Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe know that Steve Rogers is one of a kind. . .or is he? This hero experienced time travel at numerous points during “Avengers: Endgame,” and we saw him co-existing less than peacefully with his past self at the Battle of New York. So were there multiple versions of Captain America existing simultaneously on the MCU timeline? Some fans seem to think so, and even the writers confirmed that’s what they were going for. Even if he stayed in the background while his crime fighting friends saved the day again and again, we’ve still seen evidence of his existence thanks to Peggy Carter. Was Steve Rogers the mysterious husband we learned about in “The Winter Soldier?” We’ll go over the evidence supporting this theory and how this hero could have lived knowing what was going to happen with the Mad Titan Thanos in the future. Old Cap may have gone on quite the journey without ever leaving his primary timeline or informing any of his friends.
What do you think about the legitimacy of this particular fan theory? Do you think there were really two versions of this legendary hero this whole time or is that just way too far-fetched for you to believe? It makes sense, Peggy, being agent, was good a keeping secrets and she could have easily created a new identity for Steve. I agree that it must have been hard to let history happen without interference but Cap understands strategy and sacrifice to achieve the final outcome.

His return to the past to live out his life with Peggy was his idea of retirement, imo. He knew their was another him out there and knew how things would go, so he had no reason to get involved a second time.

LoL
Watched Black Widow last night and a line from the Red Guardian struck me. When he was arm wrestling he said in 1986 or something along those lines he fought a great battle with Captain America, the guy he was sitting with noted that Captain America was still on ice at that time. Leading me to believe he had fought with the Captain after he had returned to the past and was living his life with Peggy.
it was likely Isaiah Bradley
now thanks to Loki, I think I believe this theory cause the TVA said what they did was supposed to happen so that would include steve going back to Peggy. So I do believe Steve was Peggy's husband the whole time and that him going back to her was always supposed to happen to not make a branched timeline.
So when the two Captain America’s were fighting, a third may have been watching.
That thrid cap probably pretty old by that time but I know for sure he can watch them fight all day.

That was the plan but sadly since he passed they didn’t do it :(
Due to the first clip, you should already know that Peggy’s “mysterious husband” was Steve. He is depicted in said movie dancing with her. He went back to her time. He didn’t make a new time period, the TVA would have brought him in for that.

Peggy saying "You came back" and "Youre so young" can now be seen as her referencing that he DID come back and they got married.
But for me it goes down to the fact that cap did not arrive in the teleporter they were expecting him, he was already in their universe, waiting by the lake means that he did not alter the timeline but chose not to return by Pym particle. With Cap in the MCU doing rogue superhero stuff that he knew the avengers never handled, would also explain why the Red Guardian swears he fought Cap at some point in the 90s, which they made a big deal out of Cap being in the ice at the time.

I also think its possible that Steve knew going back in time to return the stones he would know where his friends were on the day he went back so he could be there as his old self after living his life with Peggy to go and see them again. I make this comment now after all the other shows have aired and we know more about time loops and variants and different things.

Have you ever thought that in 50 years we are gonna be able to see how accurate was this CGI aging on Chris Evans?
mule vpn what’re you talking about?? DeNiro, Pachino, Freeman, Betty White, etc etc etc
@mule vpn HAHA, nice comeback.... very logical
Very little of it was CGI, the bulk of it was actual makeup effects and considering it made Chris' own mother cry when she saw him in the full make up, because it made him look like a spitting image of his late grandfather, I'd say the makeup wizards at Marvel Studios did a damn good job of giving us a pretty accurate idea of what Chris is going to look like when he gets old.

This discussion is so weird that you will soon realise that it means during captain fighting another captain in new york, there were total 3 Captain America
I think that was in a diffrent timeline
Unless the captain America from that time line did the same thing our did
Cap had to return the infinity stones though, so that’s why there would be 3 caps in that New York timeline. Maybe even more, depending on how many time loops there are
@@secretchicken14 If he went back to return the stones and THEN went back to agent Carter, there would be 4. If het went back to agent Carter and kept the stones only to return them when that time has come, there would only be 3
Well, it also depends on what timelines the Agent Carter happened in. But true
the question now is: when did cap married agent carter? before or after he returned the stones? i wonder... 🤔
He was definitely there. He knew everything would be fine so he didn’t do anything big. I mean we all know he probably saved a couple babies from burning buildings but that’s all. It really shouldn’t be a question
He couldn't do anything because Thanos wins in 14,000,604 other timelines.

Another thing is when he decided to stay back in his original time with Peggy he knew that the others, including himself, the one we watched fight Thanos and save the world from every thing else, would win and save the world. to prevent anyone to know or who he is
rememeber, hydra is everywhere and they watch every move
Ay AyAy Ay Ay Ga a
I
I love how old cap smiles
I aggressively choose not to try to figure things like this out. Hurts my brain, but happy Steve got his happy not ending
Cap kissing Sharon didn't seem awkward to Sam but Natasha saying hi to Bruce who returned two years later on earth(not in any romantic mood in a world catastrophe)seemed awkward to Sam😂🙄
In civil war at Peggy’s funeral, there’s a old man holding her coffin and he looks pretty similar too the old Steve
Would love to see what really happened hopefully they do a movie or serie
Why i'm feeling the urge to cry when i find my steve gets old 😭😭😭i dont want my cap to go away..he really nailed it
So no one gonna talk about when they travelled back New York Battle Event, there are actually 3 Steve Rogers in that current time.
Future Steve, Past Steve, and Future-Past Steve.
Dont forget when they jumped back to 1970 where Cap saw his Picture on Peggy's Desk. So Frozen Cap, Retired Cap, Future Cap and Returning Stones Cap.
@@brucedoyle4055 Okay. Now my brain is trembling!
@@brucedoyle4055 Wait no...still 3 capsicle, old cap, 2023 cap...EXCEPT...cap goes back to return the stones so yeah 4
@@brucedoyle4055 great man ! Now i have to reprocess my MCU timeline .
@@marcolara5433 retired old cap is the same as stones returning cap
“Now that’s America’s Ass” 😂 best line in endgame
Correction: "In the world"
Theglubgogubgoga ah yes so true
For a second I thought you were a build a bear
Manny Acosta damn you don’t have to do
me like that😂🤣💀
Tayshaun TPD for one it’s “I am Iron Man”. There is no and. Also I think Avengers assemble from Endgame is the best line.
I like that the actor playing Jarvis is the same as from Agent Carter tv series
In captain America the first avenger , the scene where Steve rogers(young one) carries Peggy’s coffin you can see an old man in the background holding the coffin with him though pretty far away and he even looks presumably like the old Steve rogers in endgame
if he was in a different dimension he would come back through the time machine, but he just appeared on that bench like he lived his whole life on the sidelines just waiting for the exact day to show up and reveal himself...
Precisely. You have made the ultimate valid point.
It’s because he closed the alternate dimensions created by returning the stones and closing them which brought him to his original reality
@@evangrentz4691 but he dated peggy which would create a time paradox would it not
Yes. I don’t know why people feel the need to make it more complicated than it is. He didn’t have to “come from” another timeline. There is only the one timeline. And for more than 70 years, it had two Steve Rogerses in it - one who was frozen in ice for most of that time, then to be thawed out, before spending a few years being Captain America again in the 21st century, and finally to disappear completely, and another who spent those 70 years keeping a very low profile in order to fuck up the time continuum as little as possible, avoiding people who might recognise him, and presumably living under an assumed name as Peggy’s husband.
@Akshay 18 It has nothing to do with Back to the Future. That was a conversation about changing history. You alter history and you create a branch reality. But there is no history being changed here. You’re just over-complicating something that is simple, elegant and which works logically and narratively.
Anyway, the screenwriters have confirmed that that was their intention - though why we needed them to do so when it was completely obvious is beyond me.
This is why Thor’s Axe and Hammer always comes back to him. Steve was always there, throwing it to him.
Yeah nice copied comment shut up mate

70 years in the ice : totally fine and young
60 years with wife : old
I was half expecting old cap to be/look like Stan Lee given all the cameos. It'd make sense that he'd just be having a good time watching the avengers throughout their journeys since, you know, he was aware of the when and where.
When you wake up at 6am and then you close your eyes about 5 second and u wake up again and its 3pm
You: TIME TRAVEL!
Literally me every morning... alarms goes on 7:00 but I always get tired and close my eyes for 5 secs then wake up it’s 12:00 PM
🤣🤣
Ahahaha it's a win win.
Old Steve Rogers was the pallbearer for Peggy Carter, he was at the rear and to the left. Yeah, it's just that simple.
Yo did you know old Steve is the old guy carrying the uhhh what’s it called the grave box thingy
Remember in Endgame how Antman accidently emerged as a younger self when they were initially experimenting with the Quantum Realm? Now imagine if they deliberately did that with the old Steve Rogers.
Huh.....did they accidently invented immortality?
Actually he was supposed to time travel but time travelled through him .
@@dejavu4029 exactly. There's no reason the elderly Steve Rogers can't become younger.
@@finnheisenheim8274 indirectly, yes.
They were trying to write him out.
