Good job bro, I have to do this as our pump is only putting out 25 PSI on a 40 60 switch, so it basically never turns off. It's been down there for 30 years so I can't complain but quotes around here were $6000 + yikes, my car isn't even worth that.
Having the same problem on our homestead ranch. Found your channel while looking up DIY well pump replacement. Thanks for posting this, i have a good idea what im getting myself into now 🤣
As a well mechanic for 7 years, you should of replaced the pipe with flex pipe...you are vulnerable to that pipe breaking in the well as it looked like it was sch40 pvc
I live on a homestead, hay how many times can I say homestead I'm so full of myself. Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead Homestead
@@Homesteadhow lol you Jack ass. I live in the contrary too, I don't think I have ever referred to my home as homestead once except when I was talking about the old house foundation out in the corn field, Those where homesteaders we are just tourist getting to live with all the modern convinces that they would have died for.

Good luck, let us know if you have any questions 😉
Thanks so much. I needed to learn all about this. 👍
I'm very interested in well pumps not because I am a plumber but because we are becoming homesteaders
Basically it would be good to make an A frame with a clamp

Very cool video!
It is interesting to learn about wells. I wonder if you could have used a engine hoist to jostle that part into place.
Great idea! I consider a ladder as an aframe...something mechanical was needed!
Thank you for sharing this. What would your options be if you lost power?
Ibc rain water backup. Too deep to manually pump
We have solar panels, a solar charge controller, batteries and a 240V inverter to make sure we always have power.
The motor capacitor is to protect it from inrush power
Yep hydraulic crane lift on truck or trailer, great to put on a wish list huh 😅
So I am a plumber but never worked on wells..so if your switch is short cycling there is an issue somewhere?
Yes.. if the pump is running too often (more than it should) your pressure switch may need replacing
I don’t have the stupid box on the wall someone sold you a bunch stuff you don’t need. 🤦🏼♂️. Watch H20. For the correct well stuff.
Moral of the story... better to have someone with the right equipment do it.
