Mario Super Sluggers - All Captains' Special Plays

- These are the star plays (batting and pitching) for the twelve characters that are captains in Mario Super Sluggers. They are: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Bowser, and Bowser Jr. all in that order. Some are good, some not so much. I just wish every character in the game had their own unique animations for hitting and pitching. It's unfortunate because I'd love to see what Petey Piranha's star swing would look like.
I like how you used the character specials in their respective stadiums and I also like how you had them facing appropriate opponents. That was a very nice touch.

One of my greatest moments in this game:
I was at bat with Wario, and Bower was pitching. He threw one of his Bullet Bill balls at me, and I countered it with Wario’s Bob-omb swing!
Bowser’s star pitch is called the Killer Ball, and Wario’s star swing is called the Phony Swing.
After Luigi's star swing hit Waluigi, Boo was like "Do I really have to touch that? I don't want to!"

Daisy’s pitching special is actually quite cruel. It taunts you by thinking you can still hit the ball but it doesn’t go very far at all.
Not only that, it's a 'Can of Corn'. Easy to catch.
Daisy, Bowser Jr., Yoshi, and both the Wario Bros. Pitches are just there to piss you off since you either
A. Can't get your bearings for the pitch.
Or
B. You hit it but it punishes you in a way that's overkill levels of brutal

When peach did here swing everyone in the building was effected by it except king.k.rool because he has no heart

@Kamden Silver the effect has low range tho , thats why luigi was instantly affected when he was near it but Daisy wasnt, it only affects males at short range.

Affects all male characters, doesn’t affect Baby Peach, Daisy, Baby Daisy, Birdo, Dixie, Tiny or Noki because they’re all female
Donkey Kong punches a ball because he can.

This game and Mario Strikers were amazing back on the wii day. I used to play them a lot. Since Mario Strikers is finally getting a sequel after so many years, I hope this game gets a sequel too

After Peach used her star swing, I can't tell if Luigi was infatuated by her or Daisy running by.
Foolish Banana Daisy, Baby Peach, Baby Daisy, Toadette, Dixie Kong, Tiny Kong, Birdo, Noki and female Miis are immune to Peach's hearts so it was Luigi
Good point. Peach's star swing doesn't affect female fielders. It only affects males.
Jasmine Johnston finally, the gender of a noki is revealed! i kind of knew they were girls, but they’re description says “a speedy ‘guy’ with decent power to boot” but i’ll take your word if they don’t get affected!
However, that was a crazy coincidence! XD
I hope if they remake this, that's changed because not everyone has to be straight. Either let the girls get hearts too, or just don't have the heart thing.

Peach's batting and pitching (I like that she kisses the ball in her pitch, and that she draws a heart in her batting animation), Daisy's batting (I like the little garden and fence that appears on the ground where the ball will land) and Birdo's pitch, I like that she actually sucks the ball, Nintendo needs to use her suction abilities more
Mario’s bat is on fire! His star swing is the Fire Swing that he sets his bat on fire to bat the ball into a fireball that burns down the other team players.
It’s a crime that nobody talks about this game.

How to counter each Star Hit / Swing
Mario: If you do a dive at the right moment the character can go through the Fireball and catch the ball
Luigi: Basically the same
Peach: Female characters aren't affected by the love ball
Daisy: Floating characters can go inside the Flower field
Yoshi: It's impossible to describe how to catch this one because it really depends on the luck you have with the egg bouncing
Birdo: Really easy one to catch you can catch it blindfolded lol, just avoid the Egg and dive to the ball like normal
Wario: You can attack the Bomb with good timing and if there is an outfielder next to you he will be able to catch it
Waluigi: Same as Yoshi's
DK: Ok this one is basically just impossible to catch consistenlly
Diddy: This one isn't too hard just try to follow the ball to catch it
Bowser: Same as Mario's
Bowser Jr: Same as Daisy's but for this one with perfect timing you can buddy jump and catch the ball even tho it's pretty hard
