Sooo beautiful...the Cedar filled house...the Wasilla house... with blue walls thru out with huge windows and gorgeous views! Thanks for the tours...passed them onto my daughter in Salt Lake...to check them out.🙂
You forgot to mention that most homes in Anchorage, in price range of $450K have living rooms and kitchens on upper floor and not ground floor. It makes a difference for some people especially who are older. I know from experience that all our friends from lower 48th scratch their heads over this lol.
If I decide to buy a modular cabin and put it on a piece of land that I buy with out a house, whorls you recommend that and or what would be the cons of doing that
Wow! For the same rental price as an entire Anchorage home like the first three you clicked on - you'd get a 1-2 bedroom apartment of about 750 sq feet here in Amsterdam!
Just discovered your channel, and this is the sort of info I was looking for. Now, Kenai Peninsula or Mainland?? Pros and/or cons? I've heard more cons than pros but that's just been the lower 48 hearsay . I could be looking for land as soon as summer 2021, but I may push that back to 2022. OHIO to ALASKA
I know that you work primarily in the South-Central part of the State but do you have any knowledge of the rental/purchase market in the Southeast part of the State, specifically the Ketchikan area?
Buy= buy land for cheap u get lots of acres and build from a cabin to a massive lodge of ur desires, own horses, reindeer, yaks whatever or just leave it as is.
That's kind of what I'm planning. I'm going to move out there anywhere from 2-5 years I'm thinking, so might as well look into it haha. But yeah what I'm thinking is get a job in Anchorage, live somewhere between Eagle River and Wasilla/Palmer area, that general stretch. in that area buy some land and then either build a home, or get a manufactured home and put it out there
I actually just did a podcast interview with a friend who lives there and I believe we talked about the cost of living there. Here's that episode. anchor.fm/jamin-goecker/episodes/Living-at-the-end-of-the-road-in-Homer-e1gjih1
Hi, can you please give us some information for some rental and For Sale properties in a lower price range!? Something for let’s say a single guy with two big dogs.....?! I am keeping the market in that area in eye and there is homes for rent and sale a lot cheaper than $2100/month and 400K.... I understand, that higher the price is, greater the broker’s commission is, but after all not all of us can afford such payments and prices! Especially, if a person doesn’t even know when, where and what kind a job will be able to get up there. Video of this sort will be very helpful and appreciated! Thank you in advance!
Thanks for watching! As specified throughout, these are averages for the area and they are in keeping with the wages in the area (people make more in AK than in a lot of other parts of the country). I don't think that's a bad idea researching that topic though. Thanks!
funny how u called a home from 1977 old, lol, to me that feels average in age. I dont think of them being old until the 1950's. lol, u called 1974 old too
I live out past Wasilla and most of the roads weren’t even here in the 70s. Our road was build about 15 years ago and we had to pay a large sum just to get power to our lot.
For me old is anything over 100 years. My property is 123 years old but looks new on the inside and outside due to renovations .In fact my town's folks have ancesters that came on the Mayflower
Do you not like the green screen work on this one as much as I do? Give me a thumbs up! :)
Your videos have helped us SO much in our research. You are realistic and thorough. Thank you for making the content you do!!
You are so welcome!

Definitely cheaper to buy, though. Thanks for sharing.
I like option #2 with all the wood floors & back deck to hang out. I’ve been through Eagle River on the way to Fairbanks. Anchorage is awesome.
Small world! :)

Cheaper to buy than rent! Thanks for showing!
Our pleasure!

Wow! That's insane.
Yup. The purchase price: let’s not even talk about it... you can only get a 400sq ft studio (zero bedroom) for about $350k here.
about what I would expect for ampsterdam
@@jaimetana tiny studio apartment in Boston is about 600 K .Add another 150 to 200 k for one car parking

That's a great topic. Thanks for sharing! I'll have to shoot that in the near future.
$392, 000!?! I didn’t realize houses were that expensive there! Wow!
thats probally in the ghetto too
That's cheap for that area of AK
Most likely needs a complete redone
Jamin, can you give us your analysis of the Knik-Fairview area?
That sounds like it would be a good topic. Just a buy vs. rent analysis specifically looking at the Knik-Fairview area?
Precisely plus recent market trends!
Spot On!! 👌🏾
Thank you sir!

How much does is cost to heat these properties on average? Thank you.
Great question, I actually do have a video talking about the cost of living with utilities. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/FW2opYpJLyE/видео.html

How do I contact you? My wife and I are considering moving to Alaska. Flying up there soon to look at some properties.
That's exciting! 907-229-1792
I know Wasilla charges sales tax
Do I have to pay sales tax as well if I decide to buy a house in Wasilla?
Thanks
Never thought of this

It sounds strange, doesn't it?? In AK our homes are pretty new though. The state's only been around since '59 so our stuff is usually a lot newer.

@@Chris_at_Home I have to admit that's really awesome though, Alaska is a state that's still being built

@@matildesantos4215 I guarantee you all towns have ancestors that came from the mayflower, a 123 year old property is insane though
Alaska houses are very affordable
oh no your head is upside down!
