These are great tips and things to think about!!! Full time travel is a whole-nother world!!! We “practiced” with our girls too before we did a full year of fulltime travel. We traveled for the summers a couple times before going for a longer time and that really helped with the transition. Something that was a surprise to me was that fulltime travel is not a vacation at all! It was more work than our 9-5 jobs. It’s a beautiful life but not an easy lifestyle by any means! We love to stay flexible with our travel plans too!! You never know which places you’ll really like and want to explore more! Such a beautiful life! You offered a great perspective! When you live in the moment, you make the best decisions for that moment!! And yes, slow down and take breaks!!!! And something that really helped me was when my husband told me I had to “redefine my comfort zone.” When I started seeing it from that perspective, I really settled in to the travel lifestyle! I could listen to you guys all day! Love the Aussie accents! 😂🙌 Have a good day guys!!
Ohh thanks Guys! We seem to have very similar philosophies on travel and I agree it’s not a vacation but a wonderful life! We love following your travels as well!
Hi guys, We really enjoyed your clip excellent info. Our situation is very similar to yourselves. We pick up our 1st van on Friday. We want to travel full time. We are in our mid fifties. How long are you planning to do it for? Enjoying your Tassie clips. Take care, Mick & Jodie from the Gong
Thanks so much, you made my day! We have now been on the road for about 18months and really hoping to continue for as long as Cain’s health allows. However, we will need to stop and work at a few spots.
in 91 we went for a trip with our kids from the sunshine coast to vic we arrived on philip island just before christmass when we were told the price i gasped well you take the cake you are nearly twice the price we paid in any park in the past and to our surprise he dropped the price 25%
Thanks for the tips. Hadn’t even realised that my driver’s licence will need to be renewed while we are away. At least I have time to sort it out before we are on the road.
