    I got the same set about a year ago, still holding strong. The only thing it's missing is 1 ³/16. I have milwaukee stuff , I agree with your purchase

    I have the Neiko 3/4 set and 1/2 deep socket set. To help read my impact sockets, I used a milwaukee white paint pen to fill in the the size that is punched in. After it dries, I use acetone to remove the excess paint. Works great for me as that laser etching will eventually rub off. I have quite a bit of Neiko stuff and love all of it!

    I have the same socket set as an everyday technician. The sockets are amazing. The only piece that broke was the 1/2 to 3/8 adapter. I bought a snap on adapter and use these everyday. Well worth the money

    The foam piece belongs on the top part of the inside of case as a cushion so the sockets don’t rattle around.

    This video got recirculated so i feel it’s best to share. After almost 3 years of mobile mechanic abuse gotta say this was an amazing buy and no regrets. Etching is starting to fade and thats the only thing going wrong but it still has the engraved so it doesnt matter , it has every socket i could ever need and i always bring it with me wherever i go. Haven’t broken any sockets. The ONLY THING THE ONLY THING!!! The box is so got damn abused its being held by one clip all 3 lateches broke or fell off and its being held by the 1 black latch. Working on getting a new compact low profile case made for it but thats the only flaw.

    They have to be that thick because chrome vanadium is weaker than chrome-moly steel. Chrome-moly impact sockets are the better choice all-around. I looked at those on Amazon but decided against those and went with Sunnex, which are a few dollars more, but use chrome-moly. Chrome-moly doesn't have to be as thick either, so there's a weight savings as well. But, it's all a matter of being satisfied with the purchase. If they're just going to be used once in a while and mainly stay in the garage, those will probably be just fine.

    Hey did you ever do a follow up review on this tool set after using them? I'm considering a "starter" set of impact sockets to use with my new 1/2" impact. Any thoughts on this set or would you recommend it now after using them would be great 👍! Thx

      Get em. It's a big mamma jamma set and it's on sale for 112 on amazon right now. I did and I'm impressed. Nice black phosphate finish, big laser etched numbers, and stamped in case the laser wears off. The case is beefy too. Plus the tools are set in the bottom so you don't have to fight the blowmolding to pry out a socket. The cases where sockets are on the lid and have to be pressed into the blowmold are a nightmare because you wrestle to get them out, and if they loosen up all the sockets will fall out when you open the lid. Anyways, the Neiko set is really nice.

    I have the Chrome 3/8 set SAE/Metric. Pro: Neiko (brand tool line) company is based in USA. No Skipped socket sizes, Very well marked, Made in Taiwan vs some other regions. Looks to be made by one of the large Tool factories that also make some other companies quality stuff. ASIN certified. Neiko has held up well on some of the online tool tests. You get a lot for the price. Neg: No up front warranty, but a Contact us and we will try to make it right pledge. Then again, I have seen some "Limited Life Time Warranties" that are just junk and make bad relations and bad brand immage with customers. As of now, I am very happy with my tools and will be looking to add more to the tool chest.

    Gotta qeustion those deep well sockets are they actually deep well or they just not deep as they look like the Pittsburgh sockets from harbour freight?

  • @ViperMods_216
    @ViperMods_216 3 года назад +4

    Rebranded sunex from what I've read. That's probably why it looks so good.

    • @motov8-garage832
      @motov8-garage832 3 года назад +9

      Theres no way those are rebranded sunnex. If you notice in the video his sockets say chrome vanadium, now go look up real sunnex sockets, there chrome molly. Chrome molly is what you want for impact sockets. Chrome vanadium is harder and more prone to cracks and there not good on the impact wrench and even its anvil. The chrome molly sockets also always cost just a little bit more then sockets like these and harbor freights chrome vanadium impact sockets. Do some reading before buying impact sockets there not all the same. You can get great chrome molly impact sockets from gearwrench or sunnex, grey neumatic for just a little bit more then these cheap cr-v sockets. In my opinion it's worth it. They're not so hard on the tool and the metal there made of works better with impacts making them more efficient.🤷‍♂️

    • @dtester
      @dtester 3 года назад +2

      @@motov8-garage832 While what you say it true, CR-V isn't automatically bad. They are fine as long as they are proper heat treated to be used as an impact socket. The fact they can be made thinner can be useful when a thick socket can't fit. Just make sure to go with a reputable company.

    • @motov8-garage832

      @Carlo Monte me personally I got a big set of 3/8 sunnex impact sockets to take advantage of the 3/8 stubbys compactness. Sunnex has the cheapest but yet great quality socket sets your gonna find, I forgot the exact sets name right now but it was around 220$. And as far as 1/2 impact sockets I got a couple cheap harbor freights sets metric and standard as I dont use them all that often. For really big 1/2 stuff I still use a neumatic impact honestly. The stubby surprised me thou and takes off 99% of lugnuts and whatever else I need. I got all the different types of m12 batteries, 2.0, 3.0,4.0 and the 6.0 and I will say the 6.0 puts out a bit more power and alot more battery longevity so i recommend getting you atleast one. All that said I did also get a 3/8 to 1/2 adapter for when I want to use 1/2 sockets on the stubby just because it's super handy.

    • @motov8-garage832
      @motov8-garage832 3 года назад

      @Carlo Monte pretty much, but it gets iffy when you get into suspension. Alot of those are coroded/rusted. I ran into lugnuts one time that a shop had way over torqued and it took a bit longer with the stubby then I would have liked to hammer on it but it did get it. I only had the 4.0 battery at that time also thou.

    • @motov8-garage832
      @motov8-garage832 3 года назад

      @Carlo Monte Yea definitely first the 3/8 stubby and then second the 3/8 ratchets for automotive.

    Great video! However when it comes to impact sockets I would rather have Chrome molly than Chrome Vanadium steel. Molly is way stronger 💪 less prone to shattering. U get what u pay for!
