Great video Matt! I too have been rocking the CCD sensor thing lately! Awesome shots there, the colours are great. Looks like a perfect grab and go camera! My sweet spot for most cameras are 5-16mp, large range, but I find those are the "least" popular, but have some of the best colour science. I have seen a huge increase in pricing on CCD based cameras. There are some hidden gems still out there, that have such great look! Thanks for sharing!
Love the results coming out of this camera. Canon CCD compact cameras were great. My brother had an IXUS 30 that had great output as well. There was plenty of noise at base iso already, though.
Thanks for sharing! I just looked up that IXUS 30 and I might pick one up. The price is wild for that camera too; some are 30 bucks and others are 400! The camera market is crazy right now lol
Great video. It's cool to see how to enjoy your equipment and get aside the money for a moment. I have a Fuji S4000. It's far away from being a professional câmera but damn, how i love it.
The s4000 is a cool camera! The sensor is awesome in that old fuji. I've been thinking of picking one up soon as they're a reasonable price (especially for fujifilm since they're astronomically expensive right now lol)
I tried to get to other sections of the building but it was all locked up unfortunately :( I'll be back there in the soon future lol. The g9 is a sweet camera too! I was thinking of picking one up myself!
I have one and it is a fun camera. However I have two complaints is that the Chromatic Aberration is really bad (even when compared to other cameras in its age) and the Electronic Zoom is very slow. Bridge Cameras of this era with a mechanical zoom like the Minolta DiMage A2 or Sony F828 had a leg up simply because of how slow the early electronic zoom motors were (Something that got a lot better a few years later)
I agree! I didn't realize how noticeable the CA was until reviewing the photos on my computer, but man they're there lol. I do like the size of this little lens but those cameras (especially the f828) did have a remarkable glass with a more sensible build

Nice apartment, creaky rocking chair and dark green walls, I like that.
I love your blogging style Matt! I have my Dad's old Nikon D40 and just LOVE the colors.
The d40 is certainly on my list!
Just picked up an Olympus C-7070, gonna let the G.A.S. ride and get a Powershot Pro 1 too I guess lmao
Don't let my channel trick you into gear ya don't need haha! That said, thr C-7070 does look like a cool camera and I might have to pick one up lol
That abandoned mall or whatevs in the beginning of the video was very liminal. Nice vid. I love those old ccd sensor cameras. I use a Canon G9 myself.

I’m in Duluth for a Robotics’s competition what a coincidence that I was recommended this 😅
Just saw that on the news; looks like an insanely fun event! Good luck!
