    When we lived up there near Charters Towers we pronounced Macrossan with the emphasis on “cross” in the middle so “Mc-CROSS-n”. But that was 50 years ago. We drove down to Rocky on that road and it was sealed even that long ago so I don’t know why that section is still called a development road. Going north along it I think it’s also pretty much bitumen. The same with “”BELL-YAN-doe” for Belyando and Ca-Pell-a for Capella but once again it’s been 50 years so someone more current than me might elucidate. It was great to see that country again. Thank you.

    Be interesting to see what you think of Kenilworth Showgrounds. We think Parklands is a significantly nicer place but we are not fans of Showground camping so keen on your thoughts.
