But I think your channel has taught me more than anything since the videos are easy to understand yet very detailed. @@warrenlewis3977 They just teach the basics. Which if you don’t know much it’s a good way to learn the foundation of auto body. Most of my experience and knowledge came from working in a shop as well as google. Not saying going to trade school is a waste it actually helps out. However if you have the chance to learn at a shop first instead of school I’d say go for it since they teach you more and you get experience as well since you’d be out in the field.

There’s too many guys and they just give you tools and let you loose. It was very useful to have access to basically every tool ever made short of a water jet, but basically it’s the experienced students that wind up teaching the rest. Buy a junker and start making mistakes 😂

I am mainly self taught. I went to vo tech for automatics. Started spray bombing trucks and bondo dents with my dad at 15 from stuff his older brother and family, friends taught him. I took it higher working at circuit city installing car audio, working in mechanic shops and 8 years in a body shop with o rellies paint both which sucks because have to buy their product to basically pay for it. Frame machine is a lot of work in collision work. Autobody shop is how I seen specialty tools, networking to people. Fixing plastic bumpers heat up stud melt it in till its strong then grind the studs off apply filler, prime, block. I love autobody work it keeps my anxiety low because it's a constantly busy process from start to finish. I love you videos because it's not bland autobody its more exotic like rondo interior work, kandy paint which I never done. I taught myself to paint because shop never would teach me but tractor paint did. Then went onto single stage Neeson. Schools teach basics not exotics or hacks. Like ford Laredo guys broke torque bits. I schooled them by spraying pb nut blaster tighten it a little to remove or square body 4 hours they tired bolt mirror on it just turned so hack pilot hole bigger bolt fixed. They done bodywork for years the dad, son. Poor boy DIY shade day tricks work. Like people say dont use pepper in pin hole of radiator if someone's poor gotta be at work well it stops it. I know what I wrote may sound nutty but love seeing your videos. The way it's going may be on a TV show. One man army better than the 20 man crews with millionaire dollar shops and tools

He really has not learned much of anything, between covid and supply issues, they were short on respirators, paints, guns, pretty much all required supplies. He basically learned how to prime, sand and patch sheet metal with a welder and do the required bodywork. Very little paint and clear work taught during his time there. I have him watching your channel and Pharraway, to learn more and build his confidence. Thanks for the knowledge brother.

So tru Sprayway there's nothing like hands-on experience. If you don't try it for yourself you will never know how it is. And that's with anything you do. That's why I love your channel man you're a Beast 👍🏾💯💪🏾

Bought a 1982 s10 and thanks to you my man I have fully committed to doing my first paint job. Thank you 🙏. I don’t expect it to turn out show quality but I have full confidence that I can deliver an outstanding first paint job. (I owe that to you). I love detailing cars and when it comes to car shows I’m all about the paint jobs. Most people just look at the paint. It takes a true artist to look thru it. I’m so excited. I love watching you and would love to meet you some day. Maybe bump knuckles at a car show or something✌️ take care and keep ‘em wet!💎

Make sure the sand paper scales match. Cami (American) & P (European) Example: 600 cami is same as 1200p. They are close to the same until 220. They have a chart for reference.
