Hello from Northern Mass. Just stumbled on your channel and like what I see! How big a compressor is needed to feed this plasma cutter? I too have been feeling really sketchy using those 4" angle grinders and am starting to look into a plasma cutter, but don't know if I will need to upgrade my small compressor.
Thanks for the review. I just bought the same plasma cutter a few weeks ago and have had issues with my air compressor and haven’t got what I need yet. I would love to hear more on his cutter if you ever have time to make another video.

Do you think an air dryer is needed when plasma cutting?
I put a bungee cord VERY tight over the top of mine through the handle, because it is so lightweight you can pull it right out onto the floor.
@@Trialnerror I did it AFTER it fell on the floor, but it was a "good fall". If you could ever say that about anything. I'm thanking God it did not break it internally! I think they void the warranty if it falls and breaks.

Ys but it's better just to change out the end for a 50 amp. You can buy just the connector at any hardware store. 3 wires on 3 screw terminals and you're done.

2 kg fire extinguishers hmm. Normal requirements for firefighting in Norway for hot work, is a minimum of 2x6 kg fire extinguishers, preferably fire hose + fire guard during work and 2 hours after finishing work and + hot work course with certificate for hot work :-) Hope your plasma cutter still works, I have just ordered a similar only the brown version.

I have the same cart and same welder, really like your mods. My 5000D should be here today and going to setup my cart just like you did less the fire extinguisher. Mine is on a wall next to where I do most of my welding and cutting. I also run innershield wire, do mostly farm welding and really do not care to mess with another gas bottle. Good video, thanks.

I bought this Lotos and no matter what I try it will not even cut through 1/8" plate. Am I the only one with this problem?
It should rip through 1/8" like it's tin foil even set at 30amps. I know it's a stupid question but you're sure it's getting 240volts right?
@@Trialnerror Yes it's getting 240v. I figured out the problem. The instructions say 65 psi max but that's not enough to push through so I bumped it to 90 and it works a lot better.
I order for it to cut properly the air has to be as dry as a popcorn fart.
I have a couple of questions. What kind of air do you use? Is it used to cut and weld the air?
