I've finished putting in a motor, paint& body and custom interior in my 02 mc. I learned alot from you bro. I'll soon upload a video on it.
Ok...I'm tuned in
@@SprayWayCustoms how can I get in touch with you?
I'm definitely going to watch ⌚
Beautiful work, prep is the most important part of the painting process
Part of why I love watching you two work brother!
Pharraway you and sprayway the truth! Thanks for all the inspiration
Yes it is....that's one step you can't skip
I went to trade school about 1 year ago and honestly I didn’t learn much. Learned mostly out in a shop and watching RUclips videos. But I think your channel has taught me more than anything since the videos are easy to understand yet very detailed. So just wanna thank you for the time you put into these videos keep up the good work man. Much respect for you 👊
Spot on. Even though it is definitely valuable, all you learn in school is the basics. Putting in that work is where you pick up those nuggets of knowledge. Dont give it up.
100% correct man. I appreciate you
You didn't learn anything??
@@warrenlewis3977 They just teach the basics. Which if you don’t know much it’s a good way to learn the foundation of auto body. Most of my experience and knowledge came from working in a shop as well as google. Not saying going to trade school is a waste it actually helps out. However if you have the chance to learn at a shop first instead of school I’d say go for it since they teach you more and you get experience as well since you’d be out in the field.
@@Hgomez101 I see your point Henry. 👍
You know exactly what you're doing. Keep up the excellent work.
Thanks JD
Class is in session.. You do a great job of explaining the steps you take. The results speak for themselves.
Greatly appreciated
You’re a hard worker. You’re even harder to get contact with. Keep up the good work
Lol 😂😂That's something I have to agree with. Thanks man
@@SprayWayCustoms I contacted you last year about my 87 Monte Carlo LS. You sent me your email address but I never got in touch
I went to trade school in 2014, but I learned from the school of sprayway too. There ain’t a video on your page I haven’t watched at least twice. Really appreciate you real talk.💪👍
Appreciate that support. I'm the same way
Keep the videos comin sprayway! I learned in trade school back in 97-98. Im just now gettin back in it. Your videos are awesome bro!💪😎
Appreciate the support
@@SprayWayCustoms no prob. This is my passion man. Im just finally to the point i can pick it back up! Watchin you got me in tha game!! Big love from (soon to be) Lakeside customs! Oklahoma baby!💪😎💙
RUclips for sure. I learned the entire game from you! Southern Chevy TV Monte is about to be a huge hit.
I appreciate you fam
Trade school in 1997 and started in 2014. That talent I'm painting a 1969 Chevy bus
Yes indeed
Mr Sprayway I have a lot of respect for you the way you take the time to show us the tips, I always look forward to watching your videos I always learn a bunch thanks again for sharing the awesome content much appreciated
Thanks for the support Dean M
I’m learning how to do body work on my Monte Carlo by watching this guy 💯
I never went to school. I had a friend help me/show me how to do it. The first car I painted was black. So I learned a bunch right away. The only way you learn is by putting hands on the car. There is always room for improvement. I think painting over all in a backyard shop is far harder than a guy in a booth.
You're correct. If you can do it in the back yard you'll act a fool in a real booth
You are such a down to earth, chill guy! I feel like no matter what, anyone that mentions you follows it up by how nice and helpful you are. This world could use many more individuals as yourself! Also, your videos are great! Many props and thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thanks for the encouraging words Bolt Husky 🤝
Sprayway is a straight Gee for posting all this content. YEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Thanks H4Y
I can say glad you picked it back up and decided to share on this platform, sharing not just your knowledge but tips you learned from others... influence is spread in many forms and I truly appreciate you and a few other channels that share tips with us
Thanks for the support Bryan
I went to trade school in 1997, my pops Nem Ala Boyz in Cleveland, Oh.Always was spraying cars, detailing or beating on a house" In 2022 I would go RUclips 100% and not have a student loan. But the curriculum is what it is"
Setting up Frame machines, length sidesway, height, compatible solvents, isocyanates, etc.
But I've learned a lot from you too" that's the main thing, keep picking up new stuff and keep picking up new tools💯💯
Thanks Patrick. The support is greatly appreciated
Before you mentioned how you learned i realized I've been learning from the school of Sprayway. I've been watching for a few years now. I've been the king if single stage on cars we flip, Now I need to learn how to polish single.. Thank you.
That is awesome!
Straight up with the hard work and you’re the man given to everybody with a plan
Thanks a lot
I went to trade school for 2 years for auto body and welding. I think I learned more from RUclips. Keep in mind this was before RUclips existed lol. There’s too many guys and they just give you tools and let you loose. It was very useful to have access to basically every tool ever made short of a water jet, but basically it’s the experienced students that wind up teaching the rest. Buy a junker and start making mistakes 😂
I agree totally JV
Good information SprayWay. A great paint job always starts with the prep work.
Yes it does. Thanks
That MC is going to hurt some feelings this summer 4Sho. She’s coming along nicely Sprayway. 💯💪🏽🔥🔥
Thanks man
I’m painting a 97 obs right now. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Thank you.
Thanks Dave...that's great
I am mainly self taught. I went to vo tech for automatics. Started spray bombing trucks and bondo dents with my dad at 15 from stuff his older brother and family, friends taught him. I took it higher working at circuit city installing car audio, working in mechanic shops and 8 years in a body shop with o rellies paint both which sucks because have to buy their product to basically pay for it. Frame machine is a lot of work in collision work. Autobody shop is how I seen specialty tools, networking to people. Fixing plastic bumpers heat up stud melt it in till its strong then grind the studs off apply filler, prime, block. I love autobody work it keeps my anxiety low because it's a constantly busy process from start to finish. I love you videos because it's not bland autobody its more exotic like rondo interior work, kandy paint which I never done. I taught myself to paint because shop never would teach me but tractor paint did. Then went onto single stage Neeson. Schools teach basics not exotics or hacks. Like ford Laredo guys broke torque bits. I schooled them by spraying pb nut blaster tighten it a little to remove or square body 4 hours they tired bolt mirror on it just turned so hack pilot hole bigger bolt fixed. They done bodywork for years the dad, son. Poor boy DIY shade day tricks work. Like people say dont use pepper in pin hole of radiator if someone's poor gotta be at work well it stops it. I know what I wrote may sound nutty but love seeing your videos. The way it's going may be on a TV show. One man army better than the 20 man crews with millionaire dollar shops and tools
I agree totally man. Thanks for the great story.
We all have a story how we get to where we are going lol. Sometimes it's through storms and trials but devotion and ambition can move mountains.
Thank you for the encouraging words. I tell ppl this all the time. Knowledge is at our fingertips nowadays. So take advantage and believe in yourself.
I’ve been watching you for years and I’m finally ready to start painting my own stuff. Thank you for years of videos and amazing tips & knowledge & advice. You’re my absolute favorite ❤️. Much love
Absolutely!! Thank you
In here brother I know it's been a while. had a lot going on in my life but what hurt us makes us stronger 🤝
No doubt. I appreciate you fam
Love to see this gentleman working .
Thanks Galle
Bro I been watching you for a while ...!! .. this is your best narrated video ... I wish you'd do a full paint series explaining every step and products .. like I've never painted a car and don't know what sealer is for and when it's needed ..
I just painted my motorcycle following a RUclips guys instruction and it came out absolutely incredible
Ok.. thanks John
I have been a automotive painter for over thirty years, I’ve painted planes, boats, trains, forest machinery, military, I even worked for John Deere. I find your videos very relaxing, you are a incredible teacher, keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks David..really appreciate the support
I went to trade school, but you are right you can learn more on you tube. Ive learned a ton by watching your videos. School only gives you a piece of paper which means nothing when you go to an actual shop. That SS is gonna be nice. Keep them videos coming my brother. I got 66 Lincoln with the suicide doors it has alot of real estate to cover but you the man that can bring it back to life.
That's correct. Thanks man
That "piece of paper" is CREDIBILITY. Our people struggle with that. Formal training and education is a beautiful thing. RUclips is Kool but you can't learn how to weld from videos. Classroom theory to practical application is the way to go. You wouldn't want a doctor trained on RUclips videos would you?
I learned alot from you never went to school just picked up a gun and started spraying
Thanks T
Nice to here you learnt more on RUclips because that's how I am learning my self right now all you guys out there are a great inspiration to me and have been a very big help appreciate you all sprayway thanking you for all your help take care
I appreciate the continued support husky123
You are the main RUclipsr that I follow for paint and body. I watch others but yours is the best!
Thanks Leigh. Appreciate the support
I don’t think people realize all the steps and painstaking labour it takes to produce beautiful results!
I know wet sanding primer isn’t that exciting to watch for most but I’ve learned a ton from your videos and can’t wait to tackle some paint & body projects of my own!
I love those old Montes!
Great content as always! Keep up the great work!
Thank you Paul
Sprayway you are a great person and Teacher, love how every video you show us step by step and talk to us about what you're doing and what to use and what not to use. I appreciate you for sharing your skills with us. You're a gentlemen and a scholar. Keep up the great work Sprayway, and God Bless you and your family. Until next time, I can't wait to see it getting painted .💪🏼💯👍👍🙏🙏
I appreciate all your support Mike
Love your attention to detail. Also like that you show all the products you use and explain why your using them!
Thank you Mark
And I’m impressed with your music genre. A bit of everything.
Yes...I like a lot of stuff as long as it's good music
Love the way you show the small detail work as well. Some of us will probably miss the small chip or scratch but you always show us the detail work will make your job look that much better. I learning a lot from you. Keep up the great work. Thanks
No problem Frank....my pleasure
You’re a great teacher sprayway. People can learn a lot on your channel so keep them vids coming! Can’t wait to see that color on the outside!
Thanks Stout Custom...video dropping today
Man appreciate you for the content. You are exactly right. I get a lot of knowledge just from watching your videos. If I ever get my back together in this lifetime. I'm gonna try some of that on something in my side drive. 🎨🤣
Thanks for the support man
Trial and error is the best teacher and you don’t always get that experience in trade school 💯 another great video Sprayway 💪🏾
That's correct King. In trade school they had they picks on who could actually paint the cars, so I never got that experience until after trade school
Love the way you take pride in your work I'm from Trenton,NJ we don't have people like you up here
Thanks man
Love for you to work on my 87 GrandNational
Thats a straight to the point video, very easy to understand. I appreciate the knowledge shown and simple tips.
Great….thank you
No corners cut here! Awesome job sir! Keep
The videos coming 🔥🔥🔥
Sure will Juan
I love panting and body working so much. Just something about all the sanding prepping and finally seeing the beauty in something that only I have done brings me happiness. I plan to start trade school to learn more about collision repair soon. Your content inspires me to get out there and get at it even when I don’t want to. Would to learn from someone like you firsthand so much knowledge. Love the work keep it up bro
Go for it Christian....it's a great trade to know
“Take pride in your work...” That’s an awesome take away from this videos. All your videos show the pride you take in your work. Cheers to you!
Thanks Douglas
I’ve learned a lot from you’re channel. You explain the process very well. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Much respect 👍
Thanks Darrell
SpraywayCustoms great title, but your channel is the trade school!! Keep em coming Bro
Appreciate you
I can't do school I'm a visual and hands on learner I've learned alot from your channel and asking questions I worked on my second set of headlight buckets and as listening to some jazz relaxing for the soul
That's the way to do it. Thanks Tumas 🤝
@@SprayWayCustoms when it gets warmer out I plan on throwing my new trunk on and doing the body work
Many great teachers on youtube including you! .. Love the cars and the music from back in my day on your channel
Appreciate you
I learned myself picking little here and there and lots of mistakes. But thanks the man upstairs I got the hang of it. Now I’m a pro!!! Or just good enough 🤣Now I got my own painting booth and frame puller with 40x80 shop in back of my house. if you like the tray and you are a perfection you’ll get there!!! And always put God in your life you will get there. I love painting it a awesome job and giving people there dream car like they always wanted it to look like it a nice feeling. Hey my friend got blessings for and your family. Awesome job!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the support and your inspiring story
I can’t wait to see that metal flake & candy paint! 🔥🔥
Stay tuned...I'm on it now
I never went to trade school for painting I went for welding but everything I have learned it is from u I have done some really good painting jobs and I owe it all to u thanks for the awesome videos
That's awesome
My oldest son is finishing high school this year, he's been going to vo-tech for 11th and 12th grade for auto body. He really has not learned much of anything, between covid and supply issues, they were short on respirators, paints, guns, pretty much all required supplies. He basically learned how to prime, sand and patch sheet metal with a welder and do the required bodywork. Very little paint and clear work taught during his time there. I have him watching your channel and Pharraway, to learn more and build his confidence. Thanks for the knowledge brother.
Thanks. I wish him nothing but the best
Man I've been watching/studying you for at least a year. I told you before, You are the best painter out. I just did my first project (sprayed the engine compartment of one of my cars). It came out DRIPPIN!!! My homeboys couldnt believe i did it. Now everybody askin when ill be able to touch their projects. Im just workin on my own so I can get better. Keep up the good work Playboy. Appreciate all of yo instruction. 1 LOVE FORM OAKLAND CA
Great to hear that man...🙏🏽
The best way to learn is find a person you can work with side by side to learn. When I learn I went to go help an older guy for free for 3 months 35 years later still at it
That's correct man
Right on Spray Way. You brought back memories of my 77 Cutlass. I wrecked it, fixed it and was told wet sand it. Glad I get to see it done thoroughly., and it ain’t nothing like your candy paint jobs. Thanks for sharing. Great job. 💯
Appreciate you Alven
@@SprayWayCustoms like wise and thanks to you I’m learning. 👍🏼👍🏼
Always a great way to end a day with a Sprayway video
Thanks Jeff
Mane putting out 10k work on these cars. Give this man his flowers and that bag. It’s worth it 😊
Agreed!! Thanks
Great tutorial brotherman, and I seen you trying to bust a move with the music, being happy while you work, that's how we all should roll. Thanks.
Yes indeed Rick. That's what keep me going working alone

@@SprayWayCustoms your welcome.
Master Paint and Body man at work
Thanks Andrew
So tru Sprayway there's nothing like hands-on experience. If you don't try it for yourself you will never know how it is. And that's with anything you do. That's why I love your channel man you're a Beast 👍🏾💯💪🏾
Thanks Richard
I swear to God we got the same playlist sorry for leaving so many comments watching you from Detroit Michigan 💪🙏
No problem at all Eugene. We both have great taste in music then 🤝
My brother and I would stay watching dude videos. My brother passed a few weeks ago. He did all the body work and paint on his 86 Z28 learned everything thanks to this channel. The car will remain in the family. Preciate you famo!
I hate to hear that about your brother. Thanks Devaughn
God Bless you bro for dropping all this knowledge. Truly blessed with an amazing talent when it comes to what you’re physically doing as well as the delivery of your videos, editing, commentary, etc. Been rocking with you for a while and here to say every vid I’ve viewed has been entertaining and educational. 💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾
I appreciate that....yes you been with me since the begining.
Bought a 1982 s10 and thanks to you my man I have fully committed to doing my first paint job. Thank you 🙏. I don’t expect it to turn out show quality but I have full confidence that I can deliver an outstanding first paint job. (I owe that to you). I love detailing cars and when it comes to car shows I’m all about the paint jobs. Most people just look at the paint. It takes a true artist to look thru it. I’m so excited. I love watching you and would love to meet you some day. Maybe bump knuckles at a car show or something✌️ take care and keep ‘em wet!💎
Great...it’s good to hear that Murdy G

Thanks David....I'm hoping to have a C10 soon myself
Make sure the sand paper scales match. Cami (American) & P (European) Example: 600 cami is same as 1200p. They are close to the same until 220. They have a chart for reference.
Yes...you're correct Jeff
Thanks for posting. Something I'll be doing pretty soon Spray
