@CT Sounds hi,i need help if u could help me,I bought used subwoofer box with subwoofer and amp. Subwoofer is ground zero gzhw 30 spl. In manual says it needs 90 net liters for vented box but it doesnt say anything about the air. My box has 127 gross liters but i dont know how to caluclate it to net....
I know this is an older video but I love the quality of work you do, I have been building furniture and other projects for a while but I want to start making subwoofer boxes like this and others you build now. I am going to build one and take pictures maybe make a video and bring it to a couple sound shops and see if they want to buy my boxes and I’ll make them specifically for their clients and see what they say. As always amazing craftsmanship
I did this project myself. Man, did I get a lot of compliments on the window bracing and the 45's. The box is heavy after but I wont be moving around. Thinking of making them and selling them for a good profit
Very clean and solid Mark. Be sure to mention the importance of using new blades to cut the carpet to prevent fraying and pulling. Great work as usual!
I don't build this, what you show here but I love watching your videos. But now it's time to make one 12" sub-speaker box for my room. You use MDF wood for that box.
While I give your box building skills (from an exact blueprint) much credit, I have to say that for the basshead enthusiast, I cannot afford all of that stuff. Now, the final product was badass, and I know that it took your skills to make the final product what it eventually became (and it was an awesome box), guys like me that just want to hear some deep bass don't have all of those random tools like a table saw and router table in his garage, so we have to make due with what we can get our hands on at Harbor Freight. That being said, I am sure you know what this is like because I am sure you built your way up to using these tools and didn't start out with a nice table saw and routing table, so you can understand what I mean when I say this. Also, I'm sure that you didn't have that software that allows you to create and blueprint your own subwoofer box down to the millimeter, so you began like we all did, with a circular saw and a tape measure. I apologize if I sound like a douche bag, that was my intention, because I am trying to create a beautiful fantastic sounding sub box for two Sundown 12s from a 3/4" sheet of MDF and I dont have a CNC cutter or even a table saw. Shit, I don't even have any wood horses, just a trash can and an old rickety step ladder.
Wood horses are easy to make, and you don't need a fancy table saw or router table, a regular circular saw and jigsaw will get the job done nicely. You also don't need to do that fancy "window" brace, a couple regular old boring straight braces that connect the walls is good enough. I've gotten more advanced lately, but earlier I'd just use scrap wood for the bracing.
I'm going to attempt to build a sub box, don't really need to, but seems like a fun challenge. Different than the cabinets and tables I normally build.
CT Sounds Can ask your opinion, what is better Scoops or Enclosures as I want to buy 2 18" not sound system competition but family occasions that has medium to large size hall, thanks.
You can try this at home. I started doing this when I was 14 and I'm 16 now. I'm building a box for 4 DC Audio Level 1 12"s. So yes you can try this at home if you have the proper tools, and the knowledge of how to use them.
/b/ Tard can you help me find a design for 2 skar audio sdr 12s? they are wired to 1 ohm and are rated for 600 watts rms each but my amp is giving them 1500 watts rms. my box is way to small right now so i need help building a box
Hi CT Sounds I am Akhil and I LOVE your Videos and Subscribed your channel also I just commenting here because to say just few word's that I need to tell every time while I watch your Videos but now this time I am opening up You Know What while I watching your videos and the way you explain the way I show detailed work m loving it very hardly and deeply. All thing I feel while watching your videos is like ₹ I JUST BORN IN THIS WORLD TO JUST WATCH ALL THE VIDEOS YOU ARE UPLOADING THATS IT ₹. AND FINALLY ₹₹₹ I LOVE THE CT SOUND SUBWOOFERS I LOVED IT ALOOOTTTT. ₹₹₹. BUT m unlucky that I don't have them and even I can't buy them that's only the disappoint but while watching yours videos I feel not disappointed
I am a fan of the Hertz Hi-Energy and Millie woofers. Wouldn't mind seeing a video on these woofers not unless you already have and I haven't come across this yet :)
1, I can't afford to make a box the way he does.. 2, I'm from the UK, so even if I buy it for the many hundreds of dollars, I'll have to also pay import fees.. 3, my girlfriend would go nuts if I took all the rear space away with a sub box.. 😁 I can't win.
+NGAudio Not possible in my car lad.. Best I can hope for is a new stereo, 4 channel amp under the rear seat and 4 components.. But no sub.. And that's the one I really want the most.. 😤😩
+NGAudio Not my kind of style to do that, I've got a 2013 VW golf, Sony wx900bt.. From the UK best components I can get are the Bass Face BLACKSPL6C.1's. 1 Tweeter + woofer = 225watt RMS.. I love my 12" subs, so I'm probably going to just put in a box.. Amps under the seats and just remove the sub whenever I have to.. Bit of hassle but it's well worth it. Still in the process of getting a new alternator and sound deadening the car fully. I want this set up to be perfect for me because I'm not doing another for a loooong time.. 💪👌
i wish i saw this video before i started building mine, all i had was 2 quick grip clamps, a 90° corner clamp, a cheap jigsaw, and a palm sander. same sort of design for 2 12's and suede wrapped. easy as, dont need a router, just looks a bit shite with my suede wrap job on the edges. better than the rough plywood surfaces though
La mejor creación en cajones de subwoofer basss, muy bien realizado, excelente terminación. 👍................................. saludos a mi gente de 🇩🇴 RD.
Just an FYI. The glue itself has a stronger bond into MDF then screws ever could. By drilling into the wood you're weakening the MDF by thinning it out in that area. Almost every "Pro" box builder doesn't use screws as they all know it's the adhesive that holds it together not the nails/screws Before you question me on it. All I do is sell Wood/Glue/Screws/ ect all day every day. I've heard the same thing from carpenters, contractors ext al day for the last 8 years.
He used MDF (the best material for enclosures), the problem with this "wood" instead of any other, is that it's not screws/nail friendly, because the edges are very fragile, all the hard work to hold everything together is made by the glue.
Great Vid again Mark! Hey how do those CT Sounds 12's perform? Do they Slap like JL Audio subwoofers? I always use them as the Benchmark of car audio not hard to see why, but I've heard Great things about CT. Thanks!
Great video. I’ve tried all the links below, can’t find the instructions to make this box. I do r have social media. Can I download it directly from where? Thanks

Nice DIY Speaker Design
anybody else start watching this and start thinking " I don't know why I watch this knowing all I have is a damn circular saw" lol
thats enough to make this lol
+Fusky The Husky
And a jigsaw. Need them holes.
NGAudio ud be surprised what ive done with a circular saw XD but cricles are not easy.. lots of sand pepper and time..
i have a drill and a hammer haha
Yep! I've not seen one youtube video yet where the person does not have a table saw and router.
I'll bet that box bumped pretty good.... a sound sample would be icing on the cake.
Almost PERFECT...... But where is the CONNECTING WIRE OUTPUT...
You sealed the whole box and everyone watching this video without noticing.... Lame
True haha
i noticed it
I noticed lol
Yes he forgot to cut the wire output hole🤣🤣🤣
I destroyed so many boxes with these speakers. I had 2 tropos in the trunk of my mustang and they sounded amazing
nice...
Awesome, thats a beautifull looking box, looks strong, looks smooth, looks heavy, looks professional.
Video should be called "Buy Yourself a Router and Then Build a Ported Subwoofer Box for 2 12" Subs"
then go buy one for 60 bucks
Nice but not everyone has access to all these tools
I only have a hammer. And it was never used in the video.
you can buy a bow for your own subwoofers
yup. guess you cant build a subwoofer.
Lol. Most know that u need certain tools for certain jobs.
Real men have these tools
the best.
Thanks...when time permits might enjoy checking out our website - www.ctsounds.com.
I did this project myself. Man, did I get a lot of compliments on the window bracing and the 45's. The box is heavy after but I wont be moving around. Thinking of making them and selling them for a good profit
Jose Reyes how much wood did you have to buy?
the best box build i've ever seen. maybe i'll give box subs another shot.
Great build, keep it up. Learned a lot from you.
That's the cleanest looking subwoofer box I've ever seen
I love the tropo line very budget friendly and quality subs can't go wrong with these. Keep bringing that bass.
Air pass side should have some different paint..... Box looks awesome sir
thanks - check-out www.ctsounds.com when time permits...stay safe...

e-Zee I don't even know how that would work with car sub's
e-Zee bluetooth
e-Zee boneless
oh man...he forgo to put connections in the enclosure for wiring the woofers!!
that subwoofer box is SWEEEEEEEET💓

Great insight!! Those who think they can try this at home, *don't try this at home!!* It's won't work.
You can try this at home. I started doing this when I was 14 and I'm 16 now. I'm building a box for 4 DC Audio Level 1 12"s. So yes you can try this at home if you have the proper tools, and the knowledge of how to use them.

Anyway to get the box design. Video notes say that it is coming soon. Thanks
Nice work!
So how much does the sub box work out at once you've bought a table saw, router, nail gun, spray gun and 90% of the Mobile Solutions catalogue?
Sharkfat well if it breaks you can make more.😂
Thats really cool, Im gonna have to try an make this for my setup it looks awesome! great video.
Would love to see a dual 12" Meso Ported Setup
You didn't add any wire holes. That would have been nice to see into this box.

Put 8" or 10" woofers in the doors. Or, if its an astrovan with ceiling cabinets just put a woofer or two in those.

Satisfying af..
WOW! That was some amazing craftsmanship. I really enjoyed watching this video.
Wish I could get one of them for my son for his Birthday.
It was nice and good video
What is the tuned frequency?
no screws? I am worried it will separate on some low notes
They use Nails
+Julian Li. nails pull easier than glue
He uses titebond if I'm not mistaking, which is stronger than the wood.
