Great reveal as always. After reviewing your submissions, I would highly recommend grading the majority all of the 1972 Topps cards you pulled from that unopened box. (obviously hold off on any severely off centered or gum stained cards) Commons go for big money! Mid grade cards PSA 6 and higher are always in demand for high end set builders.
THANKS AGAIN FOR WATCHING. GOOD MINDS.....MY 1972 PSA ORDER WAS RETURNED AND I HAVE THE VIDEO IN THE PROCESS OF BEING UPLOADED TO RUclips. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO SHARE THIS WEEK. I HAVE 286 VINTAGE CARDS - ALL THOSE 1972's AND EARLIER CARDS. I'M EXCITED TO SHARE THAT VIDEO SOON AND I'M SURE YOU WILL ENJOY. CHEERS
OC - Off center MC - Misscut ST - Stain/usually wax MK - Mark like pen/writing PD - Very old qualifier, for print defects and have not seen that one in many years. PSA Has a chart that shows the definitions. Years ago the "qualifiers" would always be noted. For example: 75 Brown for example got a 5, most likely a 7 with the OC designation so now PSA has left qualifiers up to the graders discretion to give you a "straight" grade or add the qualifier. Very possible at my quick glance that is what happened to that 75 Brown you showed. And if selling or buying the card community has commonly accepted a 2 grade decrease for value. So if you have a 7 with a qualifiers, many will say price it as a 5. Hope that helps.
Over the start of his channel, people may be critical and need to remember that people can do what they want with cards and money. We all grade cards for various reasons. Thanks for sharing!
Much appreciated! Yep, this is a journey for me and my family and I'm happy to share with our collecting community. Also, I'm partially going through this exercise to help me or my family (hopefully decades from now), that when it's time to sell my collection, we have a good value/record-keeping. I suspect PSA fees will only increase in the future and we know very few people will pay to grade these cards I've graded as the prices keep rising. So who knows, maybe there will be some recouped value in the future for these slabbed cards. Until then, I'm having fun and that's what it's all about. Thanks for watching and I've got some better stuff that I will be posting in the near future!
This is my era too. My mom threw all my cards away when I got out of school and went to Japan for a couple years. When I got back home at 21 years old, they were gone. Started collecting again in '86 through early 90's for my daughter's college fund, but that didn't work out. Divorce and life happened but did dabble in it again. Now I'm trying to liquidate some stuff so I can purchase some from my younger days that my mom disposed of. Love seeing these cards, but lower condition raw cards are fine not to grade and spend that money on other cards to add to your collection. Anyway... Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing your story and watching my videos. We truly have a special hobby and it's great being able to reflect on those years in the past. There is something special about getting back into this hobby and I'm enjoying it sharing it with others. Cheers
@@BeeKeeperSportsCards-sr2mz your sure right about that. Alot of great players have come and gone since I started in the hobby way back then. Keep having fun
@gumpking8515 I agree. I'm not one of those guys who normally has an issue with how someone else spends their money, but it is clear from his other videos that he really doesn't understand centering and surface grades.
@@matrixcmitech HA....I've gotta approach this with a bit of humor. Yep, I've made some goofy decisions for sure, but I'm having fun - that's what it's all about. Maybe my experience will help others avoid some mistakes.....nevertheless, it does put a smile on my face reliving my younger days, so that's worth the price of admission for me. Thx for watching. Cheers
😀 Thx for watching. I can appreciate your observation. I probably would have held many of these back, but I'm learning and hopefully others can learn from my submission. Regardless, it's fun getting back into the hobby I once loved. It's more of a passion than for profit....but I'm trying to get better at this grading game. Cheers

My advice, stop submitting cards to PSA until you get more experience. $2500 is a lot to spend on commons that come back as PSA 4 and 5.
This was hard to watch honesty but was glad to come on here and see he was doing this for fun

This guy has graded 1000's of mediocre cards... And we all get a laugh LOL when he slabs oc mis-cut cards!! Comedy Gold!!

Is it worth spending $18 per card on so many borderline players?
That 1977 Nolan Ryan PSA 8 is really nice sells on ebay @ $200 in that Grade......
Thanks for sharing
Money to Burn....
So many of these cards shouldn’t have been sent for grading… common and bad condition
Wish I had your money to grade cards. On my channel I been finding older ones from my grandfather. Just don't know their worth.
Honestly don’t understand grading cards that are worthless , even being your favs ? Unless you got deep pockets !

Unless common cards are top notch , not worth the cost of grading . SGC is less expensive than PSA and SGC are excellent graders .
