I was there too...my 2nd show of the tour. I was right in front of Kurdt. Incredible show! Thanks to Kurdt for bringing Mike Howe back! The new album is amazing! Long live Metal Church!
I was there. that's my big head at the start of the video. The show was incredible! I waited 30 years to see these guys. It was well worth it! Mike sounded AMAZING!!!
+Dave Wheeler Same here Dave. I saw the show in PA but, I too waited a long time to see these guys. (32 years) Was over 2 weeks ago and I still think I'm dreaming that I got to see them. Not to mention the bonus of meeting them and getting their autographs after the show. I'm STILL in high heaven! Been a major fan since their beginning. I took some short videos from the show. Check 'em out. They are not real clear videos, but, you get the idea when viewing :/ Was in tears of joy a few years ago when I heard Mike was coming back, he's an incredible artist, as so is the whole band! Been watching and waiting all that time to make sure I didn't let them get away without me seeing them this time. Drove 6.5 hrs to see it and was worth EVERY SINGLE BIT OF IT!!!
Mike and myself went to grade school and high school together so sad he passed away bur we will always have his music and the memories rest in peace Mikey
Thanks so so SO much for posting this!! Got to see the show in Pittsburgh but didn't get as great of video as this. Metal Church... the best thing to happen to Earth!
Saw them with Armored Saint in Corona, CA on June 3rd. GREAT EVENING!! SEEING MC AGAIN on September 24 in a small bar in Costa Mesa. Looking forward to it!!
puts ronnie to shame. great video. drum tone was great....I saw this with Mr Wayne on vocals. very fortunate. trouble...metal church and kingdiamond....run to the light. the dark and abigail tour. then I saw Mike and the boys with blessing...which should be played in its entierty
Metal Church's guitarist had to have eye surgery right before the tour started, they got Chris Caffery from Trans Siberian Orchestra/Savatage to fill in during his recovery.
I thought that was Chris Caffery! Jeff Plate on drums too, right? That’s two members of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra performing with Metal Church! Awesome!!
@@michaelshields7777 here’s a fun trivia tidbit Who else from the Trans Siberian/Savatage orbit contributed to Metal Church? Paul O’Neil founder of TSO co-wrote has writing credits on 1991s human Factor record one song that comes to mind off the top of my head was Conductor
The true rightful owners of that number 4 spot in the big four. This is actual good thrash. Not that gimmicky anthrax shit (except for their first album).
I wasn't sure what to think when I first noticed Mike Howe singing Beyond The Black. (Maybe I thought nobody could do it as well as David Wayne?) But wow... Howe aced it, and can still sing just as well with a sinister voice live as he can in the studio! And Kurt Vanderhoof on lead guitar? It's amazing to think he was the rhythm guitarist when Metal Church first recorded this song! The crowd looks like a good one, too!
Before I forget... I'm glad Mike Howe is much more respectful of people's cell phones than Geoff Tate! (When Tate came to my town, I should have taken one of my old cell phones to the show, and thrown it at him.)
LisaJDee I realize that. I noticed it when you zoomed in and the sound quality changed. Still, the wide-angle sound and video were both awesome. My Samsung Galaxy S5 is horrible with the sound in concert venues. Yours was great!
+Bobdroidx I think in my excitement over being so close that when I zoomed in, my finger covered my mic a bit. I am new to this phone and had a few beers. Bad combo. Thanks for watching!
+Phantasm2Cuda ahaaaa...all right! yeah a read about Rick eye, but i didnt know who is replacement. Tha was Chris from Savatage? Its been years and years since i last time i take Savatage cd. Chris is badass! it will be great if he colud be a ful time member. Anyway...thnx for your info!
Ronny Munroe sang beyond the black so much better than Howe, see him un wacken 2005. I love metal Church but i dont like Howe Sorry. David Wayne and Ronny Munroe were the best.
I'm truly glad that so many have enjoyed this video. Metal forever, my fellow mortals!

Badass track!! They sounded fantastic at this venue. Rest In Peace Mike Howe. “Will we make it back…Beyond…..”
I have seen them at the Penny Arcade in Rochester NY back in the early 80's and every show was amazing.
Damn, Mike Howe sounds great. Not bad quality for a camera phone.
He sounds even better live! \mm/
RIP Mike Howe!!
We are absolutely devastated. Rest In Peace, Mike.
Such a shock! 😣

Great show last night! You wouldn't happen to have the footage from when they played "start the fire"?

That was a great show! Sadly, I didn't get that song, though. Thanks for watching!

Mr. Howe nails this one!

GOFLuvr Ronny Munroe can sing this song like David Wayne see him in wacken 2005.
I've only heard David Wayne and the second guy. But I was shocked this Mike Howe has the voice to compete. Kudos!
Mike Howe WAS the second singer in Metal Church after David Wayne left.
Jeremy Slater yeah I now have the math right. I thought Howe was the third stringer
@@jerryleckenby9591 Ronnie Munroe was Metal Church 3rd singer 04-14

Howe
Wayne (returned for 2000s masterpiece album)
Munroe

In that order
Such a small space for such a big band.
I love it.
