaking out. The Chinese government truly wants to know how they can improve society. In the west you can complain til you are blue in the face, and nothing will ever get done.

even china finds it necessary to claim to be a 'democracy.' an improved version, managed by wise and benevolent elders.
north korea did it long ago.
usa became a 'democracy' gradually, as the power to vote was extended to landless men, and later, even to women.
but voting for people is not democracy. you do not live in a democracy.
the citizens of a democracy direct the activities of the nation, and make its laws. that's not china, is it. or anywhere else.
the swiss might argue, but they are managed by politicians like other nations, which would not happen in a democracy.
if democracy is nowhere, is it impossible? very likely. but the word must be preserved to prevent our masters from forever exploiting us. the ideal must be preserved, or we will end up living in an ant colony.
