ESSENTIAL EXTRAS: Unlocking the Ultimate Caravan Travel Experience! #travelaustralia #caravanlife
My old home town. Ballarat get a hard time about the weather but it’s a great city to experience some amazing history from the golden past.
Another great video. Very smart idea to catch train.
Aysons Reserve was the old field days site, fantastic free camping on the Campaspe River. And there’s still a lot of gold in Bendigo. You need to go back and spend some time around Bendigo, there is so much to see and do in this city! Understatement of the video about Ballarat ‘it’s cold’. It’s always bloody cold there! Great vid.
Haha yes we didn’t believe everyone when they said how cold Ballarat was, we do now! And we are definitely putting Bendigo on our list to go back to!
Go the LIONS!
🦁🦁
Hello to you, both those little black grasshoppers are called Crickets in Victoria , make the noise by rubbing their back legs together. Keep up the great content, guys. Thanks as well for visiting my hometown of Bendigo
Oh thanks for that! And we loved Bendigo, next time we will plan to stay there!
Doodle dash cam! 😂
😂😂😂
Looks like Johnson cam is lining up that mud patch over there
😂😂
Which locations are best for taking a walk in the forest area and maybe watch Brumbies or Deers?
Long plain hut or 3 mile dam are the best places to see Brumbies, dingoes and possibly (we didn’t see any) deer. However unfortunately NP are culling the Brumbies and there are less of them around now.
Looks good guys!🙌🏾 you can never have too much power!🤙🏽
Thanks, that’s what we thought! More power is better!
Grab one😂
Mmmm no thanks!
Checking in😂
😂😂 bit late now!
Beautiful. I just love the Murray. So peaceful. Except when the cockys arrive. lol
Oh those Cockies are ridiculously loud! But definitely one of our favourite rivers!
Another great video. I was a bit confused with the flag on the Pevensey.
I believe the flag was the Upper Murray River flag. They told us about it but we didn’t catch it on camera.
I’m going on the spirit of Tasmania in January 2025 and this was a good video for me
So glad it was helpful. Have an AMAZING time!
Don’t talk to me about irresponsible men ,what about you women ? My bride went to a do at an Army boozer with $20 saying she wouldn’t be there that long, I woke up at 8am the next morning,no bride. After waiting and trying to phone her with no response,I drove over to the boozer worried that something bad had happened to her, only to find her out the back in the beer garden with a heap of her mates still drinking and she had a whatever attitude to go with it . I told her to just stay there and get a room and move in and live there from now on . At the time I had no money and nothing but bills to pay or I would have packed up and buggered off . To this day she is still on wood and I don’t hesitate to stay as long as I want when ever want and don’t let her know anything about what when where or why and truly couldn’t care less whether she likes it or not. What goes around comes around.
😂😂
Nug Nug is brilliant. Only advice I can give people new to the area, is do not get a site under the elm trees, because if they have elm leaf beetles they will crap all over your tent. van, awning or car and it is difficult to get off. Also the track you walk to swim in the awesome waterhole in the Buffalo River is notorious for tiger snakes. Not a problem if you keep your eyes open for them. Beautiful spot. Just keep an eye on your kids.
Thank you for those great tips! We have never heard of elm leaf beetles.
Guilty as charged 😂😂
😂😂😂
Awesome episode guys! Jez had to do his licence before he left even though it wasn’t due but would’ve expired on the road. QLD transport were ok with doing it super early!!🤙🏽
Smart work checking! We didn’t even think about it. We did wonder if you could do it early.
@@hapninemptynesters yeah we gave them the whole spiel about being on the road and they were good about it and gave me a temporary one on a piece of paper until the real one was printed out and sent. 🤙🏽
Thanks for sharing that might really help someone else! Safe travels!
use synthetic oils they work better and wont be used up as mineral oils do and last two and a half times longer
Thanks, Cain said ours is a semi synthetic. He said we need a thicker oil as our cruiser is getting a bit older.
Great vid.. One day.....
Thanks! You will get there! Can’t wait to meet you around the campfire one day!
Best thing you suggested, get rid of state governments and while your at it add councils, just snouts in the trough
We have really found since travelling that states just divide our country. It is almost like travelling to a different country.
I'd love to side with you Cain but I'm going to have to side with Katrina on this one. My wife stresses out about me too.
Thanks! I’m sure I need a gps tracker on him!
Why don't you get the wifes number next time U are up there... U should moved his paddle board somewere he couldn't find it... 😂😂😂or get him a water proof alarm to say call your wife or get home....😢😢😢
Great ideas! I especially like the one about moving the paddle board!
Shittest channel i have ever had the misfortune to come across.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on our RUclips.
7:32 Drop ya guts
Haha I knew someone would catch Cain out! Of course it was you 😂😂😂
buy Katrina a morse code kit and when she works out how to use it she can show you Cain and then you'll check in. hahahaha where is this camp it looks good
Haha I love your idea!! This camp was at Barmah Lakes just outside Echuca. We will explore the area in next week’s episode.
Cool ep guys
Thanks! We appreciate you watching and commenting! ❤️
Yewh!!
👋
Dude is that at wy yung 😂😂
😂
Yum! Cold baked bean sandwiches are good too!
Ewww! You and Cain would make great friends!
Sorry Dr Karl 😂
@@hapninemptynesters everybody needs good neighbours! When neighbours become good friends! 😂 (I bet you sung that in your head!) 😝
@GrabLifeByTheGourlays 😂😂😂Yes!! Now it will be stuck there!
I’m victorian and I stay on my side of the road You know what I don’t like when people go wide to turn
I admit that was a big generalisation. However it’s pretty scary when the road is narrow and vehicles are on your side of the road and travelling quite fast.
Getting around that fallen tree looked bit doggy! Bloody close to the edge.
It was definitely a bit scary but we knew the vehicles in front of us got around so we would be ok.
Such a beautiful part of the country. The waterfall was a hidden gem too.
Oh definitely! And that waterfall was AMAZING!
We were lucky to camp at Craig’s Hut a week after Easter this year. We missed the first snowfall by a couple of hrs so it was melted by the time we got up there. It was serenity and magical especially doing sunset and sunrise. I also touched the last bit of ice in Nov 2010 at the summit of Mt Buller. It’s a fantastic part of the world and can’t wait to explore the high country in full.
Oh that sounds magical! Did you camp at the campground just down from Craig’s Hut?
@@hapninemptynesters yes we did. We met fellow travellers that we then tagged along with and 4wd out to Myrtleford the next day.
@coversadventurecapers2838 That sounds so good. Not sure our van would like the road in.
@@hapninemptynesters we roofed top tented this trip. Didn’t take the van. Definitely not rds for the van. But places like where you camped are a great base to then go and explore from.
@coversadventurecapers2838 ahh that makes sense. Probably the best way to explore the high country.
👏👏👏👏👍👍👁️👁️😎😇❤️🙏
❤️🙏
Nup! Still think it's gross!
😂😂 I agree!! Cain has some interesting tastes!
Food that comes from a can is not worth being called food.
I agree most is disgusting!
I’d probably eat it if I was high
😲
Breakfast of champions
Haha of course you and Cain have similar tastes!
Great vid, guys. Love the entertainment
Thanks, we absolutely loved that area!
lol we parked in exactly the same spot as you did at Tolmie😀
Haha see it must be a great spot!
Nearly forgot the friendly stray dog that showed up and enjoyed our fire
The memories! Those dogs didn’t want to leave, the fire was too warm!
First comment 😂😂😂
Whoo number 1
Do u no da wae -ugandan knuckles
No idea
ROFLMFAO....................OMG Cain. That wrap was the most disgusting thing I think I've ever seen! Except maybe when a friend put a bowl of dog food in the microwave to keep the flies of it and her husband came home from work, heated it up and ate it. "Pal Casserole" LOL Put that on Cain's lunch list Katrina!
😂😂😂 I agree with you BUT ohhh pal casserole sounds even more horrible!
